Awesome review. Thank you fir sharing your time and talent in this niche area. As a wheelchair user, it is so appreciated! The van is great. There is only one huge feature missing-lithium. There are those of us that require dependable electricity options based on medical devices required. Lithium systems like they have in the Travado and Bolt (Volta) would have been the best option. Wheelchairs can’t always go where we would like, but an accessible van breaks down all of the barriers, allowing us to reach new heights. Travel becomes easier. Even visiting family members living in inaccessible homes becomes possible through moochdocking. The sky is the limit-non lithium is another limiting barrier. It should be an option. Again, thank you.
Perhaps red or flashing LED lights should be mounted onto the lift when extending/extended so as to make it more visible to nearby drivers and pedestrians. I could see situations where someone might not realize what the lift is doing, etc. Also, perhaps the microwave needs a heavy duty version of a drop down overhead cabinet/shelf, which is either motorized or has piston assist to offset the weight. - Love your tours Hank & Lola
Oh I forgot you had made this video but I’m happy it came up again. This video answered all of my questions. Especially about the back up for the lift which I’ve had a couple fail with Wheelchair accessible vans. The transfer seat if it could rise or lower. The wheelchair accessible bathroom which I would only wish that they would add more transfer bars that one behind the commode would not work for me I need at least two points of contact because my legs like to do the funky chicken when I try to stand. The price I want to mention is more than reasonable. My 2019 Toyota sienna wheelchair accessible van is $84,000. Doesn’t have a bathroom doesn’t have a place for me to stretch doesn’t have any of the amenities that this one does. Extremely reasonable. I’m definitely going to consider it the next time I get a new wheelchair accessible van.
Thank you for this video and walkthrough. Your questions ( and these comments down here) were the things on my mind. While still steep for a Promaster, the base price ($135l) is a little more palatable than the $154k listed a few weeks ago on the website (which has since been edited to remove price). Except for JAN-FEB, we would need AC all the time, suggesting the power capacity needs some upgrading. The comment regarding an anchored seatbelt for the passenger riding next to the kitchen station is certainly valid. While convenient, the UVL seems pretty close to the ground and has me concerned about driveway entry/exit or small drainage run offs and scraping the heck out of that thing - I understand the utility and space saving on the interior however, Finally, the 2022 Promaster cockpit had a much-needed update. I imagine it will be at least early Spring 2023 before we begin seeing them available from WB.
Thank you for the video. Love the drop down cabinets. I think they limited the use by not offering the Lithium. I understand they probably didn’t have room for the generator due to the placement of the lift. It limits boon docking especially in Florida.
I love this . This would also be a great daily driver for those who need an accessible unit with an accessible bathroom. Great informative video! Thanks for posting.
I’d like to see the passenger seat removed and QStraints set in place so a power wc can lock in place next to the driver. Nobody wants to feel like they are riding in a school bus! This accommodates a person in a manual WC. Power WC needs more room otherwise it’s like rolling forward/backwards movement for the disabled person. Love the concept! These vans needs the heavy duty lithium power supply. The miles a lone put on the ramp will drain the power quickly. Personally, bathroom needs with use of a transfer machine above in the shower for the caregiver to use to transfer loved one! As far as the ramp goes, like another viewer mentioned, looks like it sets low to the ground like a mini van which causes bottoming out over speed bumps ect. My final suggestion, have a paraplegic in his power wc model and ask the questions. There are things they see that the able bodied cannot to help you improve on the future models. This van looks perfect for someone who still has strength for transfers.
You can get a grant from the VA if you are a disabled veteran for one of these. They will pay about $21,000 plus change for the lift cost and tie downs. La Meas RV in Mesa, AZ has already done the paper work. Talk to Jason at that facility.
This is what I would need as parent and self are wheelchair bound. It would be used daily, as bathroom and bed would help so much, as parent is 98 going on 1,000 years old 🤣😂😅. I would like my toilet to be in center as heavy people with heavy chairs can use the clearance. I agree with another poster, toilet could be higher. This is so perfect for on the go. Just having a place to go, rest, change clothes is a blessing! Induction cook top would be something to make a drawer for. No flames to set off oxygen tanks. Electric is best. Maybe solar power may help with linking to this van.
Great video. My critique will be on the van which is only meant to address possible short comings. First the turning area is a plus but understand the person must enter the bathroom then back out. No way to turnaround from the rear of the vehicle. The tie downs are great but there must be a shoulder strap also or during a accident even a minor one the wheelchair user will be injured. Next the toilet needs to be at lest 19 inches high to aid in transfers also a bidet style would be my choice. And the rear transfer bar needs a similar one on the wall on the left. For me turning I use two different bars. Last the reachability with cabinets is a welcome. Trying to reach for items can cause a fall. The price is well within the range of wheelchair accessible vehicles. My 2020 Toyota is 84k total. That’s the base model limited and the mods. As always a great video. Like I said I’m praying Elon makes a wheelchair van that gives me even more freedom.
Thanks my friend, I appreciate your feedback, I will definitely make an effort to get the folks over there to check out these comments...also I hope to see more manufacturers working on projects like this
Nice video. How reliable is the engine? Can i take it across country and its not going to die on me😂? How about heater/AC while its parked? How does that work? Thx
Is it possible to have a different lift installed like the drawbridge kind or the kind that comes out from under the van but its a ramp and not a lift.

@@strangerpalooza Thank you so very much. Your channel is amazing. Your wife does a wonderful job with camera and backup questions!

you're welcome GG Lithium is really necessary in all of these vans especially as folks spend more time in them
Well done as always. Thanks for showing this model for those who need something more accessible.

I hope so too!
Please show with mobility scooters.
I may have missed this, but is the city water connect in the back where the door has to be open? What is the CCC and the gas mileage?
Wow! Thank you for this video!

It’s time for a distributor in Canada.
