    It is 2024 and I am in Oklahoma. Picked up a 2013 135I Cabrio. Love the Engine and love the chassis. Such a fun little car. BMW just don’t make them like they used to. I am a little older. 48 to be exact and this is my first 1 series and my first Cabrio. Thanks for the video. Regards Man.

    one and 2 series are gorgeous. and compact. i wish we had them in malaysia. we only have the wagon version and the 3 series. i myself own a 3 series but sometimes i feel like its too big, especially for city driving.

      It’s an Mineral White Metallic Limited edition pkg w brown softtop with silver effects (not well cared for so I’ll be updating this eventually), fine-wood trim 'fineline' stream, tobacco Boston leather w/exclusive white stitching, tech package & premium package. It’s so much fun to drive.

    please give me some advice, I've been suffering for a week now
    I have an f22 220d. I am madly in love with this car, but it lacks dynamics and sound
    I was planning to take the f22 235i/ f30 335i xdrive
    but now I have found the perfect 135i e82 2011 / DCT STOCK
    I am glad that it is cheaper even than my car
    , but I am afraid that I will be able to drive an old and less beautiful car than the f22
    I can't choose, since I've never driven an e82, and the nearest test drive is 2,000 kilometers away from me)
    i do need modern technical things such a big screen or side assists

    • @apexpxl
      @apexpxl  7 місяців тому

      didn’t catch this til now!
      I’d say with any car, so long as you keep up with maintenance items or any components that wear, you should be good with either option.
      Both will be fun though i’d say you need to build e82 a bit to have as much fun as and f22 out of the box (just my opinion though i’m comparing vs an M240i i drove a few years back) That said, once you build any car properly (e82), it’ll be an absolute blast to drive!
      If you need creature comforts like carplay or driver assistance and electric steering, F22 is the best way to go.

      Great advice! I’ve got something in the works for coilovers so stay tuned for that ;) and figured I’d tackle at least the front sway bar since it’s easier to get to. Been researching M3 control arms but am not 100% convinced of the benefits. Do you happen to know the difference in feel with those installed?

      @@apexpxl shifts faster and so much smoother!!!
      Dont do engine tuning because the car will be really searchy on the back because of the open diff.
      First do handeling mods: LSD first! (os giken superlock, or something thats good in the usa)
      M3 arms all around so also the back! Alot of steering feeling and steering imput benefits.
      Swaybars for more stable rear and less roll.
      And for the brakes! Get some braided brakelines, more pressure in the brake pedal and will brake better.
      After those mods tune the engine… because then you have the benefits of the tuning!!!
      Trust me, i did tuning first and the car was driving rubish! Please first handeling mods! Then tuning. I own a 135i for 2,5 years now and I drive on the Nurburgring so no easy and soft driving.

    • @apexpxl
      @apexpxl  2 роки тому +1

      Amazing! This has to be the most through reply I’ve ever gotten and I’m bookmarking it to come back to as I continue to build the 1er.
      I was wondering whether control arms made that much of a difference and figured I should start with proper suspension all around and sway bars too but control arms just made the list.
      Brakes are also on the list as I’ve heard braided lines and fluid go a long way.
      So much fun stuff planned ahead! Thank you for the advice!

    • @xZiMinDaveyy
      @xZiMinDaveyy 2 роки тому

      @@apexpxl you’re welcome! Just dont make the same mistake as me and first spend on tuning, because its not worth the car, the car comes alive when changing the suspension etc! And lighter wheels also change alot on braking!
      In the usa you see alot of single turbo builds or extremely tuned on n54 and no other mods.. stupid as hell!!!
