Philippines already have a K12 education system... Kinder to grade 6, 4 years in junior high and 2 years in senior high... Finally 4 years in College...

Because West Philippine Sea is a center of trade route in Southeast and East Asia. That's why China wanted to take control of it.
the west Philippine sea still has abundant resources that haven't been attained by the Philippines because of lack of proper technology so China, being a high-tech country, desires those resources for their own use. another factor would be the islands that are great for navy and military purposes. hope this helps!

Filipinos now do go to school from ages 5 to 18 for the new and compulsory enhanced basic education (started to be implemented around 2012 to 2013 and then being fully implemented around 2017 to 2018), then at least 4-5 or even up to 6 years of non-compulsory higher education for undergraduate/ baccalaureate/ bachelor's degree in colleges and universities, and even continuing to further non-compulsory higher education for graduate/master's/masteral degree, and then post-graduate/ doctor's/ doctorate/ doctoral degree, etc.
The new and compulsory enhanced basic education begins at the age of 5 for Kindergarten or Pre-School, and this even excludes non-compulsory daycare education, nursery education, and other pre-school education levels for the ages 3-4 or 3-5.
The moment a Filipino kid reaches around 5-6 or 7 years old, the kid will enter Grade 1 or 1st Grade and begin her or his elementary education. Elementary education is sometimes called as Primary education and it is sometimes sub-divided into Primary level (Levels/Grades 1-3) and Intermediate level (Levels/Grades 4-6).
After graduating from elementary level/education/school, the kid will begin her or his secondary education. Secondary education is the final and last stage of the new and compulsory enhanced basic education system. It is further sub-divided into Junior High School (Levels/Grades 7-10) and Senior High School (Levels/Grades 11-12), or the exploratory junior secondary education and then the specialized/preparatory senior secondary education.
There are more details about these, but they are too many and too detailed to mention, so I just mentioned the overview.

For lumpia it's not only mixed of pork or chicken.. We also have lumpia mixed with muscles and clams with spices..
The video said the Ph has 6-4-4 education system but actually, It's actually 6-6-4 because few tears ago (5+ years maybe) 2 years had been added to prepare highschoolers in college. So technically, highschool has 2 parts, the first 4 years is the "ordinary" high school and the next 2 years is where we are trained on a specific field that we personally chose for our first step in college. And then after that is the real college.
Ph Education System :
Nusery
Elementary school - 6 y
Middle school (Junior)- 4 years
Middle School (Senior)- 2 y
College - depends on your course
In nursery, I was taught to make basic shapes and lines (I was able to jump to elementary because I already know how to spell words) and then when I was a first grader, we were aleady taking English classes and now that I am a senior highschool student, most of my subjects uses Englsih, and at presentations, we uses English (We only have one Filipino Subject left)
But that education system is changed and the first grader now are having Mother togue subjects to preserve our language until their thirs year in elementary . S

Not 6-4-4 anymore, I think 4 or 5 years ago it's already 6-6 and college or university depends on the course, some courses are 4yrs, others are 5 years while Law course one needs to take 4yrs course which is preperatory to Law, so it'll take 8yrs same as Medicine course.

Philippines has now changed the education system to be at par with international standards. This is called the K12 curriculum. Kindergarten is now a compulsory to get accepted to grade school. There is basically 12 years of basic education (six years of primary education, four years of Junior High School, and two years of Senior High School). Yes, English is the language used in teaching some subjects not just the English subject.
