MR, Good rig setup. My experience has shown that in rubber banding gear the bands disintegrate fairly rapidly resulting in lost gear. Solutions are check & replace often or velcro bands. Too old and broken up to 'run & gun' myself. Now I am more 'stay n play' from a distance. From the 👍. Best
@ModernRefugee My experience has been that bicycle innertubes cross cut last far longer than any rubber band. But even those require an occasional check. You can get the tubes for free at any bicycle repair shop. They also make excellent wraps for my chainsaw handles that I find are slippery when using gloves. The tubing gives a super grip a whole new meaning.
Nice stuff but I find as Im getting older Iam choosing to want to carry less stuff.. I really like the condor (im sure there are others) flat type rig that fits 6 or 8 mags across with molle on the outside. Keeps it a lot flatter. You can holster or med pouch to the molle without alot of bulk.

Is the rig waterproof or water resistant ? If not you might want to get a can of scotch guard or my favorite is kiwi camp dry and give it a spray. I use it with good results on my various day packs and ATV cargo bags.
Great setup. Lets pray we never have to actually use these. Unfortunately, the likelihood we will seems to increase on a daily basis. The tin foil hats have pretty much disappeared these days.

Nice kit, don't forget snacks. It's always good to have a cliff bar or trail mix stuffed somewhere in case you get hungry on watch or patrol.

I am going to keep an eye on them and see how long they go before degradation occurs. I have also looked at using shock cord.

I can spray it down with some scotch guard. Thanks for the idea. I never thought of that.

Is it good for AKM mags 7.62x39?
Although I haven’t tried it, I believe they would fit. Because it’s basically a double mag pouch so it would be wide and deep enough.
