Hey guys, NEW video! What a way to feature a Porsche for the first time on the channel.. than with 'A 911' in Racing Yellow! The latest gen 911 Carrera has been out for a number of years now and I didn't want to just bring an another review. So in this video ill touch on the main highlights of what makes the 911 one of the best sports car in the world... more importantly, the magic Porsche sprinkle onto their cars and how this icon makes you feel...

Nice review. A great car. I bought one Sept 2021. Whilst you don’t buy these to save fuel, however we did an 1,100 mile tour of Scotland (lots of permanent 60mph Average Speed Cameras). We averaged 38.5 mpg. I couldn’t believe it.
It dynos between 408 & 414, a 0-60 is 3.7. (Sports chrono, PDK and sports exhaust) But they don’t tell you that when you buy one.
So much for “basic” Carrera. Wonderful car.
Amen! No you’re right you don’t but in times like these it can’t hurt to save a few quid. Dying to take something like this around Scotland. Scenery is epic!!
Bought a new 992 Carrera S last year. For the money has to be finest production sports car out there. I’m planning on upping it to my holy grail- a new gt3 touring. Manual. I’m 53. Was something I was happy to work towards. Just a beautiful car and ride. Thanks for the video.

I own one, it's my first 911 and I bought it new. A 992, Crayon with a number of options. You have successfully captured my thoughts about this car, I have driven faster, more prestigious cars, but none that just tick all of my boxes. I love it and everyone I meet, loves it. I always have a conversation at the fuel station. I thoroughly enjoyed your video.

Brilliant video. I was that kid with the poster of a 911 on my bedroom wall. I’ve had chances to drive a 911 before but always chose not to until I could afford one. I finally put a deposit on a 911 Carrera in October 2021 after a test drive showed me the 40 years of anticipation were all worth it. Only 18 months to wait now!

Great Video! My father had a guards red 911 in 1979 when I was 4 years old. Fast forward 40 years and after lots of other cars (and once I could finally afford). I bought my first Porsche. A Crayon 992 C4S that has blown me away with its usability and quality. I love it so much I now have a 4 GTS on order. I love how Porsche understate and over deliver, they are head and shoulders above the competition in my eyes.

It’s a great point about the tach being at the center: It does make the car seem more “alive”. Also, remember that we’ll have 911s available for decades, with flat sixes, as used cars. I have a 964 - no urge to buy newer.

Great video ! And yes, good choice to communicate with your virtual passengers (us). You’re quite right, objectively this 992 Carrera is plenty enough. It does everything very well indeed, goes fast enough to have your licence confiscated and will always exceed your best capabilities. That is precisely the magic formula called 911. As for the racing yellow, it looks smashing on this car. Only problem, it will be difficult to go by unnoticed. Well, who cares.
To sum it up, you have demonstrated that you can’t go wrong choosing a 911. Whichever one, including the simplest and purest of them all, the base Carrera. 👏😎

Great production. The 911 will always be the aspirational car for me, since my dad drove his co-worker's car home back when I was five. I still feel the same way about the 992. A standard Carrera would be just fine.

Dude...great job! Certainly different then the other reviews! Liked the passenger seat perspective. I think you nailed it when you referenced the emotion of driving that car. I'm a Cayenne owner for 8yrs and it's not the mid 80s 911 Targa that I had on my wall. Although it has the genetics and does much more for my family and one of these days....as you said, I'll own a modern Targa one of these days.

Great video and a great reminder of just how good the base Carrera is. Like you, I dreamed of owning a 911 one day and honestly never thought it would happen so realistically I hoped to be able to at least drive one at some point of my life. Fast forward and my first 911 back in 2018 was a 2014 Carrera base which I loved but since then I've been luckily enough to own a 2020 Carrera S, 2022 Carrera GTS and now I'm waiting for my GT3 Touring to arrive. So excited for that car as I was with all the others.
A lot of reviewers fail to portray the passion that us petrol heads have for these cars, but you did a great job of doing just that and bringing back the human element to car reviews.

Carrera 0-60 is 4.0 sec…GTS is 3.2 seconds, per Porsche’s website. Great video!

Remove before race, amongst others timed it as 3.7 but it is just academic. It’s how it gets you there. Porsche always seem to understate their figures, which is a really nice surprise when you get one.
I know it makes me sound old, which I guess I am, but I waited 50 years for one. 1972 seeing a silver 911S off the line at Prescott Hill Climb never strayed from my memory. A real honour and great pleasure to have one.
0-62 in GTS with PDK is 3.3. Huge difference also in real life. You are comparing manual and PDK.

Great video I think one day I may own a 911. I have always thought the way the glass flows to the rear of the Cayman looks better so we bought one. More recently we purchased a new Macan GTS and love the sound. I think the 911 sounds good too including the 911 GTS so perhaps further down the track whilst can still have a petrol engine. I believe Porsche has started producing Efuel and so may be more likely we can get a 911.
I hope so re the fuel! I was at a dealer a little while ago and there was a Macan GTS being handed over and when they started it I remember thinking phwoarrr that sounds good 😂
Having owned my Porsche now for 27 years I can tell you nothing feels like a Porsche. There truly is no substitute.

Nice video. I came to the 911 as a way to have a sporty great handling car as a substitute of sorts for the sport motorcycles I had ridden for years. Took delivery of a 991.2 C2s in spring 2016 and still have the car. No mods to speak of and no desire for more power. It has enough power and handles like a dream. Also recently purchased a Tesla Model Y Performance. Great around town car and very fast. Handles reasonably well but not great. It is a great fun appliance. The 911 is a mechanical work of art for the ages. Get 'em while you can!

Excellent review, mate! I rented and reviewed a 911 last year and fell completely in love. But I also realised a Cayman or Boxster would give me 90% of the joy for 30% of the price, so I went and bought a 981 Boxster. And of the 20-odd cars I’ve owned, it’s easily the best! 👍😄

Question for you : personal opinion. Does this feel evolutionary or revolutionary to you?
Deffo evo! That’s why the iconic image and design is never REALLY changed. It’s tinkered to make marginal improvement. No need to revolutionise a formula that’s served Porsche so well since the 60s
Great video. Different from most "fanboy" - need to have the GT3RS cos all the other influenzas (deliberate spelling - all wanting to go viral but make you sick watching them ) have somehow got an allocation. Would be interested in hearing your opinion on this 911 vs a manual (do they exist) one and what alternatives might be better (this vs an Emira - which is more fun). The Cayman has more boot space and the one thing that has never convinced me about the 911 - is if you have rear seats - give enough space for the passengers to have legs. I think you are right c.350 to C.400 HP is all you need which is why the Cayman (manual - the PDK is great but too clinical - I love changing gear) or maybe the Emira might have the edge.

I sold my 992 911 S. I’m getting another Macan GTS instead. The 911 was good (box ticked) but I prefer the comfort of the Macan GTS. I’ve had 5 Porsches
ive had 2 Macans before owning a 911...im getting another Macan hopefully before Christmas! the 911 will be happy to see a family😊👌

Great video! I love the 992 but I have been lucky enough to have owned my 997.2C4s for over 6 years. In my opinion it's the sweet spot. Adding another £60k+ for a 992 makes me wince. That said I am only 1 windfall away from buying one :P

You can get a near new cayman gt4 for the price of a higher milage 911 base.
The 718 spyder is more collectable and better looking convertible.
Want to save money? Go for the 718 gts.
Not bothered about NA, the 2.5 gts.
I wanna thank my immigrant parents that worked tirelessly to put food on the table and giving me and my siblings a brighter future. I was also that kid who dreamed of owning a sports car but not just any sports car I wanted a Porsche. 6 months ago after waiting 11 months for it to be built my 2022 Cayman GTS was delivered! The car is amazing and more then I could even handle at the moment. 😂

Briliant car 911 but it is more grand turismo than weekend toy . I wanted weekend toy and that is why I bought Cayman T instead and boy what a fun.
Maybe… was a bit noisy on the M way to be a GT though… but need to drive more of them to work it out. This is the only one I’ve driven for any length of time :) thanks for watching!
