Congratulations on your new journey. Peaceful & happy life is more important. I left Nigeria when I was 19 years old now 37 years. Lived in America for 17 years and also became a citizen. After traveling around the world and seeing the world for what it really is, we decided to move back to Nigeria after 17 years in America. Our family and friends thought that was the most stupid idea ever. Leaving a great country like America to live in Nigeria. Well, when I left I was 19 and my frontal lobe was still developing. At this age and time, I realized everything in USA and Europe is not mine or my ancestors. I realized my ancestors that died during slavery and colonization will be proud of my decision to come back home. Most folks will eventually come to this realization at some point in their lives but let it not be at 90 years old. Now, Nigeria isn’t for everyone neither is abroad. You first have to have a purpose in life and decide what you wanna do next. Moving to Nigeria has given me the long awaited peace that I longed for. No more living around non empaths with guns and women who are comfortable marrying 10 times. No more police harassment which I encountered multiple times. No more profiling or job segregation and folks yelling “go back to your Africa” after stealing lands from Native-Americans.😂 They’re two types of folks in this world. 1. The ones that found a solution 2. The ones that created the solution. Nigeria isn’t for the weak and you all can argue with yourselves but you cannot make money or live the kind of life you’ll live in Lagos anywhere else in the world. Most folks overseas have multiple kids and a 9-5 jobs. Imagine bringing a family of 7 back home? When flights are $1,500 each and you also have to pay bills in America before leaving and also bills while in Nigeria for a family of 7 that’s a lot of money to just visit Nigeria. They’ll rather lie to the kids that Nigeria is a dead zone. Tayo Aina single handedly raised $100’s of thousands to buy a passport while working from Nigeria. Let’s not forget that Nigeria made him the man we know today before he decided to move for his own peace and reasons. Africa is the future. WW1 & WW2 couldn’t touch us. Truth be told, the world is fighting to own Africa because we are in resentment not knowing that we’re the only 100% original DNA left in this world, everyone else is mixed with some sort of blood in them. All the vegetations and Human Resources is here. We don’t buy dogs because we cannot afford kids. We buy dogs for security and reproduce babies like crazy. That’s who we truly are. We are the food basket of the world and soon Indians, Lebanese, Pakistanis and Chinese will buy Africa from us. Nigeria will always be home for me and will be selling homes for returnees in the next 10 years when they’re no longer lands in Lekki for sale.🇳🇬✊🏾 As for us, we worked hard to be here and at some point you realize another man created the money you’re constantly chasing. My dad is 100 years and happy in Nigeria and nothing beats the joy of him seeing me and his namesake/grandkid. My parents were farmers and we never lacked food or anything growing up. Even the Chinese are coming to Nigeria to farm while we are running away from farming. Just because we don’t want anyone to call us farmers, we prefer to be called engineers instead. I Love it when i read these rare stories! Nigeria truly has its many issues(which country doesn't?) Hey tayo Nigerian in Portugal here. Welcome to Lisbon, about the Nigerian community in Portugal, there are quite a number of Nigerians I’m Portugal. I have been in Lisbon for a year now and I have met at least 100 different Nigerians , you can find them in churches like riverside Lisbon, redeem, dominion city church and most work for a company called Teleperformance. There is definitely quite a lot of Nigerians living in Portugal but just concentrated to a particular place. Also thank you so much for this video and highlighting the importance of a good quality of life, I love telling stories and filmmaking so i will definitely start next year. Thank you for inspiring me ❤. Merry Christmas
Hello brother, can you please share your experience or someone that you know about airport transit visa requirements in Lisbon International Airport. I saw Nigerian and Eritrea etc are required to have an airport transit visa. But alo read its not required if you have a visa from US, Canada etc could please share your experience thanks

He made the decision to move mainly due to the stress and expense associated with flying out of Nigeria. The constant need to make connecting flights through different countries took a toll on his health. In Portugal, however, he can access direct flights with minimal or no connecting flights.
Very true, but lots of things need to be taken into account like costs and your career. I wish I could just drop everything and move abroad, but a full proof plan needs to be put into place or I'll be living on the streets in an entirely new place 🥲
So awesome Tayo! I came across your channel, when I saw Portugal 🇵🇹! I was born and raised in Portugal, descended from Capeverdeans! Soooo happy that you found peace in my hometown Lisbon! I do reside in USA for the last 20 years. I miss Portugal so much however I love USA. Will be visiting next year in July! Que Deus te abençoe nesta jornada! Muito obrigada pelo teu canal! Paz e Amor ✌🏾 ❤
As much as I love your new chapter, It is sad for Nigeria that the country is not able to retain their best minds. The new generations of Nigerians must stand up to the political oligarchs to improve the conditions in the country. We cannot alow self centred African leaders to derail the lives of the youth. We wish you well Tayo and looking forward to great content. Frm SOuth Africa
It really is sad. Many of the points he raised about the living conditions in Nigeria are very real to me. I know what it means to be frustrated by your environment. It's sad
@thabeloyanga. Even those who live in a world where everything seems to work better still have different challenges. Some people may have much poverty in a family and still be functional, while others may have much illness and pain with riches and experience more disability. Two more bloggers will fill the gap in just 1 year; we must allow growth to occur.

I remember subscribing when you were under 100K and you've grown so much since. I'm looking forward to a revisit in South Africa soon.
Thanks for your honesty. I wrote to you the beginning of this year because I was depressed and thought about ending my journey. Your words were uplifting and raised my spirits. I visited St. Kitts for a month and it recharged my spirit. Thank you, thank you and thank this channel. Wishing us all prosperity, love and joy in the new year.
Good for you, left Nigeria 35 years ago for the same reasons, but take a tip.....home is where you safely lay your head and build a life of your dreams! Wishing you love and wife and kids in due time.
I lived in Marbella, Spain for about a year and i cant tell you my mental health was at 99.9%. There is something about living in an environment that allows you do whatever you want, whenever you want to. I am genuinely happy for you Tayo. You seem like a genuine guy who wants the best for his country, and for that alone I wish you all the very best. I shall keep on supporting in my own little way! Cheers and God bless
Congratulations on your relocation. At the end of the day happiness is where you find it. Life is a continuum and we make decisions everyday. Just be true to yourself. I lived in the UK for 4 four years. Left Naija as an adult. After a while i got tired of life there. Felt i wasn't living the life i wanted even though I had constant light, water, security etc. I felt drawn back home and I did come back. Strangely with all Naija issues I'm happier here and feel like my life has more purpose. But thats after my 4 year sojourn. So live your life bro, enjoy yourself and take whatever decision you feel is right for you. There is no one size fits all solution to everyones life. Peace.
I feel the same - lived abroad for some time but I'm still drawn to Nigeria. It's funny because a friend and I just discussed this topic moments ago. My friend is all for living abroad, I prefer it in Nigeria. And yes, many challenges in Nigeria, but we can't all leave
Though presently I live in Europe,I will never forget or abandon Nigeria it is were I was born and where I took my character and mentality from I will one day go back there and contribute my own quota of development for that country
Nobody is asking you to forget since nobody forgets their mother but the issue here is not about forgetting but about the unbearable misery that Nigerians have lived in owing to poor corrupt leadership in a country which has a lot of oil like many of the Arab countries yet it has nothing to show for it.
Congratulations brother Tayo! Your brother from Sénégal living in the diapora here. Many Nigerians often act as if every bad thing in the world happens here, but that mindset needs to change. Yes, we face serious challenges, but we also have the power to turn things around. Change starts with each of us. As we demand better leadership, we also need to take a hard look at ourselves, reject bad habits, and embrace values like honesty and responsibility. Building a better Nigeria isn’t just about holding leaders accountable-it’s about all of us doing our part to create the country we want to see.
You're talking like it's easy. We have to just face the reality. It's not easy in Nigeria. And for how many years have you people been talking about change? We all don't have the same threshold and luxury to spare wasting time in a country where everything is messed up and only works for the rich. Put your hand on your chest and tell us the Nigeria is better than Portugal. Some you just talk anyhow. No one is forcing you to side with them anyways, if you want to stay, stay. Allow those who are moving to move in peace. After all it's all about preference. Please rest
Look what is happening to someone like Dele Farotimi right now ; a well known lawyer & human rights activist. Nigerians aren't that bothered about anything than having affordable food, how many people are protesting for him? As people we are to passive, we are not ready for change yet.
@@shansson5130 what's happening to Farotimi is the consequences of his actions. This is the problem with Nigerians, you all love to talk trash and do wrong but hate consequences. You're narcissists
Dey whine urself Nigeria can never change unless total anarchy when you look into the west and other successful countries they went try many changes before getting to where they are.
Hello Tayo Aina. I am also an immigrant who has lived in Lisbon for the last four years and has been following your channel for one and a half years. Your journey to your passion & fulfilling your dream inspires me a lot. I ever wondered when will I be able to see you in Portugal. Congratulations to you for getting 1 million subs and hats off to your channel through which we can see the high quality of content regarding travel, lifestyle, and philosophy. By the way, I not only liked your balcony but also liked the interiors of the apartment in Lisbon. Stay blessed ever.
T.. this is so inspiring 😢.. my eyes are literally tearing up right now! I am so so proud of you! I started following your journey years ago and you are 1 sub away from 1 million 🎊 🎊! I pray that God will bless you immensely as you begin this new journey! And yes, you will now speak another language! I am 47 and I feel I still don’t know what my purpose on earth is.. I legit had a conversation about this with God this morning… begging him to reveal it to me… one thing I do know for sure is.. I have 3 daughters and extremely grateful to God for them and I am already praying 🙏🏽 that God will reveal their purpose to them much sooner than me! I can’t wait to see where you go from here 🎉!
Thank you so much, this is really heartfelt. I believe your purpose will be revealed to you through prayers, self reflection and taking action. That’s how mine was revealed to me. I wish you success in your Journey. Thanks for watching my videos ❤️
What exactly are you passionate about positively and negatively. Positive being what do you enjoy doing? Negatively being what drives your anger? Delve deeper into those searches and you can build purpose around those. For me my passion is cooking and I have big ideas in my head but I can’t figure out a starting point. What drives my anger is seeing people flout rules. I don’t see myself being a police officer though. Just gave this examples hoping you grasp what I’m trying to communicate. Blessings sis.
Well done Tayo, do not limit yourself. Your uneasy spirit is telling you to go for more than you are being served, live life and keep moving forward 🇯🇲

This video seems so simple but pregnant with meanings. A covert message to the Nigerian government. We are not Sking for much, just an enabling environment to thrive and pursue our dreams.
Hey Tayo, Congrats on hitting a million subs and on your new country of residence. I saw Nigerian and Eritrea etc are required to have an airport transit visa. But alo read its not required if you have a visa from US, Canada etc could please share your experience thanks
Lol he doesnt want to hear that, he moved to Portugal because he thought he will be the only one
So brother, no more need for the St Kitts passport?
@@flowyscreations The St. Kitts passport would still offer him easy access to various countries. He made the decision to move mainly due to the stress and expense associated with flying out of Nigeria. The constant need to make connecting flights through different countries took a toll on his health. In Portugal, however, he can access direct flights with minimal or no connecting flights.
Life is too short and the world is too vast. Never limit yourself to a certain place or habit or anything else. Always expand.
Sense full your head!
Very true, but lots of things need to be taken into account like costs and your career. I wish I could just drop everything and move abroad, but a full proof plan needs to be put into place or I'll be living on the streets in an entirely new place 🥲
Gbam!
Tayo is living proof that anything is possible . I am so happy for you like you're my brother and congratulations on 1 million subscribers .
Not everything. Pretty sure you can't be an astronaut or a US president.

He seems like a pretty privileged middle class Nigerian to me
So awesome Tayo!

There is something about living in an environment that allows you do whatever you want, whenever you want to. I am genuinely happy for you Tayo. You seem like a genuine guy who wants the best for his country, and for that alone I wish you all the very best. I shall keep on supporting in my own little way!

Nice to know, I will be visiting Marbella in a few days, wish you could show me around 😊
Cheers to 1 million subscribers Tayo.
You deserve every form of reward you are currently enjoying.
You worked for it and big congratulations.
Congratulations on your 1m and I am glad you’re winning. Everyone has something they’re fighting.. keep fighting and keep winning .
Peace.
❤
I feel the same - lived abroad for some time but I'm still drawn to Nigeria. It's funny because a friend and I just discussed this topic moments ago. My friend is all for living abroad, I prefer it in Nigeria. And yes, many challenges in Nigeria, but we can't all leave

Gratitude to your roots 🙏
Nice.
Nobody is asking you to forget since nobody forgets their mother but the issue here is not about forgetting but about the unbearable misery that Nigerians have lived in owing to poor corrupt leadership in a country which has a lot of oil like many of the Arab countries yet it has nothing to show for it.

Oh no! I have a profound dream to visit Nigeria, Cameroon, Benin, Mali, Ghana, and Senegal not only for my own sake but also to pay tribute to my ancestors who were violently torn from their homeland and subjected to the horrors of the transatlantic slave trade. They endured generations of suffering, and now that I have the freedom they were denied, I feel compelled to return in their honor and let them know that we have come back home.

💯💯💯
@@shansson5130 what's happening to Farotimi is the consequences of his actions. This is the problem with Nigerians, you all love to talk trash and do wrong but hate consequences.
You're narcissists
Dey whine urself Nigeria can never change unless total anarchy when you look into the west and other successful countries they went try many changes before getting to where they are.

Hello Tayo Aina. I am also an immigrant who has lived in Lisbon for the last four years and has been following your channel for one and a half years. I saw your videos on Portugal before but now can't believe that my favorite UA-camr has come to live in the same city in which I live. Hope to see you one day and have coffee together. Congratulations to you for getting 1 million subs and hats off to your channel through which we can see the high quality of content regarding travel, lifestyle, and philosophy. T.. this is so inspiring 😢.. my eyes are literally tearing up right now!
@ Amen 🙏🏽! I believe so too.. thank you so much Tayo. God bless you 🙏🏽
What exactly are you passionate about positively and negatively.
Congratulations Tayo on reaching 1M. Looking forward to your vlogs now your based in Lisbon, Portugal.
