What a great in depth demo! Great playing and explanations. When you got in to boosting the sounds it got really nice for me, thank you!
Thanks a lot Brian.
I have used many different drive pedals and it was sometimes difficult to get the sound I was looking for. With this pedal I was easily creating the sound I had in my head mostly due to the ability to adjust the low/mid/high freqs separately. Also, being able to stack within the pedal is amazing and fun. This pedal will never leave my board. On a side note the learning curve initially appears to be overwhelming but once you dive into the settings it makes since and very easy to remember and comprehend.
FINALLY! This was the review I was looking for - appreciate the bookmarks especially. Thank you, brother!
Glad I could help you!
Thanks Mr Vibes. This is a very useful reference video, the timestamps are useful. I have just bought an OD-200 and this has helped a lot and saved time with the setting up and getting familiar :)
Excellent video and stellar playing. Thank you for the best description yet for this pedal. I've been thinking of getting the OD-200 for a while and you have helped me with your excellent demonstration. You rock!
Thanks a lot for your kind words!
Great pedal, honestly it really is. You will enjoy it.
Thanks a lot !! All is clear, I've found the Memory section, how to extend the presets ! Great Job, a complete review.
Dang thank you for using the settings in the context of actual songs with backing tracks, that's super helpful!
Thanks a lot for the positive feedback!
Very helpful video. I watched it pre and post purchase and found it a great research. I'm a newbie to pedals. This is my 3rd OD pedal. I think it is amazing. A steal at $300 SGD!
Thank you for making this video. I have been looking for a video that showed the different boosts and your demonstration with the looped riff was exactly that. Cheers!
Glad it was helpful!
Thanks a lot for this very complete review of this nice pedal (I just ordered it). Very good job !
Glad I could help you!
brilliant review/tutorial, got mine yesterday.
Many thanks ! Great show of pedal possibilities. Best review for this pedal.
Glad you like it!
TRUE, I NEED THE STAND ALONE BOOST ABILITY AS WELL. GREAT VIDEO, I REALLY ENJOYED IT ! THANK YOU!
Thanks a lot mate 🙏😎
Great comprehensive review. I got mine yesterday. Good stuff!
Thanks a lot for your feedback!
Best demo ! great job !
Thanks a lot 🙏😎🎸
Sir, I find this video very fun to watch. You rock so hard but talk so calm, which is so funny in a good way. Amazing playing and great sense of humor!
Thanks a lot!
Totally agreed mate. 🤝🍻
Really helpful video, thank you!!!
The Boss sounds real good and your playing is world class man! Thank´s for the video!
Wow, thanks a lot for your comment!
@@RockGuitarVibes Ordered a Boss OD-200. Now waiting impatiently. :-)
Yes, turn me loose! Classic. Thanks for the review. I have been considering getting this to replace my fuzz, od, distortion, and boost for gigging to reduce the pedal count. I am leaning towards getting one. It seems very flexible.
Great video, thanks! You helped me decide to buy one.
Great video! Well done. Im hitting up my wife for getting it for xmas. I've always liked Boss pedals. This seems to be the distortion pedal to replace all others. Thanks for posting!
Good idea - thanks a lot!
Oh man, this was so great! Best review of this pedal I've seen! I've got a DS-1X that I love, but I think I need to sell it and grab one of these - it's so versatile. Great review and great playing! Love the Friedman...
Thanks a lot for your kind words.
Yeah, sell that DS-1x, this replaces it + 10
This is the clearest explanation I've seen so far.. Thanks!
Glad I could help!
@@RockGuitarVibes Sure did!
Very nicely made video
You r the man! Thanks for your effort.
Thanks a lot!
This Boss OD200 sounds amazing with Humbuckers.
Amazing video !! it was very instructive for me. I just bought an OD200 and I found your video, just thank you friend! I am subscribed to your channel
Yeah, amazing pedal huh!
thought it cool that you played some songs with these ods. but we definitely use fuzz differently. I have watched many videos like this and you can rate yours in the top 3 man you even did the update. and explained so well. thank you. i feel like i should pay you but ill just thank you again
Thanks a lot for your comment.
This was a very useful and helpful video. I hope Boss has compensated you this, "Well done"!!! Thank you...
It's an independent, non-paid video - however, a few kind words and a like from you guys can be worth more than some bucks.
Great job, maybe it’s the video that you can find I UA-cam about the OD 200, congratulations
Thanks a lot!
Great Vid.! Brian C says it all.
well done - thanks!
Thanks for the review and I do remember that song from the eighties.
the loop for checking presets was genius
Great review! Very thorough! You have a new subscriber. Let's see more!
And your playing is superb
Thanks a lot!
14:01 Marshal steak, high gain steak... They both sound delicious, I'll take both/
OMG, I LOVE THIS GUY! I've got this pedal, he could have gotten a little more excited with a 4.8 rating, but hey, that's what being German is all about! You've got a new stan Rock Guitar Vibes! And yeah, buy this pedal. Even at $250 its a steal.
Thanks a lot for your comment!
🤣🍻🥳
Wow you did a fantastic review the best I've seen over alotnof my favorite channells that have huge subs I do have to say the lick and frame you used for the boost demo was very hard to differentiate from normal .perhaps a rhythm section would have been easier over all 9.5 outta ten friend lol Tim from canada.
Thanks a lot for your kind words - pretty motivating to publish more stuff.
Great Job on Adjustments. Dont sound warbley like other vids.
Thanks a lot!
Has anyone succeeded in connecting a dvp4 as an expression pedal?
I think one of these with an EQ-200 would be a KILLER tone setup.
I use that exact duo right now
The 200 eq, the 200 delay and this 200 overdrive. With a boss tuner and a jam pedal wah.
My Hiwatt would love it.
thank you for this, most helpful! One question, do you know if there is a way to see the drive selected for your saved presets? I can only see the boost in the little display. thanks
Sorry, no idea - looks like you found a missing feature.
I own this pedal and it delivers great distortion and boost, but to my ears all the modes are the same circuit.
How do you change memory channels above 4? Seems like if I change to 5-128 am overwriting the location to get there?
In the settings (press PARAM+MEMORY buttons) you can define the start and end preset number. EtF means extend from - Ett means extend to. Simply set Ett to the highest preset you want to use - e.g. 25.
@@RockGuitarVibes Thanks so much! amazing how hard it was to get that info.... thank you again
Good playing dude...try and stop that cronic, chug-chug between your G/D/A chords as you test each sound...habit, I know, and I use to do that a lot too. I learned to whenever I noticed myself playing like a robot even for a second I would stop it...just a suggestion though...Your a good player...Nice review too...tommyrad
Hells Bells! Oh, i forgot all about that song. Been too long since i listenend to the back in black classic..
Yeah, me too...
@@RockGuitarVibes Amazing video btw! You convinced me, i will buy one. And i subbed.
@@Justaguy11199 Glad you like it and thanks for the sub 🙏 have fun with the pedal... 😎🎸
Man you can really play. Are you a professional?
Thanks a lot - no, I'm not a pro but I love pro gear and playing guitar :-)
The only reason I purchased this pedal (not yet received) is the MIDI capability. I would have spent at least 5 minutes on this function. Most people with OD/Boost pedals will buy this pedal for the main feature of MIDI. Great review otherwise!
