The exhaust note is more pronounced on Sports mode while Sports plus mode tones it down to make it bit more efficient on the track. So if you have PSE you need to be on Sports mode to appreciate the louder tone and the burbles.
Review even better than the glasses! 992 is an awesome car, but it's definitely sad that it's priced so high (even the base model)! Love the tach! Love that the climate control stops at 69°! I'd definitely heat and cool my ass at the same time because I CAN. I kinda miss 911s as raw volkswagens!
Good review, answering the question regarding the design, a 911 should stay like that. First of all it is a 911 and they always look like that, second of all we need a classic sport car on the road, otherwise we will see only straight futuristic lines. I personally like it and i respect them, they keep the tradition alive, the quality and the fact that it is a modern classic.
I happen to agree. I like the timeless design and find it to be fascinating that it's the only carmaker who has stuck with a look for 80 years. But I also see the argument from the other side who say it's un-innovative.
GREAT VID FOR NEW TO PORSCHE CARS CUSTOMERS U WERE VERY COMPREHENSIVE AND PRACTICAL DOWN TO EARTH EXPLANATION ESPECIALY THE XTRAS AND WETHER NEED EM OR NOT EXCELLENT,THX 4THAT
I feel like for a car that's been out for a few years you would research it then review? I've been watching every video and some of your points are valid. The setup process is like an hour to go over everything. However the start stop is disabled in sport + and the wing opens when it needs to. But yes if for some reason while drving you want to open it then you have to go to the menu. The outer gauges. I don't know what they were thinking
The fact that you can recognise a 911 in the blink of an eye is one of the reasons of its success. Thank God the shape - or let’s say its silhouette - doesn’t change and is part of the DNA of a 911. A formula which musn’t change. The car is so balanced. On the following point, I disagree with you : putting the PDK in Sport and manual mode is a thrill when you drive on twisties and mountain roads and passes. The automatic mode is fine for city and highway communiting, but doesn’t involve you as a driver. In manual mode you control the car, decide when and where you change gear. This is my humble opinion. You are entitled to yours !
I think Porsche is the only manufacturer that actually does this well... Sure, I fancy myself the best driver in the world but do I know the optimal gear to be in at every moment more than a the billion dollar R&D budget they have for PDK? Probably not.
I use to trash the Porsche for looking the same decade after decade. Now that I’m older. I want a Porsche for that very reason! It never changed! It’s perfection, this car will look the same in the year 2100AD as a overcar. Meanwhile Honda civics which I owned a lot, change all the time. So yea, never change.
First of all, awesome car to drive around, fantastic around corners and it’s so satisfying, must go corners, straight line is cool but so boring compared to corners, lots of disappointment on the public street because of courtesy and speed limit(you unleash it, your neighbor dead of the noise. You wake up your child. And you attract the police) Let me give my negative experiences on this car: 1 not comfortable at all, rough and raw and tough. I feel 10x more relaxed in my Tesla. 2 software is so shitty. Including functions onboard. You can’t even keyless entry until the 2022 make. And you can’t hold key to lock the window - even my golf R can do that! 2.1 the Start/Stop will default to ON every time the car restarts, super annoying. 2.2 the “comfort access” which moves my seat whenever I turn on/off the ignition can be disabled, but comes back after awhile. 3 the seat kills my lower back after a long sitting. Need extra pillow support there (this is quite personal and per car) 4 Throttle is really heavy compared to my other cars: bmw, golf r, Tesla, Mustang. If I don’t punch it, the car doesn’t want to go.
@@TheSpeedyGuidy yeah was on the fence...thought I give a Chalk a try. I also have the model designation on the door in red to match the break calipers...
bene, la San Pellegrino ci sta, SIAMO SALVI...!!! jokes aside, great review, can't wait to leave 958 for a 992, it's becoming an obsession ... !!! CIAO !!!👍
It's a TT car. The 991 were naturally aspirated. Porsche didnt go TT till the 992 i believe. So the 991 911's will sound better If the sound of the engine/exhaust matters sget the 992 GT3 Touriing. Costs a little more but...heh....However if this sound is "good enough" for what will be a daily-driver get the Carrera S...gives you that Porsche experience without the unnecessary in the other models... I heard Porsche is planning to put out a NA 911 priced near the Carrera S....hope they DO
Actually, teh 991.2 is Turbocharged. 991.1 is NA but actually doesn't go as good as the .2 thanks to turbochargers. This engine is massively more powerful and has tons of low end grunt but doesn't have the 991's fruity sound.
they have everything hidden in the screen you have to find it its so annoying true way cant they just have a button for that...... If i have to find it in the screen thats making me take my eyes of the road .....
Why the left hand watch on the right hand? Nonetheless nice watch but Panerai does make a right hand watch. Also the S is not a base model. Theres the base which has less hp than the T and then the S followed by the s4. Price difference of like 30k😅 and git my S rwd to do 3.1 with the right tires.
@@Jdhehdkxi funny enough, my dad is left handed so I always began wearing my watch on the right because of him - despite being right handed myself - and I just never switched. More comfy to wear a left watch on the right anyways ;)
sorry, but your few followers probably don't own a 911 - that's why they follow you. Though, your Italien is actually very good. I'm referring to your statement about the PCM. You can configure the PCM to your likings.
Thank you for the compliment on my Italiano :) ...And yes, after I filmed the video I finally figured out how to set the Individual but it is worth noting that it's not very straight forward and not as configurable as you may think. There are only options for suspension, exhaust, and the auto start/stop.
if you're going to tell people off about "Porssh" then you might also want to start nagging people about brands such as "VW" and "Adidas", neither of which are the correct German pronunciations either
Speedy knows his cars and please send him more cars to review 🤩🙏🏼🔥🏎

Wow--interesting. Ya learn something new everyday!
Sports + spools the turbos also.
A must have sport car at all men’s garage. The look does not needs to be changed drastically if classic look acceptable in modern days
I like that the basic styling remains unchanged
over the years. I love my 2022 Carrera S.
It’s hard to believe it’s only the 8th generation.
For start stop, just configure your individual setting to keep it off and spin the dial to individual when you jump in the car

The 911 body is perfect
Informative and entertaining review!
Appreciate it! Feel free to reach out on IG for any more questions.
Leave traction control on for launch control. Hold brake+mash throttle is all you need to do 👌🏼
I got the same silver c2s. Loving it. So much grip.
Tire too wide, more expensive to mess aroundz
Great video.
Yeh I already scratched the front lip several times. The US road is crazy(-ly bad).

I really appreciate that! Tough to get cars and allocate time but hey, here’s to more!
What Northern California Coast did you do this review at?
Monterey! The last shots were filmed at Spanish Bay.
@@TheSpeedyGuidy Thanks!!!!
I think everything nice in 992.. but one thing… the allocation is so bad it takes much time 🤦🏻♂️
It's a seriously stupid predicament right now. But other manufacturers have the same problem too (hint hint Ferrari)

Can't wait to pick mine up in July, Carrera S in Calk w Bordeaux Red Interior 😊
Red interior is great! Shudda gone with silver or a dark blue paint (in my humble opinion) :)

Did you have RAS?
explain.
@@TheSpeedyGuidy rear axle steering on your C2S?
@@S777H Yes, I believe all 992s have "RAS" but if they don't, this model had the Sport Chrono pack which certainly adds it. It is very subtle.
Another brilliant review, he’s done it again. Shoutout to Burger King, sorry Subway
haha! this guy has the real BTS!!!
Thanks for always supporting bud! Maybe i'll feature you in the next!
What’s with the twitchy steering when doing the 0-60?
Because he turned off traction control first. That is not required, and in my opinion is a very bad idea to do. Great video otherwise though!
Turn the music down so we can hear the engine
Great video, better sunglasses

Classic looks, ageless, much better than any Italian, over the top exotic, out of style in a few years.
I’m educated now
GRANDE PORSCHE 👍 🇮🇹 👍 🔝🔝🔝
2S? Or is it just called the Carrera S?
the model is a Carrera S, but car enthusiasts (or Porsche Nerds, rather) know the 2-Wheel drive models as 2 and 2S.
Technically it’s a C2S.
FIRE!!!!!
The style of the 911 is classic and it is still very desirable so why fix something that isn't broken
They’re about to!
the base model here in Greece starts from 167.000€…😅
If you breathe on an options box on the Porsche configurator, the price jumps $50,000.
