What is the trick to reinstall the head and the number 6 pushrods? I noticed there was an edit between removing the rockers and the head being off, did you need to remove the head with the pushrods still in it?
0331 head you don't check it for cracking very very bad idea, Buy a good quality head gasket you say and then don't replace the intake exhaust gasket !!!!!!!
Did you send the head off to get decked or checked for cracks? Just curious. I may be getting an 01 and I have combustion gases in cooling system. Its either cracked head or blown gasket. Thoughts?
I got lucky with my 2000 Jeep Grand Cherokee other than replacing oil pan valve cover gaskets front and rear seal then turning around and have to replace all the lifters and all six broken Pistons the head gasket never blew if you ever have to replace a head gaskets better replace your Pistons why you have it apart mine blew at a 145 thousand
My 2019 Jeep Cherokee with 50k miles blew the head gasket 🤙

Hi Michael, i use a magnet to remove. installing was just setting the pushrod strait in so you can feel when the rod is in the lifter seat

Yes I had it checked out first.
Hey man do you have to set these at top dead center ?? Or something before disassemble
hey, no this is an overhead valve engine so timing is not an issue during head removal
5:38 Dang, I have a lot of tools, but no 11 point sockets so I guess I'm stuck.
4.0 engine uses standard bolts. old design from american motors from the 60s. 7/16 socket is what really fits them.
@@joeblow123 It was a joke; he said "11 point sockets" when he meant to say 11MM sockets.
I thought 2000 was the first year for coil packs?
They started in the year 1999
