Today I'm recreating current ~trendy~ outfits in a size 14/16! As a midsize / plus size person, sometimes it can be hard to find trends that are displayed on a body similarly sized to you. Instagram and Pinterest are a big source of inspiration for me when it comes to fashion and trends, so I thought it would do a plus size version and show you my take on 5 SUPER popular trends right now: sweater vests, tennis skirts, leather leggings / leather pants, shackets, and skorts! Hey Carrie! I use that dphue product kind of like a toner, to maintain my desired color . And I use it as a replacement for my regular conditioner about once a week. I agree, the strawberry blonde is super cute on you!
And it even matches her style so much especially her mustard orange and brown outfits
Fun video idea. Have followers send you photos from their closets of items that they don't know what to pair with, or how to style it! or helping a follower make a couple new outfits out of clothes they already have! - You always make such cool combos that I would never think of!
Sofia del Mar does that. Itś called „Hässliche Teile kombinieren“ (Matching ugly pieces), but the videos are in German though. But its a really cool idea and in the end most pieces look cool combined with nice clothes.

I love how all these "trends" are what we wore as kids and teens in the 80s and 90s. I basically had all of these. I have to say, I dressed baggy and whatever for years hiding my body and wishing I could wear what I liked. I think it was shortly after my second child that I decided... F it. I wear whatever I feel like it that day and the compliments rolled in. Not that I needed them but they were nice to hear. Just do it for yourself and you'll feel a hell of a lot better about yourself.
Yess!!!! I bet the compliments were partly coming from not the outfit but your confidence 🙂. Confidence is a great look on anyone 🙌. I went through the same thing when I became a wheelchair user, people are always staring at me so I started dressing more how I want to because people are already looking, might as well rock what I want 😋
Yep, I had a 90s outfit that was a men's avocado green button down with a boxy, avocado green sweater vest. I probably wore that with docs and baggy jeans. I like this resurgence of sweater vests a lot. And Carrie, you looked super cute in all these outfits!

Yep, I had a lime green skort set from Limited Too in like 1998... I usually didn't dress that trendy though, most of my 90s wardrobe was sweat pants and my dad's old tshirts lol

I think the Shacket outfit is my favorite, but the one that gave me the most inspo is the leather leggings/pants one. I felt very self-conscious about that trend because faux leather doesn't really leave anything to the imagination... but I loved how it looked on you Carrie! So freaking cute!

I went to school in Asia where we wear uniforms from kindergarten to university. I cannot believe that uniforms are trendy now. 😅
I went to catholic school in the USA. I totally understand. I should have kept my uniform after graduation lol. Only if I knew it was going to be trendy

CARRIE this is exactly what I needed. I was on Pinterest today adding pins to my "style inspo" board AND YOU WOULD NOT BELIEVE THE LACK OF MIDSIZE GIRLS THERE ARE ON THAT DAMN APP. I felt so terrible, and like I couldn't dress the way I wanted because there were only pictures of skinny girls that I was seeing and saving. Tysm for helping me realize that I CAN DRESS HOWEVER THE HELL I WANT 💕💕
Sierra did a video about that and everyone in the comments came for her and said she was wrong. But my experience has been the same as hers and yours. Only one body type represented unless you add "plus size" to it. So annoying.

I recommend Dynamite's leather pants and leggings for midsize women! They fit great and are smooth, I absolutely hate when leather bunches. I'm a US 8-10 and range between a medium and a large, I went with a large with the Dynamite ones because they didn't have medium in stock but I'm happy with them.
Honestly, Carrie, I've subscribed to Billie for two years and I absolutely love it. The holder is absolutely amazing and the cartridges last forever and I've saved so much money. Billie is the best.

Oh my god I know. My mom and sister keep asking me what I want for Christmas. And its like....nothing? Im immunocompromised so I havent left the house much since March. When I do, its either for dire doctor or procedure/test appointments or the rare drive thru or ATM stop.

Had to try quite several pair of faux leather leggings before found the perfect pair. I own two pairs. First pair is Miss Selfridge faux leather leggings (ordered via Asos) which I like to wear with dresses. Second pair is from New Look that can be wear as pants because of the thicker material.

I think the key is to not limit yourself to only wearing things that make you look smaller/thinner on purpose and not trying trends that you love because it “won’t look good on you” or makes you appear larger. But I still think you can wear “shaping” clothing sometimes as well. Getchu a girl who can do both!

I love Billie razors!! No way did I believe that anything would match my Venus razors but they do. I’ve tried most razors now and Billie is it!! Great video Carrie. I love the sweater vest trend. I have a few now, mostly off white. A tip. You can double thee trend by picking up a used sweater. Pick the sleeves off and add a shoulder pad. It looks pretty good. 🌸💕🌸

Depends on the time and place on where you wear the skirt and also how you accesorise it my Grandma wore skirts that showed leg till she was 57 . And I find seeing older women in skirts I think they look great and are actually more creative than their younger counterparts in combining outfits. Just wanted to say I don't think your ever to old for a short skirt it just depends if you feel like you really want it. Don't let society's obsession with youth culture tell you you can't be beautiful or sexy at an age older than 30. I'm a 23 yr old woman currently who just wants to say you ladies are bold and beautiful and I believe in you! ❤

I was always really lean and after graduating college and actually eating (turns out I had an ED) I've gained some weight. I lost a love for fashion because of my body but seeing your videos (and Sierra's, love you both!) I'm learning that it's the clothes fault, not mine! Bc quarantine I don't care about fashion but when I'm back in the office best believe I'm coming back looking HOT AS HELL with my new found confidence

Thank you for making this video! The collared shirt/sweater combination (as well as the tennis skirt) gives me flashbacks to my grade school, I went to Catholic school and we 1000% had to wear that for our uniforms every day (as well as in High School!)

I’ve heard straight sized people rave about them-so I’d like to see them on someone midsize. 2) have you ever done a try on with universal standard? Would love to see you try them-they are 00-40, but there’s a 2-inch gap between each size, so still might have the straight/plus issue...
