Hudson 5344 is a BLI Paragon model with many modifications including a QSI Revolution sound system. One of my other videos feathures this model and its modifications. This loco has several years of hard use.
There is no such thing as a heavyweight "20th Century Limited" with two tone grey cars since the streamlined version of the train went into service on June 15, 1938. Two tone grey heavyweight cars were used by the NYC on various trains thru the 50's.
The first Hudson is a modified Broadway Limited J1e with a QSI Revolution sound system. The second Hudson is a Westside Mizuno built (Craftsman #4) J3a with a Lenz gold mini decoder and a Lenz power 1 module with no sound system. The J3a locomotive is appropriate since they were bult in 1937 and were probably used on the 20th Century Limited before the introduction of the streamlined train in June 1938.
NYC heavyweight cars were not painted in two tone gray until the early 50's.This train represents the 'pre streamlined' (before June 17th, 1938) 20th Century Limited.
Awesome set! I noticed that the TCY car set is only 8 cars yet your train is 12. Could you tell me what the prototype consist was? Or direct me to a link that has that info?
Question ... are the marker lights on the last Passenger Car, battery operated or track powered? I'm looking at the Tomar Industries marker lights, and they say they can be powered either way. Just curious how you set yours up. Thanks!
These are brass passenger cars released by The Coach Yard in August, 2012. I have made minor modifications to the cars.

Very nice! Some curves are too sharp for fast trains.
