OFWs are considered as exports for me though in humans as they earn money abroad and send them back home to their families and for investments. Just like products sold abroad for the origin country to make money, these OFWs are sending their hard earned money back to the Philippines regularly, if not monthly. This phenomenon has helped the Philippines economically for decades since Filipino nurses started working in the US in the 1960s, then other professional and technical workers followed in other countries as well.

WELL SAID. CORRECT.. and that goes all.over the philippines.. OFW send money.. this drives consumerism. No wonder Sm malls. citi malls. puregold..jollibee.mcdo are Expanding in the PROVINCES because most ofw are from rural areas or provinces.. and when they send money example 15thou a month this money is spend by their families... driving consumption higher.. malls are favorite places to visit among young people
That’s why OFW’s should be treated nicely and fairly by people in the government like Bureau of Immigration and not become the victims of their corrupt practices.
@@jose.ph.usbcruz7708 Alam mo naman, sa Pinas, they don’t screen their job applicants on many aspects including attitudes and good manners. It’s up to who you know or palakasan system, kaya maraming siga at mga bastos na nasa mga government offices.
Domestic helper is considered modern slave 😢 we import helper sad but reality we're poor nation because of rampant corruption in the Government.

By the way, the foreign reserves is basically a dollars that Philippines have. Its for trading purposes of Philippines to any countries in the world. If you use dollars for trading than your own currency its unlikely to have a huge problem paying in dollars to other countries. You will not be affective by the currency rates in a huge amount because you use dollars for trading. You will not lost a lot of dollars reserves. Philippines are grateful for the ofws because they are the big source of dollars coming in to our reserves by sending money from other country to Philippines. I hope that helps you somehow 😊

It's actually based on the demand and supply, even though we don't have that much products that we export, we're providing the following services that helps the countries economy, like BPO industry, where I'm a part of, and the other opportunity for greener pasture is when Filipinos goes to abroad and works as OFW, it may be a White or Blue Collar Jobs, as long as we can provide our family a brighter future. Their monthly remittances helps a lot on saving the dollar reserves, but still we would need to achieve our goals to be able to export our products to the world either semi conductors, food and beverages, and also our native products per each region. It's a long shot but with the resilience of each one of us. We Filipinos always find a way to stand up and smile amidst any adversities, may it be disaster, economic crisis, and Covid19 Pandemic. 🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰
