    Really good Grom info in all your vid's! I look forward to hearing more about future mod's. I'm in the planning phase for a Grom. It will be perfect for me because I live in a rural Alaskan town of 2000 & I have property 15 miles outside of town on gravel roads!

    This is Daniel from Z&Z custom designs. I'm all about what's good and don't mind shout out to other companies , so Perfect Strangers designs has sick cnc aluminum chain adjusters and cnc 1 piece bar clamp , and hard racing sells additional crankshaft bearing , stock has 3 and with theirs makes 4 . Honda left 1 out of side case. Crazy I know!

    100% agree with u on the weak points on the bike. So far I’ve done a r&g fender eliminator kit and indicators, tyga exhaust, shorty levers and slimline mirror. Full BBK is next then seat, tyres, suspension, clutch & clutch cover upgrades, 5 speed conversion and brake upgrades. Stock bars don’t bother me too much but I’m a fair bit shorter than u at 5’9.

    I have an 18 as well with Yoshi Exhaust. Same bar setup as you, K&N Filter and went with Vagabond Fender Eliminator because it has the cleanest install (No splicing/Cutting) and I used the stock signals but changed em all to LED. Changed out the levers as well. Was going to go expensive (ASV) but opted to try similar ones like you bought a brand called MZS off Amazon and they fit like a glove and the quality is amazing. I also bought a 2018 Kawasaki KLX To pimp out as well. Its true id rather ride a small bike fast than a big bike slow. Love the videos man!

    Napa sells a product called scooter wash that works like magic..you spray it on and it emusifies the grease and dirt..spray it off completely though...if you let residue dry...it streaks the paint. Don't wash it in hot sun either...bike must be cool to the touch.

    I just ride stock. the only thing i upgraded was fender and adjustable levels. by the way the reason they have that big ugly fender is because it actually works and blocks all the water coming out the back tire. I installed fender eliminator obviously and all the water now splashes on my back ;D

    Great video. The backside is that way to act like a mud flap - like mud flaps on a truck. Keeps stones and stuff from hitting the cars behind you on the road. That design is probably required by the NHTSA (?) - that is why so many brands of bikes come that way. It is ugly - I agree. I wish someone made a rear tire hugger that would do the same function. It would look way better. Keep those videos coming!!!

    Man I've been bummed! I got the 1st year grom bought new. 5000 miles on it now, and the cam chain has a slight rattle. And when decelerating motor has a tick. Just seems like not many miles for these issues. I have bazzaz, chimira intake, hotbodies exhaust, and down 1tooth on front sprocket. I haven't really done that many wheelies, but I have done quite a bit of highway trips with throttle held almost wide open. Time for a top end rebuild already I guess sucks!

    • @AdventureDaily
      @AdventureDaily  7 років тому +1

    A question for those that have done the oil change. Do you use a torque wrench or do you just tighten by feel and hand? Particularly worried about over torquing the drain bolt and the ones on the spinner.

    • @AdventureDaily
      @AdventureDaily  7 років тому

      Jon It never hurts to use a torque wrench, I rarely use one unless it's something major. I hear a lot of people use loctite for the bolts on the spinner. As long as you don't over torque anything like a lot of people do, you should be fine. Thanks for watching!!

      The irony here is that I went and test drove a grom and a monkey....I actually liked it so much...I bought the more expensive monkey...the thing is actually fun...I have a hundred miles on it..it fills a niche....surprised how much more expensive the monkey was. Geezs....almost had to give them a kidney.

    If they resolved all the gripes for you you’d be paying 5000 + instead of 3300. It won’t blow up - is a Honda

      have pressure washed both my bikes over 100 times in the last 5 years and never saw one drop of water in an oil change, developed a leak or had fuel mixture issues. Just care about your stuff and don't blast seals for an hour... you'll be fine

    Issues I hate
    Underpowered
    Too slow
    Butt ugly headlight on the older models
    Too short of a wheelbase
    Too small are the wheels dangerous.
    No oil filter. .it has a oil spinner.
    Does not hold its value.. Honda dealerships are dumping them. Some as cheap as 2700.00 new.

    • @AdventureDaily
      @AdventureDaily  6 років тому +1

      The first 5 are what make a Grom a Grom lol minus the headlight part so I can't agree with you on that😂 The oil spinner I have come to appreciate because it does a great job of collecting metal shavings, as far as holding their value yes I paid almost double of what you can get a brand new one now..
