This is the best tutorial I have ever come across for this kind of photography and editing. Amazing.

This and it's accompanying tutorial is really great. Matt seems like such a good dude too.
Literally just had some new lights that'll enable me to shoot HSS so this is getting me excited!

Matt, the editing is fantastic and what a transformation from capture to completion! My biggest question now is how do you sell that final completed look without doing it on spec for every player?

Do you prefer the beauty dish for size, softness, etc? I have two of the 3x4 Rapid boxes I was going to use to do some similar shots you did for football and even the light out of full body. Pro/Cons of the larger modifiers vs beauty dish would be nice to see. Good content on this one. And yes finding Covid friendly locations has us shooting football on baseball fields. ARG!

Beginner photography question how many flashes do you need to take these dramatic pictures? They look so epic to me.

You can take dramatic photos with just one light! Especially starting out, you need to master one light before adding more.

Great vid Matt, my question is on the side of making a living from what you do. So this shoot is with an athlete who plays soccer. Do you get paid for this type of shoot?

I don't understand the logic ... The only thing you could still recognize the sports field from were the light poles. If they were removed with Photoshop, you could have shot in the front yard.

Shooting at the park gives him more flexibility with composition and debt . He probably used the lights in others poses

Or removed the backround and added a new one. Over edited in my opinion.
