Although Sauron knew that Men were easier to sway, he sought to bring the Elves into his service, as they were far more powerful. By about SA 1500, Sauron put on a fair visage and called himself Annatar, the "Lord of Gifts". The Unfinished Tales tells us that Annatar assumed the guise of an emissary of the Valar "anticipating the Istari".[16] In other words, he said that he was a Maia who had been sent from Valinor had once been in the service of the Valar Aulë.

I noticed that little blue light that fled when the dark tower of Sauron fell after the eye pretty much went kaboom. I figure that was celebrimbor being free an making his escape from being trapped inside the Dark Lord's body/form. Though that does make me a bit curious on something where did he go, and therefore what basically becomes of celebrimbor?
When elves die, they actually turn to spirits. Their spirit are immortal, and several who died actually returned either reincarnated in babies or just in new bodies after a while. It is likely that now free of the Ring's corruption, Celebrimbor's spirit went West, toward Valinor, where the elves gather.

I wish they included scenes like Sauron directing orders to his minions in the movies.
He didnt have a body
@@chrispekel5709 he did
@@elpsykoongro5379 if he had a body in Jackson's films why did we never see Sauron's physical form? The closest was when Aragon saw the projected future with Sauron wearing the ring when he used the Palantier (sp?)
When Saruman is communicating with Sauron all we see is flames akin to the way he was also presented in the Hobbit movies (as a kind of ghost spirit)
They also changed the final fight outside the black gate from Sauron into a troll.
I thought it was pretty clear in the films that he needs to get the ring back to where his spirit is (in the tower) before he can become physical again. Feel free to argue of course
@@chrispekel5709 he did have a body
@@chrispekel5709 they don’t make it clear because just having the eye makes him more threatening because we don’t know how he actually looks, and I can see you have never read the books, that’s fair but Tolkien does say he had a physical form, he just didn’t wanted to get out from the tower mainly because he was afraid, also it took 4 years to get him out of the tower in the war of the last alliance
Is it just me or do I sense a minuscule hint of regret when the witch king say “Nothing of my soul remains” 3:29
This is my favorite part of Skyrim.
Skyrim has an ending?
I like the idea how in the end Talion became part of the Nine and was part of the Nazguls that hunted Frodo. Tbh that would be my canon. I like the idea of Frodo being the only hero capable to defeat Sauron.
I really hope someday they'll make a Lord of the rings game like this again 👍
When I play the epilogue I always thought man Talion must have suffered greatly.

As a fan of the books the the movies, I like this game. It fits well into the fold for me personally, and fills in some of the imagined in what I imagine to be a very accurate portrayal from Middle Earth.
I know there were some controversies surrounding this game, but well, I got it later on, and it's a great game in so many ways.

What’s the game called
@@lunar3313 seriously ? Shadow of War
The gameplay just by itself is amazing. Story was decent but nemesis system was what made it so replayable. The music/sound design was good too.
The thing that makes it remotely a bad game was the horrendous microtransactions that ruined multiplayer and single player too when the gane released. Luckily it hasen't been like that for years so its a 8/10 game now imo.

As a huge Tolkien fan I realize this is non canon and some things don't really fit, but the story and cinematics are awesome and if THE RINGS OF POWER had been on this level I would have been thrilled. These video games were ten times better than that TV show.
Not sure how I ended up here, but watched the whole video and even though I'm not much of a LotR fan and don't play the game... I found it fascinating and engrossing! Great job to the makers of it! =)
It’s be so cool if you could keep playing as the witch king, even just as a skin. Fighting for Sauron, how awesome would that be
I really enjoyed the two shadoq of mordor games. The fombat was fun and fluid. The nemesis system was dope and I like how they incorporated characters from theblire in such a way that it doesnt beeak who they are.
"I am not of darkness yet" says the guy wearing a cowl with glowing yellow eyes with black markings on his face
His heart wasn't there yet.
We need a game where we would play out a life of Glorfindel, single most badass elf that was still around after fall of Sauron
Talion is an extremely tragic character. Glad he found peace at the very end of it all.
You know, if you think about it, our favorite ranger/ghost duo can technically be classified as a death knight or revenant. Hes dead, but possessing his own body.

*"Shadow of Mordor"*
I dont care if its non canon. I love “evil sexy elf” Sauron so so much
its canonical he could shape shift and it was one of his appearance back in a day he used this form while i think his time in numenor, he was called "anatar"- gift master, it was his most beautifull shape, while looking like that it was easier for him to manipulate minds cause of beauty and might of this version

3:13 the middle earth equivalent of “You’re excused…and I’m not your brah”
This, despite being a non-canon story (and never tried to be) portrayed Middle-Earth better than the 1B$ show.
Holy shit, its Mimir
The ending was absolutely amazing

This may not be cannon but it's well written. I feel like Tolkien would approve with a lot of it and if Tolkien himself was to come up with this we wouldn't bat an eye lid which is a lot more than can be said for the Amazon series. Also goes to show that you can deviate from the official cannon of a story, use your creativity and still come up with something good if you have the talent.
Tolkien would not approve anything kind of adaptation!
@@arderon5 They did the best they could. Look a bit into the rights to Tolkien's work, there is a reason why this had to be non-canon and I'm sure that if they were able to get full rights then it would have made it fit into the canon a lot more.

Once you get around the idea of stuff like Nazgul, trolls, dragons, and orcs.. it's essentially just another story of medieval warfare between different clans of people.
