In this quiet long video, I will show you guys a fully modified TRAXXAS XRT 8s custom build. This truck was built for a friend out of Texas and he really wanted something beefy and fast. So we added every last piece we could fit on the truck. Using #pnwrcmadness upgrades #gpmracing upgrades and #treal 7075 aluminum upgrades, we turned this stock XRT into a 33 pound #HULK size rc car basher.
I forgot the motor and esc combo in the video. I ended up going with the #hobbywing Max5 g2 and the Hobbywing 5690 1250kv brushless motor.
I used the Pnwrcmadness black HD mount and a green pnwrcmadness esc caddy. Also a first for me using wire loom. What a pain in the butt that is.

No way these are great mods that'll make this thing near bulletproof. 7075 is a damn strong aluminum. Shelf queens are all 6061 (and most people throw aluminum suspension arms that'll bend on the shelf queens). It certainly does look clean in the vid, but I'm sure Chris is going to send it when he gets a chance

When i put the gpm diff gear in and put together, it blocked turning by the bevel gear...,so it was the Opposite case that you have when you need shims, u know...maybe i had get it done with some side shimms at the place were the bearings of the diff sits but i did it together then with the Stock diff gears. Dont know why, i had the vitavon Cover, the vitavon upper bulkhead and also the gpm bellcrank and the thing what Comes on tp at the bellcrank, gpm too. Maybe i dont have to Mix vitavon and gpm lol, that was unpro😂

Hey man, im doing an XRT build inspired on your build here. I want to try your belt drive and motor mount as well. Can you tell me what gearing you suggest? What was the gearing you put in this video vs what have you had the most success with (Fast and bash)? Also, what motor mount size for the 1100kv HW G2? 25mm or 30mm? Just having a little trouble confirming numbers before I order. Thx my man!

using 20/30 belt drive both 8mm bore. I also now have an 8mm HD spur shaft i offer on my site

Kindly is the esc a Max5 g2 Combo with the 5690 1250kv g2 motor because I am interested in purchasing one for my Limitless to do some drag racing with it and I do not know how it performs on a 1/7 scale that weights around 7kg inclusive of two batteries!

Wow. This is an insane build!!! Love it!! I have an xrt ultimate. I don’t really bash. I like driving it fast and doing small jumps. What motor upgrades do you recommend? I’m stock. I just want to go faster.
The 1,6 mod diff gear?? Im sure i have them in 1,5, the 1,6 was vitavon, are the 1,6 gpm New?? Theyre seem be else

How much did all this ACTUALLY cost? LOL Also, I didn't really get a good look at the front. When adding the belt drive, did this truck become rear wheel drive only? It looked to me like the center mounted motor would keep if from being 4WD. If it is 2WD are there any improvements made to the speed and handling? I personally tend to prefer 4WD handling, but others might disagree.

Bad ass rig. What fan is on the motor and how did you connect it ? I looked on your website but didn’t see it. I have the Max5 & 5690. Not done yet. Were you not able to plug fan into port on ESC where the OTA would go or do you use a splitter and connect it along with the ESC fan ? Thanks.

That gpm center shaft don't fit xrt....that chassis don't even look the same...its shallower than xrt and the white block don't fit

I believe it's 1/4". The first time I got the wrong stuff. I'll have to look a the package to verify

Everything is sweet except those battery trays bolt heads sticking out the bottom like that will catch on everything when bash hard and do more damage the good better off to jb weld or epoxy the trays in
Thank you! Never had an issue though with them and I've sold a couple hundred sets and been using them myself now about 5 years. They do get dinged up though like the suspension part nuts do. But all in all not a complaint. If that were the case I just wouldn't sell them. I appreciate the feedback for sure 👍

GPM make good parts now?
Yes sir! All the new stuff coming out is all 7075 aluminum. They have all new engineers and have completely redesigned all the new stuff. They are all super nice. I'd never recommend a bad product. I thank you for tuning in as well🤙🏼🤙🏼

Of it matters I have a vitavon upper bulkhead cover seems like the prongs are a bit too big to fit tho
Because you paired it with a vitavon. It fits the stock XRT just as the description says.
