First train set I ever got was a New York Central fast freight set, I never could’ve predicted the door it would open. Thanks for reminding me of my early childhood.
The 72nd st railyard on the west side of Manhattan is now a park with the remains of some of the barge loaders intact. The park runs up and down the river and is a wonderful walk if you visit NYC. Look at it on Google sattelite view.
The 72st railyard is once again a railyard under the overbuild along the west side highway. Amtrak rebuilt the railyard to store NJ Transit, Amtrak, and MetroNorth trains. It’s not as grand as it once was, but what is old is new again. The new Penn Station is absolutely beautiful.
No problem. Not saying you are, but a lot of guys w/ layouts this spectacular act high and mighty and only run DCC, certain road names, brands, etc. I wouldn't mind running the stuff I enjoy such as Tenshodo/Lionel/Gilbert from the 50s/60s on a layout like this.....just way too cool.
Paul, excellent video of your layout. Looks like you've got some serious mainline length there with the 4 track main and that large of a multi-deck layout. Looking forward to the next update. Cheers, Kevin
AWE-SOME! The New York Central is favorite line and this layout and the trains are just magnificent. As Zelda the Swordsman commented, would love to see more of the Niagara. But hey. wonderful layout, lovely video. Thank you!
God damn that layout is awesome! I too plan on making the NYC my layout theme. Gonna have to settle for an N scale branch line though instead of a HO main like I initially wanted.
This is the layout of my dreams. Absolutely incredible!!! Fantastic detail.
This was very enjoyable and soothing.
Nice homie 👍
Beautiful layout &great scenery.
Good job ... Make a video about the empire state express only ... Because I love this train and video about it's so hard to find on UA-cam
