I think so, too! I've always been a huge fan of the OEM+ look. What exactly do you mean by 'lateral mod,' though? Never heard that term before.

@@MotoRevs That is what I call Mod that I wouldnt consider an Upgrade. You went from OEM to OEM that are fairly similar. I like both wheels, but I dont like one over the other. "Lateral" aka, Not an Upgrade or Downgrade.

Ahhh ok ok. I understand! I like it mainly cause of the color, weight, and design. It's also very straightforward as opposed to finding aftermarket wheels with the right offset, diameter, bub, width, bolt pattern, etc. OEM is easiest! Maybe I'll switch it up in the future...

We tapped the red cable coming off of the video cable from the camera to the cable named "Reverse Camera" or something on the MMI Pro harness. That's all, it was pretty easy, and it worked!

@ I meant from the tail light cable.

Oh, well I haven't made a video reviewing them yet, but I installed aftermarket tail lights. On those, we tapped into the blue reverse light cable. I'm not sure about on the stock lights, but I'm confident your camera may have brought instructions to help you out with that. I'm afraid I can't be the solution to your question.

Depending on the state, it may be an issue. In Texas, at least, we don't do smog testing or anything more than pretty much face-value checks. As long as it doesn't have a check engine light, it'll pass. Check your state and local laws, though!

@ but what did you do not to have a check engine with the Catless DP.

I have an MHD Stage 2 tune. With the MHD tuning software, you can choose the option to remove the Check Engine Light with a catless downpipe.

Honestly, yes. I spray painted them blue the first time around, and after experiencing the mess, the headache, the setup, the process, the wait, and all the problems of spray painting, this is BY FAR superior. It's easier, no mess, little preparation, and quick drying.

I removed the screen only to connect the video cables around the back. It was very tight, so I removed it for more clearance. I don't actually remember if I connected any cables to the actual screen, I believe not. I think everything was from the MMI unit to the back of the headunit. I would definitely check with BimmerTech, they have great customer support, and could definitely help you out better than I could.

@@MotoRevs Thanks! Was able to install it successfully last week. For the Mini CIC system with the center console iDrive joystick (between the seats) I didn't have to remove the screen fixture at all. Only needed access to the back of the stereo head unit and the iDrive joystick. Definitely cumbersome taking the dash apart but doable if you are a somewhat adventurous DIY'er . And yes BimmerTech was very helpful. Thanks for the video...definitely helped! Cheers!

Honestly, no real reason. I've always gotten K&N for my cars and bikes, but I wanted to try something different for the fastest car I've had (so far). I've heard a lot of good things about Eventuri, so I decided I've give it a shot.

Well, MHD says that the PWG N55 gets up to 350 HP with the stage 1 tune and 365 with the stage 2 tune. They've been dynoed, but each car may have slightly different results.

I've gotten that before. The thing is - if I have a vision, and want to chase it, no amount of work gets between me. I wanted colored seat belts since my previous car, my Volvo C30, and I had to have them in this car. It was a lot of work, but because of that, no one follows behind that much work - so I am unique in that aspect; my car, that is. The amount of compliments, looks, pictures that I get is astonishing. People appreciate it, they appreciate the work behind it, and they appreciate how unique these are on this car. That is why I did it - to be different, to have something I can call my own, and to make this car my swan-song. I don't care how much work it takes, this car will be my best work so far. I appreciate the comment!

No, not at all! For example, MHD has an option to go stage 1 and an individual option to choose between factory or aftermarket downpipe(s). It adjusts the tune accordingly. You don't need a downpipe, but it sure helps get way more power (and sound!).

Hey! This is actually from an RC390! If you buy the belly pan assembly, it brings all the necessary brackets to mount it. You may have to bend one bracket very slightly, but other than that, it's totally a breeze to retrofit it.

I believe the European bikes have always had way more soul and character than the Japanese ones. Bar for bar, the European bikes just feel better made, more well put together, and lively. The Japanese bikes just feel like they were cut and pasted out of the factory. That's my 2 cents!

No amount of rain that can enter through the filter would be enough to damage the engine or anything - unless, of course, you purposely try pressure washing straight at it for minutes on end. But, in rain, heavy or light, Dan from BimmerHaus says there should be no problem at all. If you are concerned, you can always use the included filter sock for peace of mind.
