I love this video, and thanks for posting it. Around the mid 80s Leadbetter began to rebuild Faldo's swing, turning a journeyman professional into a 6 time major champion winner and a superstar.
Massive thanks for posting this... I learned to play the game watching these back in the late 80's and got myself down to 8. Having taken up the game again 13 years ago (I'm now 53) I tried a number of pros for lessons but have struggled to come to grips with the 'modern swing'. Watching these again has resided me of how simple a swing really is. I'm back down to 9 (8.5) and striking the ball better than ever! Can't want for next season to arrive where I'm aiming to go lower!
Thank you for posting this. I learned so much watching the first 20 minutes. I think this is the best instructional video out there. Faldo seemed like a genuinely nice guy back then. Humble.
OMG thank you so much for posting this, Nick Faldo was my golfing idol growing up and I used to watch this over and over....brings back a lot of memories for me!
I know Im asking randomly but does anyone know a method to get back into an Instagram account..? I was stupid forgot my password. I would love any assistance you can offer me.
At this point in his career, I imagine Nick was doing what all major winners did, make how to video. But because he had to work harder than others in terms of technique, he had so much more to offer! And that is his great value to the game still today.
Nick still had best mechanics of striking the golf ball period an he was a tactician hitting irons , he doesn’t have 3 masters from just talking. That said if I was showing person an wanted to copy a swing this is the one to copy. Great video.
@@carlcampbell6827 I'm not sure if Leadbetter was the cause of her slipping off the radar, but he coached her when she was young and already had a natural swing. But she also had injuries so that didn't help either.
Dear God🙏♥️💕 in heaven, I come to you in the name of Jesus. I acknowledge to You that I am a sinner, and I am sorry for my sins and the life that I have lived; I need your forgiveness. I believe that your only begotten Son Jesus Christ shed His precious blood on the cross at Calvary and died for my sins, and I am now willing to turn from my sin. You said in the bible that if we confess the Lord our God and believe in our hearts that God raised Jesus from the dead, we shall be saved. Right now I confess Jesus as my Lord. With my heart, I believe that God raised Jesus from the dead. This very moment I accept Jesus Christ as my own personal Savior and according to His Word, right now I am saved. Amen.

I watched this religiously as a kid. Built my whole game from it. Got me to +4 handicap and then life happened.

Pure class, bought this for my dad in 1998! Thanks for uploading.

I had this video in VHS 20 some years ago. It's how I taught myself to golf. Worked myself to a single digits handicap.

I love how Nick makes lazer sounds when he's golfing. Pure 80's!
Per-Sheoooow. Best sign that he’s human. It’s my reward for a good shot now. Pee-Sheoooooooow.
Wonderful video. My golf game improves everytime I watch!
Super player super coaching PGA staffer excellent review of all shots.. Thanks a lot

I loved his swing it’s really simple straight back an straight threw , 3x master winner amazing iron player
That sound Nick of impact on Nick's irons, incredible
When I was a kid I used to mow lawns for a couple and they lent me this video, got me hooked on the game!
Great upload thanks

Thanks for posting this.
Ditto!!
Nick looks exactly the same today..
Always loved the Vestron Video logo.
David Leadbetter! He made Price and Faldo major champs!
Wow amazing thankyou
you are very welcome!
What a video! I will show all the working professionals at Choristers this.
Two men in love
thanks so much for uploading this you are a diamond.
Now then.....where did I put my green trousers....

I’m just thinking all the players with a straight left arm
And he stripes those persimmon woods
Ledbetter kind of went of the rails in later years trying to revolutionize the golf swing.
I'm sure he just got bored with something that already worked, and started tinkering. Unfortunately its a dangerous hobby when tour pros get involved.
@@funkster007 - Liddia Ko looked like someone else when Ledbetter got through with her; very steep.
@@carlcampbell6827 And Michelle Wie
@@funkster007 - What happened to Michelle Wie? Please refresh our memories. Did she fall off the tour after Ledbetter got a hold of her?

A lot of Mac Ogrady in this ,I wonder if David studied Macs swing.the words balance and arms connected to the body seem very similar.
Nope! This Swing was the brain child of South African golf teacher Phil Ritson who taught Leadbetter all he knows
That’s not what Mac said he gave lessons to David and nick price and Faldo and then complained they wrote a book and gave him no credit
No Mac in this! Stop it! Ritson swing
I think he bought that beach ball from Woolworths!
Basically, we have Bryson without the muscles (and 5 more Majors so far). Faldo thought of everything.
Faldo won 6 majors
How many other players did David help his players get 6 majors
Nick price became #1 in the world and British open and 2 pga championships and he was the template for Faldo and Ernie Els was a Leadbetter guy
The position 20:21 I like to get....
Love watching pros hit the ball without that bull shit about shaft lean.

God loved Bernhard Langer most when he won The Open.
