  • I know and like a lot of Fleetwood Mac songs, but this is one I don’t. It was suggested due to the incredible guitar solo by Lindsey
Buckingham at this live performance. Link below to the original video I reacted to.

If Lindsey is on the tour, this song is the highlight of the concert. If he isn't, they have 2 or 3 other professional guitarists trying to place his part on the other songs.

I've always thought Lindsey Buckingham was the most underrated guitarist in rock and roll history. And Mick Fleetwood is one of the most underrated drummers.

There is a GREAT early live version (1976) from the Rosebud Film documentary of Fleetwood Mac, in Santa Barbara...there are a couple of other good songs on there too. This was just before they became megastars with Rumours, they toured promoting their self-tiled Fleetwood Mac album...it is so cool to see them so young. Keep up the great work.

Seems like everyone has a different favorite version :-) Mine is the Cleveland 1980 version (audio only). That IMO is Buckingham at his peak.

Instant like! Always liked Fleetwood Mac in all their various forms. Lindsay Buckingham is a fine guitarist. I haven't really liked his singing much though to be honest.
Of course the original Fleetwood Mac led by Peter Green are my favourite form of this band. They were very much at the forefront of the British Blues revival of the late 1960's early 1970's.
Peter Green, John McVie and Mick Fleetwood had all been members of John Mayall's Bluesbreakers and formed Peter Green's Fleetwood Mac. However, after the first album Peter was not happy about having his name 'out front' so they became just Fleetwood Mac.
Peter was a very modest guy and an absolutely brilliant guitarist. BB King said that Peter was "the only living guitarist to make me sweat. He had the sweetest tone I've ever heard ".
Peter was also responsible for bringing a very young Gary Moore to England from Northern Ireland and getting his band Skid Row a recording contract with CBS.
Peter also famously gave Gary the iconic Greeny/Moore Gibson Les Paul. Now owned by Kirk Hammett.
Actually, Peter wanted to give Gary the guitar, but Gary wouldn't accept it. So Peter told Gary to sell the guitar he was using and give him whatever money he got for it.
Gary of course kept that guitar for most of his career.
Anyway, I won't bore you with more. 😂 Great reaction. Cheers. 😊😎🎸

The Dance version was better, this was more gritty, the Dance concert was perfect

Thanks a lot reCAP for reacting to my Fleetwood Mac song suggestion. I’m glad you loved it! Buckingham is a musical genius. This is my personal favorite followed by a version he did as a solo artist in Dallas in 2007. It too is on UA-cam. He reworks it with a completely different opening, while the ending solo starts a little slower but builds up in intensity big time. The one you reviewed is more over the top while the Dallas show is moodier. The Dance version from 1997 is very similar to the one you saw, just to me not quite as wild. I must say Stevie Nicks looks better in it though! Another outrageous song by Lindsey from the Live in Boston show is “Come”. The ending solo on it is just plain nasty! It features two drummers (Mick and another guy) kicking ass the whole way through. Crazy! Thanks again!

You've gotta listen to 'The Dance' version (1997), as it is by far the best! ua-cam.com/video/6OrtLxsqSic/v-deo.html. The studio version is in a different key and pales in comparison to his live versions. He's changed the key over the years to fit his changing voice, but he is still rocking this song at the age of 72 at live performances. Took my 15-year old daughter to his concert a few weeks ago and she was blown away at the fact that he can still rock so hard at 72!

I normally don't do the same song twice but more than a few people have said I need to do the Dance version of this. I think I will.

@@PERKSreCAP Well, you don't have to review it - just listen to it. And check out his live 1976 performance of the same song for contrast if you're interested. Stevie sang a lot more of it with him
