Awesome stuff. Are you planning to release a future update with object/marker tracking? I think this would be a very desired feature even if it's not perfect. For instance when shooting objects for product shots. I'd love to automatically track my subjects but they are often wearing motorcycle helmets.
Hi Moni - I am a teacher and am looking for a system where my SONY Video camcorder (3D Handycam HDR-TD10) can track me and what I write on my whiteboard. It's hard to get someone to film me as each of my lectures can take a lot of time and it gets really boring for them. Since you've been able to compare different systems, I was wondering if you could help, as my students would really benefit from good quality presentations, and because of the pandemic, I can't do the recording at my workplace.
@@SanDiegoOceansideCA The two best options I have found are the Rhino Arc II and the insta360 cam. The Arc II tracks you in real time with face tracking. The insta360 records a full 360 degree sphere. After you have recorded you can use the app to enable tracking so the image will be centered on (with auto tracking) you before you save the final video.
@@MoniJohnson Thank you for your kind reply, Moni. I am not sure about how the face-tracking system will work when I am writing on the whiteboard and thus have my face turned away from the camera. I was thinking of setting a wider loop, but am also unsure whether that'll work. I haven't investigated about the insta360 cam. I will look into that as well as your feedback. Thanks again!
Would be good to know why the iOS app crashes when selecting tracking. Also what motor is in the dolly, and why the only option for motor location is left/right when the motor is in the middle with the dolly. And length, the app has 24/48” but the dolly is longer. So far really disappointing experience with the app and dolly. Don’t suppose there’s an API?
I have a question. What type of cable goes from the camera to the Arc II? Is it USB or HDMI? Also, if we already have both the USB and HDMI ports in use on the camera because other things are plugged in (e.g., a wireless transmitter to connect it to an iPad app for live shooting), would using a splitter cable for that port on the camera influence how the Arc II communicated with the camera? It might not matter but it's a nice Canon Camcorder.
Just curious but does the face tracking still work if we see only the side of the actors face? Do they have to be staring towards the camera with both eyes visible?
When I enter and connect the app it only shows half of my monitor screen. The other half is gray. I can only see 1 and a half of the grid on my iPhone 11. Any ideas???

Honestly, not having an APP is ideal. The syncing and desyncing experienced on other products made me VERY critical on future $1k plus rigs. Not sure about this one, but man. It's a lot of money. Who rents these things out?
Like Edelkrone, amazing solutions but I don’t want to use my phone on professional gig. Let me pay 3k for a dedicated stand alone interface/tracker tracker. We have 5G now. Lol. Then take all my money.

Face tracking works best if the facing the camera completely. If turning to the side the camera can lose track
