La Mesa RV in Mesa, AZ has done the paperwork with the VA. You can get a VA grant of $21,000 plus change for the lift and tie downs, dropping your over all price by that much. Talk to Jason at La Mesa.
I hear you - it’s pricey but I bet there’s a lot of dealer negation you could do to get a better price. Looks like it comes in 3 colors: Bright White, Deep Cherry Red, and Bright Silver. Check out the website here for pics of each: www.winnebago.com/models/product/motorhomes/accessibility-enhanced/roam
I’m not sure … but I would think any Winnebago dealer would be able to order it. I would check with your local RV dealer or check the Winnebago website for where the closest dealer near you.
Yes, the shower was fine for my height but the bed was a little short. However, a lot of people don’t fully stretch out on the bed so they may be alright. Or if you can sleep a little diagonally it may work , too. Definitely a great van for people who need the accessibility but there are lots of other vans with bigger beds if that’s what is important to you. Everything’s a compromise…
Not at all accessible for the average wheelchair user. Only a wheelchair athlete could transfer from chair to the car seats or bed or even the toilet. Winnebago failed....and so does the demonstration.
But is there a better solution from another RV manufacturer? Agree there are things that can be improved, but at least it’s a start at an accessible RV, right?
My mistake if I implied it was an investment - it's a purchase to get you out of your house doing something you love in the event you need a little assistance along the way. The loading ramp, bars in the bathroom, and all around extra space for mobility will be perfect for some, but it’s clearly not for everyone - and I don’t think anyone should consider buying it as a traditional "investment".
@@howwevan I understand that but think about it, people now are getting smarter and would rather see there money grow than see it disappear just like that. You will NEVER see that money back once you purchase any type of RV.

Happy New Year!🎆
Thanks great Van
Thanks! Appreciate you watching!
Husband is taller than 6 feet, have him measured one more time :) Thank you for a great video!
Ha! Thanks for watching.
It needs a remote control power door.
Agree … that would be very useful! Thanks for watching!
Wade could probably fit in the shower in his bare feet, but probably still would not fit in the bed.

This demonstration would be much better if it were done by a person in a wheelchair rather than an able body person
Agree that would make for a better tour of the rig. Safe travels!

Sorry the video didn’t meet your expectations. This van works great for my in-laws’ needs.
IMHO, poorly designed even for. the handicapped.

Poor customer service. This RV has so many problems. Been in shop more than on road. Very expensive and not worth it Don't buy one.
Thank you for your review of the Roam. It’s frustrating when things don’t work. Hopefully they’ll get it all sorted out soon! Good luck!
Just curious about what you are having problems with? Is it with the house or the chassis, or both? What are some of the issues? Thanks
A 135,000 Van that when you buy it off the lot losses 30% What kind of investment is this again??
