    Wow you really know your stuff, great at explaining things to.
    See I have CML and I take dasatanib which is the TKI to prevent my leukemia moving into AML,
    I often think why don’t they just give me chemo and try completely kill it.
    A tablet a day is easier enough to do though so I’m happy enough to do that, it’s all confusing still and I’ve had this since December 14 2016 😁
    I enjoyed this video I’ve subscribed so I look forward to seeing your journey

      Also, can I ask do you need a bone marrow transplant, I’m told that’s my last resort if my chronic phase does progress into the more aggressive blast phase.

      Hey again
      Just seen you answered my last question in this post! :P A tablet does sound good, with less wires to worry about too ! :) And transplant is definitely on the table right now. There is so much uncertainty right now. The main priority is to allow for some recovery now after all my cycles and then review going ahead with my transplant next year. So just making the most of my spare time now :) It is a scary thing to hear though isnt it !!

      Tyler Blah yeah I imagine the wires and the chemo aren’t
      nice to go through, it’s bad enough knowing a tablet keeps me alive. Strange feeling, they do have some amazing treatments now don’t they. Good luck with everything, I do believe being positive helps a lot too, you seem to have that so that’s great. I’ll be watching your videos and following your journey, all the best 😃

    Great video. I hope you stay as a med student and become an oncologist, then you have first hand knowledge of symptoms and side effects. I was diagnosed with breast cancer the first time in 1999 and had gone through four cycles of chemo - explanation of chemo is great.

      @@TylerBlah Thank you Tyler!!! Personally, I would never consent to cancer treatment!!! However, dying from cancer is horrendous. Please see my comments under the video, "The Terry Fox Story".

    What type medicine did u take prior to your bone marrow biopsy? In one of your videos u held up something that u said helped your pain. It look lite a white container, maybe with green writing and a brown liquid. I just could not tell it was so quickly. Thanks so much!

      Thanks for the comment! And I am so glad it helped. I definitely felt lost at the beginning too. It's almost impossible to be really prepared I'd say!

      @@TylerBlah they're talking to me about consolidation chemo now ,my first round of chemo was for 7 days straight 24 hrs, is it worse during the consolidation? I know we're all different but a lot of what you talk about/feel , I've felt the same. I'm trying to mentally prepare myself for the next step.

    • @TylerBlah
      @TylerBlah  5 років тому

      @@karolinarodriguez5051 by worse what do you mean specifically? My consolidation was HiDAC and time wise the treatment is much shorter. And personally I tolerated it really well. Almost asymptomatic for most of it! But as you said individual experience with the treatments are super varied, but I found Consolidation much better than induction during my experience :)

      @@TylerBlah hi ! yes , i guess i ment if you had more of the side effects ,i handled induction pretty well so i feel a bit more frightened this time around. I know i'll be fine ,always staying positive . I am waiting for ithem to walk in any minute now but i was not lucky enough to use a fanny pack ,readmitted so enjoying the food!

      Hi elvrida naibaho. The side effects video is another new video on top of the one that was just released. So it should be soon! I've linked my instagram in the description section to send messages if you needed. A qualified doctor is always my number one recommendation though for questions, and then the community (including patients like me :D ). As the doctors are very knowledgeable on these topics.
