    Gear changes seemed exceptionally smooth there. Someone else said it was "clunky" but didn't look like it when you were driving.

    • @Bhroman
      @Bhroman  Рік тому

      Yeah I've heard that from others.. it didn't feel clunky to me whatsoever. It was very smooth actually

    Great job! I really liked the "tour" through the cockpit and controls and the expected maintanance costs.

    I rode one of these in New Jersey at the motorcycle mall of New Jersey in 2018 when they 1st came out and that day I should have purchased it right off the lot that bike is powerful I love the traction modes a and when we got on the highway my goodness I left all of the bikes including sport bikes I left everybody. That bike is fast and has a 300 plus full tank mileage. Omg I am on the hunt for one now in 2023 I need this bike it does everything well. I have one grip about the bike the seat got hot after riding about 40 minutes we were the last group ride so the guy took us all around for extra time from Yamaha. That seat got 🔥 I pray they fixed that in the newer models.

    i appreciate your in depth review. i own an 07 honda st 1300 and i have been thinking about this fjr a lot &. your review has helped me. i ride 54 miles one way to raleigh for work & really love riding versus driving, i think the fjr will be an upgrade over my st 1300

    Great video 👍, im on my 2nd Kawasaki Concours 1400, but they stopped making them, so im pretty sure my next bike will be an FJR, With a six speed though ...

    • @Bhroman
      @Bhroman  Рік тому

      Yeah both are some amazing bikes. The FJR will handle better than the big Concourse I think

    FJR1300 is not based on the R1, it evolved from the FJR1100. The engine is specific to the FJR line. 9:40

    I believe you need to correct one statement about wind protection on "sports tourers". That statement may be correct for the Yamaha but definitely not for ALL sports touring bikes. The BMW RT for example has amazing wind protection!!

    • @SaiRulez1
      @SaiRulez1 3 роки тому +4

      It’s all relative. I personally find the wind protection more than adequate for my needs on the FJR. Might be less than something like a Harley Ultra or Indian Roadmaster bit works for me

    I have a 2016 fjr 1300 and love it. But when I'm around 4k-5k rpms it is screaming for an upshift. Did you modify yours to get it high before red lining?

    • @Bhroman
      @Bhroman  Рік тому +2

      I dont think that there were any mods done to the bike. You just gotta keep pushing it.. it screams but that's what all performance bikes do

  • @juans3728
    @juans3728 2 роки тому +1

    You stated that the FJR1300 is not a beginners bike, is it inly because of the speed it produces or are there other hazardous things . I always thought that if a rider knows and understands the bike and respects the bike that would make the rider successful on it.

      This is not a beginner's or intermediate rider machine, it requires much more skill to handle. Unless you have over 250k miles of workup riding, don't consider this machine, she'll eat your dog 😉.

      the weight is what challenges people, i dare you to use a Honda Goldwing for city riding and parking😂

    People say the FJR1300 is top heavy at 650lb wet and it is a pain if dropped to pickup. The Honda Wet ST1100- 721lb, ST1300-730lb. people say it is nimble yet no one says it is heavy in any way. I am confused at what people say or should i just not listen to them. Peace.

      Ive had both and got rid of the St and now have a 2016 ES, love it ,the motor is far superior along with the handling.

    “It’s a light bike” hmmm .... looks like you’ve not owned it long enough to know how top heavy it is.

    • @SaiRulez1
      @SaiRulez1 3 роки тому +2

      I have owned it for quite some time now and feel it’s quite light. Not sure what you mean by top heavy as it’s obviously not a low, slammed to the ground cruiser
