Beast was beasted.
As a Preston fan, he actually did some good. Did a good hatchet job getting rid of some lazy dross and brought in some massive characters like Paul Huntington and Laird. He just didn't seem to have enough footballing knowledge to get a side working. He also destroyed the pitch by insisting on training in a 'real game situation' all day 😂
The Flee story is next level genius 😂😂😂 I'm not joking, I would have loved to play for him. I bet it was epic 😂😂😂😂😂
This bloke has really done himself a service with this interview! Top banter and a really intelligent bloke. Sometimes it might be a good idea to take some of these players’ stories with a pinch of salt. They’re not all the brightest after all.

Played under him at Rushden for about 4 months, was told before he arrived to look for another club because he won’t be having me, turned up and told me I was his number 1 first day. Some crazy moments but he was great to play for and did well for me after he left too. Did play 1 game at home to Cambridge 3-0 up and last minute I got smashed in the last minute with the ball in my hands and knocked me over the line, he absolutely hammered me after that haha! Next day I got a 0 in his rating and his 3 words to describe my performance were WEAK AS PISS 🙈

Loves himself. So many strange story’s do the rounds regarding him but everyone of them strangely enough has been taken out of context! Funny that!! Also didn’t want to get involved with the question on Farnborough as he knows too well he did the club dirty and took half the team to Stevenage with him straight after Arsenal.

Very fond of himself this lad. Not that there's anything wrong with that, but got to be seen through that lens. Love how every negative story is taken out of context too.
Always worth watching all the way to the end to then make a decision on someone. Westley clearly has valuable business and leadership experience that you can only respect and learn from within the game. Must be so hard managing egos back in the day and cutting budgets etc and you can see he can do that well to then build a team. Wether you like him or not you can only respect that! Think alot of young managers can learn alot from him and think he'd be good to have round a club these days within non league system etc mentoring for example. Another great episode 👏

All this criticism of Westy, seems overblown. He displays an insight into human psychology (fleas analogy,) and motivational theories (texting communication) applied to football management was pioneering - behavioural insights! Known as 'Nudge Theory' today. Many struggling teams could do worse than employ him. I guess Parky was quiet because he had a seething bitterness towards Westley (excessive training programme at PNE) and didn't wish to engage, question or confront him with personal grievances when, he had the opportunity to do so.

Every time I thought he seemed able to laugh at his own reputation and not take himself too seriously, he'd say something like 'Tony Adams' or 'I'm not just making them better players, I'm making them better human beings' without a trace of self-awareness!

The medal winner story isn’t accurate. It was his first meeting, before a game which occurred after he had taken the job but he wasn’t taking charge of that game. Players lounge. About 1pm. Loving the pod so far though!
What is accurate but is a clown sitting on his phone on top of a programme. You wouldn't wear that yourself. Jock Stein, Alex Ferguson, and the old managers would have had him out the door pronto.

Just goes to show, never believe everything you read about someone without knowing the other side. I thought Westley was a tit, but he’s not, he works hard and expects everyone else to follow suit, if you don’t you’re on your way.
