great flavors for the sauce + dry rub, the best combinations i've seen from countless tuna steak recipe videos. Gonna try this tonight, but maybe with some ginger and garlic added to the sauce due to personal preference. Thanks!
Used your recipe three times now. Awesome
I just made this recipe and it is absolutely amazing!!!
This will be my go to prep.. Thanks it is amazing
Short, sweet and to the point. I think I'm going to give this recipe a go tonight!!
Used this guide to make some tuna steaks tonight for dinner on my weber smokey joe. Came out excellent thank you
Made these tonight; never had done tuna steaks , loved them!
Made this today for the first time. Was delicious! I didn't have sesame seeds but it still was great!
Gracias por la receta!! Esta de lujo!!!
I made these yesterday, and this is a badass marinade recipe
I have been on a diet and cooking tuna like this has really helped in losing weight. I eat it on a bed of cauliflower rice and edamame with a little bit of soy sauce and ponzu. Delicious!
Great recipe came out great! Thanks
This recipe was excellent. My tween and college student both thought it was the best tuna they have ever had. Thanks for posting
Great recipe!
caught a blackfin tuna yesterday and will be cooking it today using this method.it looks great.
Awesome recipe thanks. Came out delicious on the barbq.
Omg man Just cook tuma for the first time on the grill followed your directions you were a tuna aficionado amazing ty
I made this one for dinner and it was fantastic! I used sunflower oil instead of olive oil (that was the only oil available in my pantry). Thank you for sharing this beautiful recipe.
Margaret S we're so glad you liked it! Thank you 😊
Thanks for the video. I was just gifted some nice tuna steaks and I've never cooked them for myself before. I'm excited to get them on the grill tomorrow. 👍
Great video. Thanks
I'll try it
just made the tuna.... excellent, and thank you for making it easy. no measurements... just common sense for cooks. tuna is fantastic! i cooked a little less... but thats me~ it was still seared beautifully!
Less? Isn't it just sashimi at that point?
@@michaelhoogendoorn3179 sashimi is just raw without any cooking or grilling.
Mahalo for the awesome recipe looks ono!
I’ve made these and it’s the only way I’ll eat tuna great job delicious
Thanks for sharing. My ahi tuna tasted incredible. 🤠
I followed the video and cant wait to grill on the weber tomorrow!
Look great combination for the sauce I might add ginger, garlic as well. I bought 2 pieces blackfin tuna steak will follow yours recipe tonight. Thanks for the tips.
How did it go
My whole mouth just filled with water.. 😋
Will be cooking tonight wish me luck!
nice
Looks great. I’m confused. How many minutes per side do you suggest?
love the 70's porn star music in backround, video was great
Jimmy Burke! Hey, I thought you died in Attica, buddy.
Just tried your method and wow....that was awesome!!!!
Thanks :) we are so glad you like it!
I have made this 10 times or more. It is very good. Here are some hints.
-I stopped using wasabi paste and couldn't tell any difference.
-I prefer to marinade for 2-5 hours rather than over night
-you have to cook it medium rare, over cooking the tuna will dry it out and ruin the meal
-i put the dry rub on one side not both
Love the recipe. Gotta try it. Thanks alot. I wondering if there's any difference if I let the tuna marinate a little longer. Lol I got a thing for marination....my word 😆
That's what I did. About half an hour was plenty.
Have you try to cook on an iron pan on the grill? Congrats, look perfect!
Yes, we've grilled sausages on an iron pan before.. It was delicious! Thank you for watching!
Try cedar plank too
Making this tonight don’t have sesame seeds , gonna use everything bagel seasoning
i make this 3 times a week. I make salsa to go with it with diced fresh apricot, tomatillo, tomato & cilantro , always have fresh lemon to squeeze over the tuna
Should they be cold from the fridge or around room temp before grilling?
Recipe sounds great I wish it had the amounts that he used
Question. Is it safe to refrigerate for a few hours after cooking or do they need to be ate immediately due to the rawness???
I just did this recipe it was a bit salty but good
you need to sharpen that knife but looks really good
Sushi baby!
I will try it
Patience Mwemena let us know if you enjoy
Sorry I was thinking for something else yes I did enjoy even my family did
Wow is all I ha e to say
Nomok thanks :)
Where do you find the written recipe ? I’m new to UA-cam.
Why you have to dab the moisture off if you are dunking them right afterwards into moisture 🤔
I never go more than one minute per side
Thats a lot of black pepper! :p
That was a lot of sesame oil!!!
What internal temp are you looking for
It's tuna- is there even a target internal temp? My understanding is that you're just looking to sear the outside
There isn't one. It should simply be rare on the inside and seared on the outside. Unless you like yours well done, in which case, eat something else.
No seseme seeds ahhh
Good recipe but leave at the suicide in the salt it was way too salty
,,
Can you list measurements?
Bro......take the grill off to spray. That flame creeps back into that compressed can..... and you're going to have a bad day
Bruh.... don't be a wimp!
Never happened once in 20 years for me. There’s real problems, then there’s theoretical problems.
The wasabi that wE usualy eat is basicaly bade out of mustard because real wasabi is for bilionairs
😂
How bout including amounts of each ingredient for the seasoning......
For the liquids I "guestimated" about a Tbs each. A little more for the soy. The dry rub I just sprinkled each ingredient across both sides of the tuna steaks after brushing the sauce on and letting it seep in a bit. . I had 5 tuna steaks and they were great. I hope that helps.
WHERE is the recipe??????
This comment is half "tongue in cheek" but also a bit serious. I was enjoying much of this recipe until the Real Lemon brand lemon juice was being used. Use a "real lemon" or, (if you don't have actual lemons in the house) a quality lemon juice that isn't mostly additives or chemicals. It will enhance the flavors.
Overcooked
Spice measurements would be awesome. I made this and WAYYYYY too salty. Better next time!
overcooked
Too raw!! But nice presentation.
Holy dull knife 🔪 🤦🏻♂️
you ruined that tuna... waaaay overcooked!
Depends on your source of very fresh tuna. High quaility, low cook time as you probably know....worth finding best you can
Spraying cooking spray over an open flame is a rookie mistake. Its like using hair spray while your smoking. 🤦🏻 Just plain stupid. You take a brush and lightly rub the grill with oil.
Cesar B oil your food not your grill
It makes it more adventurous. You Need to lighten up Francis
@Dartgame 340 if the flam goes back into the nozzle your going to melt fast snowflake. This isn’t politics this is just intelligent.
I just watched this video and was also thinking about the flamable spray, but I live near Lake Tahoe where we're extremely weary of wildfire dangers.
Sucked so bad! Way to many ingredients! Less is more
Way too salty it doesn’t say what kind of salt it doesn’t say how much does an actually say how much of anything to use I find another recipe did not like it at all
No soy for this guy. Gross.
Foolish mortal! Thou shalt keep the grill low and slow. Thou shalt wrap thine tuna in tin foil to keep in the fluids. Thou shalt flip no more than once.
You don't get an adequate sear wrapped in foil. Also there's no need for "low and slow", we're not cooking a brisket here.
Presentation skills need a lot of work, sharp knife is also something to look into. And maybe a dry run of your dialog before filming
And explain WHY you are doing what you are doing
nice
