it's late at night,i'm trying to get compliance bushings in a honda pilot, this made my day. i took an old scissor jack and cut the bolt and ends out. i had the bushing installed in two minutes. THANK YOU SO MUCH!
great idea, I'm going to try it ,I have at least 2 of the old scissor jacks that I was going to thrown in the trash , now I just might have some use for them thanks for the idea
Great Video!! I’m off to a salvage yard to scope out an old scissor jack to be able to make this. Just in time to replace and install Energy Suspension Polyurethane bushings in my 14 year old Honda. Thanks TonyMahlony.
The key to success here is the threaded bar with deeper thread Ive also used old sash clap tread that's deeper and lighter work to use 💪 basic fine thread bar is a game if even possible 😥
Just some thought here.....a "bush" is another name for a "shrub". It looks like your installing a "bushing" Other than that its a great idea and a great video.
Good idea, unfortunately my scissor Jack collapsed and bent while finding the problem. Stock accessory rated 4000lb, for a car that weighs over 4100 wet and loaded. 🤬
The kits are called from suppliers but why pull a buggerd bush I use heat, hammer and chisel if there's rubber in the centre I use a hole saw to cut it out before using heat

I cant fathom why people disliked this, its a fucking good piece of info, and a great idea. I love proper diy solutions to things.

Did you get anywhere with this?
Nice tool. Thanks for the great discriptive video.
great idea, will be using this on bmw E46 subframe bushes. just need to find some decent pipe!
Absolutely brilliant , would it remove track control arm bushes as well?
It will remove most "stuck" bushings
what a cracking idea i shall use this in the future
or do what i do use a air hammer with a spike bushes ain't go a chance but it's a good use of a jack that would not use on a landy in any other way
thats a bloody good idea, top job m8
Very smart! Gonna see if I can do this today, thanks!
Was the handle part of the original jack?
sweet I love home made tools, and Bob IS my uncle ha ha
Awesome idea! Gonna do this today!!!!! :)
Good luck, and let me know how you get-on, Tony
Nice idea mate ...thx from south africa
+Elvira Kokkolis Thank you - You can see it in action here: ua-cam.com/video/uN6YQT8UV_k/v-deo.html
The jack which the puller was made from has an attached handle
very excellent!
You, my friend, are a fucking genius! Top stuff. I'm going to build one right now.

Vids like this make up for all the wretched shite posted on the interweb... Solid intell.. Thanks for the upload..
If you look at this video's description you'll see a link to another video which shows the puller in action

Excelente idea, justo estaba en busca de un tornillo de esas caracteristicas para fabricar el mecanismo de montaje y desmontaje de baleros y bujes
Thanks for this. Hope you find a jack which will do the job :-)
Use what you have if you can not purchase the proper tools. Good thinking!
Great idea!!!!
Travisfromoregon
Great bit of improvisation, looks like 4 people either paid £250 to get their bushes changed or spent 6 hours knocking them out with a lump hammer!
Is that a Lotus Eclat your next to?
+MrPabsUk Afraid not :-)
Clever! If you want more subs, feel free to embed your video on our homemade tools forum; looks like you're one of us :-)
And If I Knew how to do this I'd do it right now! :-)
Thanks Jose . . . but why spend money when there's an old jack lying-around doing nothing? Now you know just how peny-pinching I am :-)
Good luck - hope it works for you :-)

That's a very good reason to turn it into a bushing puller :)
@@TonyMahlony but it's bent...
@@SGobuck I have a big hammer for that kind of problem :)
Good idea but wish you'd shown it doing one
Here you go: ua-cam.com/video/uN6YQT8UV_k/v-deo.html :-)

How To & Style!
Whatt a nice idea
Oh I thought you were going to pull a bush [shrub] out. lol. I do like that idea though, to pull a bushing out.
I thought so to. Funny how this video came out when I was looking up bush removal.
oh yeah
The kits are called from suppliers but why pull a buggerd bush I use heat, hammer and chisel if there's rubber in the centre I use a hole saw to cut it out before using heat
Doing that way is much more physical work than using a 'puller'
Nice
Thanks
