    You must spray hair with conditioner and water. Use your hands first to detangle… then comb. You can not rush through 4 c hair

      Agree. I always use my fingers to first detangle my hair and apply a little leave-in conditioner.

      I've noticed your videos are shorter still with great information . I like them more. I guess since your a mother of a beautiful new baby and still running a profitable business and you're still film yourself...that takes time. But I like it edited and shorter versions. Informative! Great job. Take care

    My hair is also long 4c low porosity and high density. I would like to add for the ladies that are looking to this video for tips.. a lot of the things mentioned are good for occasions not daily.
    1. Keep hair stretched basically at all times, do wash and goes sparingly. ...Doesn't need to be blow dried but for example I moisturize my hair with a low porosity friendly leave in, when it's wet, seal the ENDS ONLY with A HEAVY butter, ( which prevents single strand knots and splits) and put the hair in braids with twists at the end. I will never allow a braid out to shrink up.
    2. Do not brush hair daily. This is insane, if ur hair is stretched, it shouldn't tangle.
    Detangle with a high slip conditioner before you shampoo. Sometimes that means they will have silicone. So be it...
    Deep condition with heat and never rinse with cold water as leave in won't penetrate after. I also avoid proteins in my products as they definitely cause more single strand knots to form in my low porosity hair and don't add much benefits.

      I think she means to comb or brush it into a style if it is loose so it remains stretched. Some naturals like to wear puffs and wash and go's all the time without stretching the hair. My hair likes to tangle so even for me finger combing is detangling if i wear my hair loose but for 75% of the time my hair is twisted or braided up.

    • @mettamorph4523
      @mettamorph4523 8 місяців тому +2

      4c cannot wash and go successfully. If 4c hair isn't tamed in some sort of twist, it tangles on itself.
      I try to only use a comb once a year. I'm 4c. I finger detangle. When diligent I detangle every 4 days. But when life gets in the way I've gone 6 weeks with a twist style and paid for it with massive shedding. However being natural and using my fingers did give me growth I never thought I'd have, but for me that was going from top of ear length to shoulder length. My hair is fine and thin, but looks good when pressed. I'm so tired of not having pretty hair, always wearing a headband or beret because my twists aren't attractive. I'm thinking of getting a relaxer and treating it gently, cool drying, wearing curlers. Maybe I can hang on to my length.

    While this type hair has its challenges when it is healthy it styles the best ; Bob, Barrel curls, spiral curls… It’s density and texture is like no other.

  • @avengeverses

    My hair is exactly like her's. Coarse, resistant strands, extremely low porosity, dense 4c hair. So resistant that a super relaxer didn't even phase my curl pattern after 35 minutes during a patch test. I had to literally use the blow dryer's heat to get the cuticle to open during the relaxer for it to straighten. Too much work to replicate on my actual head of hair, so i am now opting to become a straight natural instead.

    • @mettamorph4523

      That’s what I’m considering. How long does it last?

    • @avengeverses
      @avengeverses 8 місяців тому +8

      @@taylorl366 it depends on the condition of your own hair. Each silk press i get comes with a deep conditioning treatment. The more you do them, the longer it should last before reverting. My 1st silk press poofed up within 2 hours. When i say poof i mean not bone straight anymore, but still very soft and fluffy. My second one went 2 days before poofing. Now i'm on my fourth one in a row and it took a week to slightly poof, but it's still "straight" 2 weeks later. I pin curl it every night to keep the spiral curls smooth longer. Once it poofs more than i'd like, i just pull it into a ponytail and that keeps it straight for me. They usually last me until the next wash. Now if i start sweating, my roots start having a family reunion immediately.

    Hello for London Uk , white lady with wavy hair , so not Crystals typical client and I'm also not a hairdresser . I love these videos , I love seeing all the clients , all their wonderful hair and the amazing transformations . I especially like the videos when a client comes in with a medical problem and walks out of the salon looking a million dollars .... I have learnt a lot too and quite often get the question of the day correct 😊.
    Happy Thanksgiving I hope that you have all had a wonderful happy thankful day . X x 🇬🇧 🇺🇸

    Nice result.
    My hair is short, sparse density 4c. I have concluded that nothing works on my hair. The only product I now use is a medicated shampoo for my seborrheic dermatitis to wash twice weekly. However, just for the experience, I would like to have my hair professionally silk pressed, and without added products. I don’t know if that is even an option.🤔

    DK, anything bout 4c, density, porosity or anything else used to make describing hair so technical, so whatever to that... I am GRATEFUL to having hair that grows regardless to what I do or don't do to it, use or don't use. 2 things I use faithfully are a brush & hair grease or just plain vasline. The brush, I've had for about 20 yrs that makes getting kinks & tangles so easy also smoothing for lay down styles, no problem.the grease is a MUST !!! Just think all the technical talk is crap

    • @marleyhill34

      So many of us want to believe "products" will get us the hair we desire, when it's really the genes we are dealt that dictate hair quality. That's all it is.

    Great work as always. I have high porosity hair i think due to being a Thalessemia carrier and susceptible to oxidative stress and medication. I say my hair is 4c because the pattern is so tight it doesn't resemble 4a or 4b. It does definitely form a coil but it's the size of a tiny pen spring. My specific hair type is rare to see on social media because i think it makes most people with it susceptible to hair loss. I've figured out how to keep most of mine at age 42 but it is a struggle and i can only imagine menopause taking sone more strands and miniaturising more follicles but for now I'll enjoy it while i still have it
