Absolutely love this .. this is by far one of the best episodes that you’ve made. Didn’t know much about Swany before this but he really is a top bloke 👌🏻
Vale legend, always had time for the fans and after listening to this chat i can't believe how well he played for us after some of those 'incidents'. Brilliant Swanny!
Had my first trip to Elland Road in 1985 from Norway. Remember Peter Swan from looking at the team from fullerton training ground. Also have a picture of Swan in my old scrapbook. Top man. Happy days.
I was on the non playing staff at Plymouth when Swan signed. All we knew about his situation was that his wife was pregnant and his dog died. Good to hear the other side of the story. And well done to standing up for yourself. Basically he was bullied. That would be classed as constructive dismissal these days and he got the better of Dan McCauley!
I saw Swanny out in Valentino's nightclub in Hanley years ago (early 90s I think), and being pissed decided to have a chat with him for a few minutes, and he was happy to indulge me. Top bloke 🍻
I can remember Peter Swan playing for Belle Isle Middle school when he scored around 5 goals against our team in around 1979. Knew he was going to make it then but never really did at Leeds United.
What a belter!!! So much to comment on!!! Optimumy of no do no go!! If anyone doesn't no what rothwell town football Is it's just the local club for the kids anyone can get in the team if you're able bodied 😅 and what a legend I don't want you boot Becks I'm a Leeds fan! My hero!! All my family won't own anything red my auntie is a teacher and won't even mark red pen 😂
Shook Swanny's hand on the Wembley pitch after his sending off. He was absolutely gutted & apologetic. None of my mates believed me untill he confirmed it years later. Top bloke, a true gentleman & a Vale legend.
89 -92 swanny was a cut above everyone we had at Hull, seen him bully the opposition and score some superb goals, ran through a brick wall whilst in black & Amber and never took a backward step doesn't get enough credit for how good he was, centre back or preferably centre forward the man had an air about him, also nowadays expert summariser for bbc radio humberside for all tigers games,he's absolutely brilliant
How funny…😂😂 Absolutely brilliant episode, weirdest thing is , a couple of days ago I was in a local charity shop and bought a signed copy of his autobiography ! Can’t wait to read it now…
Peter is an absolute top man! Amazing podcast. I was hooked until the end because of his storytelling. There's always two sides to every story but I feel that he was treated really badly by Plymouth - sounded like a horrendous culture and club. Well done, Pete 😊✅🤣
In the top 5 you've had on definitely with Kilgallon, Little, Eaden and Weaver! Probably missed a few other good ones as well, the ref was class as well Lynch I think he was called. Crossley as well!
Just over 20 years ago swanny came to my parents house in stone for a bbq, we had veggies living next door, and he was chucking burgers and sausages over the fence 😂😂😂.
Swanny . What a guy vale legend , childhood hero …Can’t understand why he had a harsh time at Plymouth .. the guy would run through brick walls for ya on the pitch . Very surprised .
It would be great if you could timestamp these episodes so we can see which specific parts of the video contains which anecdote. I'm always happy to watch the full episodes when I get the time, but sometimes it's best just to watch 5-10 minutes if I'm out and about.
Given the “Poltergeist” in Plymouth’s apparent disdain for Swanny’s Dog (and dog related paraphernalia), does anyone else think that move might’ve worked out better for Stan Ternent?
Anyone who hasn't read it,plz give his autobiography a read, confessions of a lower league legend, its a brilliant book one of those you won't put down till you've finished it
the main takeaway from this for me is that neil warnock, kevin blackwell, plymouth fc and the whole city of plymouth in the 94-95 season were a bunch of arseholes
Absolutely howling at Parky being called Butterbean😂😂😂
Absolutely love this .. this is by far one of the best episodes that you’ve made. Didn’t know much about Swany before this but he really is a top bloke 👌🏻
Vale legend, always had time for the fans and after listening to this chat i can't believe how well he played for us after some of those 'incidents'. Brilliant Swanny!

Better than having a dead wife and pregnant dog to be fair, always look on the bright side and all that
@@strictlycasual765Dead wife please! I've always preferred my dogs! They're much better conversation
Swanny and the dog. Excellent . thank you for sharing your career.
Love the honesty about his time at Plymouth. Refreshing in an odd way
That was one of the best yet 🤣🤣👏

I saw Swanny out in Valentino's nightclub in Hanley years ago (early 90s I think), and being pissed decided to have a chat with him for a few minutes, and he was happy to indulge me. Top bloke 🍻

Just found your channel, as a Burnley fan this interview was pure gold.
I can remember Peter Swan playing for Belle Isle Middle school when he scored around 5 goals against our team in around 1979. Knew he was going to make it then but never really did at Leeds United.

Best one for a while. Came across as a top bloke, loved the dog too, shocking how he was treat at Plymouth.
Best episode ever
Butterbean is absolute fantastic …. Taken little Chrissy a while to give it back but he’s started more recently 😂😂😂😂
Best one for a while.

I remember Peter Swan very well, absolute no nonsense centre-half, you certainly knew you were in a game if he'd been marking you!

Best series yet IMO 👍
Agreed it's brilliant
The range of guests from different playing eras has been spot on
0:39 who's waking out the room means who is left standing at the end, not who will bugger off first
Even though I'm a Stoke fan that was the best one so far, what a character.......oh and he was a right dirty git on the pitch too lol
Just a great episode.
Chewing that hat man 😂😂😂😂😂😂
11:00 podcast starts ✌️
Best ever! Absolutely pissed myself all the way through
Just over 20 years ago swanny came to my parents house in stone for a bbq, we had veggies living next door, and he was chucking burgers and sausages over the fence 😂😂😂.

Top class episode this one. One of my favourites. Would love to sit and have a pint with him, great story teller
Absolutely top drawer
What a great interview. Such a shame that Plymouth and the players didn’t see what a character he was/is. More fool them, fantastic stories.
The dog 😂😂😂😂😂😂

Well liked at Hull City, top bloke
Proper decent episode
It would be great if you could timestamp these episodes so we can see which specific parts of the video contains which anecdote. I'm always happy to watch the full episodes when I get the time, but sometimes it's best just to watch 5-10 minutes if I'm out and about.
Good shout to be fair
Sheridan was a fine player, i seem to remember him breaking his leg at oakwell not sure of year though.
Zeus was the star of the show. 🙌🏼
Shame there's no footage of that pre season game sounds like comedy gold
Given the “Poltergeist” in Plymouth’s apparent disdain for Swanny’s Dog (and dog related paraphernalia), does anyone else think that move might’ve worked out better for Stan Ternent?
Some great story’s in this one. Zeus is a hero. Not sure him and payton outscored West Ham considering they score more than Hull did that season.
What a Top Video Peter swan your a Legend 😂
Omg what a legend, his stories had me in tears rofl, mix Gazze on roids with a "don't care what anyone thinks" attitude and this is what you get pmsl
what a great episode thats up there with the best even though he was ex vale
35:00 🤣
Anyone who hasn't read it,plz give his autobiography a read, confessions of a lower league legend, its a brilliant book one of those you won't put down till you've finished it
the main takeaway from this for me is that neil warnock, kevin blackwell, plymouth fc and the whole city of plymouth in the 94-95 season were a bunch of arseholes
