Probably air trapped in your heater core or clogged heater core. I’d flush the core then bleed coolant system very thoroughly. When you think it’s bled all the way, do it again. Air can easily stay trapped in there

That why u gotta flushed & clean cooling system cleaner check for leaks crack on hose check for clogged hose build up that why i use cooling system cleaner for light clean 10 min deep clean 3-6 hours check the water pumps & if is no code could be problem thermostat or water pump make sure serpentine belt is lubricants most cases rust pully doesn’t spin much that’s why important to lubricants

Okay on my 2016 Chevy Cruze I done replace the hoses the Overflow container to the Head cracks in it but the holes leading from my thermostat liquid is cold but all the other hoses are hot and it's a leak under the thermostat at but I believe it's coming from the housing could that be the reason my car is overheating
I found out that I had a leak from the housing connecting to the engine is very very small you can't see it but that's where it was coming from and also my thermostat wasn't closing so that whole stay cold but I fixed it all now everything is fine
This happen to me with my mustang every time I race the engine it wouldn’t over heat but when I shut the ride off and park it after pushing the engine over 4k RPM, the coolant would come out of the coolant cap steaming, I started stressing about it because I thought it was a bad head gasket but i check the oil and there’s no milky liquid or signs of coolant in the oil and I check my exhaust and there no smoke whatsoever so I checked my thermostat and it was stuck half way open, jammed I would say and my water pump was giving out making a whine, but the signs I seen with my damaged thermostat it would take 15 miles to get to normal temperature and my gas MPG was bad and everytime I pushed the engine the temperature gauge would slightly go into the heat side until I let off the gas it would cool down, but I changed out the water pump and thermostat my car doesn’t do that anymore
I have a 2000 audi A6 Quatro 2.8 v6 it has a noise like coolant boiling or hissing coming from the plastic coolant resivor however it stops when I take the negative battery cable of and dosen't make noise again until I run it for a few minute I just replaced water pump and thermostat. I’ve been filling up my coolant and the reservoir is empty by morning. I filled it up again and turned on the engine to find out where the leak is coming from. When I turned my engine on the and left it for about 10 mins, the coolant was boiling and pouring out of the cap. I checked my oil and it doesn’t seem to be contaminated. Is the issue just from a faulty cap?
@@leslietyler6597 when your car engine is cold open the oil cap on top off engine see if the oil is black or a coffee/ milky colour it’s possible it’s not boiling with heat but with air pressures could be a hole in radiator or if cap it’s milky fluid is mixing with oil so it will be head gasket there a liquid you can buy that can possibly help if original damage is not to severe fills in holes in gasket radiator cylinders ask your garage about it

I checked fluid bled the system numerous of times and still have a rock hard upper radiator hose while running also upper hose is hot and hard but the bottom hose is not hard and is cold. I put new water pump and thermostat and a ebay radiator but it's still the same. May have something to do with my cats as they are the wrong one.

White chalky liquid all over the engine! Pulled the oil dip stick and it seems the oil is regular color. Slightly light brown though. I cant tell where the fluid came from. Hello! I recently replaced the radiator on my ‘19 Chrysler Pacifica. Afterwards, I burped the coolant with a big funnel, but now the coolant level on the expansion tank is a bit high after the car seats overnight. Soon as I open the cap it makes a whoosh sound and the coolant level drops about 1.5 inches. Do you think I may still have air in the cooling system? Should I repeat the burping process??
@@zafir3831 Yes, I found the issue. It was the Coolant Expansion tank cap. The two seals on the cap were swollen & deformed, therefore it would not hold pressure. I replaced the cap, problem solved.

BUT WHAT if expansion tank is way above maximum line, and radiator starts at full immediately after replacement radiator and fill, but the next day overflow reservoir tank is way above maximum level adn coolant in radiator lowers so cant be seen. So i siphoned off coolant out of overflow tank, then filled radiator to top level again. Went a couple cycles like that. Confuisng. 2008 nissan xterrra, which has a pressurized coolant reservoir overflow cap, non pressurized radiator cap.

It happened to my 2013 Corolla , the coolant reservoir was splashing from the reservoir but the temp gauge was not showing any overheating , after 2 weeks of driving the temp still fine but i was surprised that the reservoir was empty ! Then i went to mechanic , he saw that the battery is new then he knew the reason , there is a thin radiator plastic tube close to the battery it always breaks when you replace the battery cuz its very close .. he replaced the tube and refill coolant and the issue went away , may be if i did not fix it the engine would be gone ,

Both my oil and coolant temperature is normal. I am also not losing coolant. But after I shut down my engine from 45 minutes of driving, i start to hear hissing sound coming from the radiator area. I saw it look blue from inside when I open the cap but was brown looking when I saw it from the outside. So Idk why I thought of smelling it. So I took the cap off and put one side of my nose and smell it and after I felt it kick. I look it up and wonder by so when I look it up I found out of deadly it can be. The car was sitting for a while so it wasn't hot antifreeze. But my question is did I end up damaging my organs doing this?

After a while I noticed smoke coming from the engine. However, the car was not overheating on the sensor. The car then cutoff, and wouldn't start. I then opened the cars hood to find that the coolant tank cap was not replaced. The coolant was also boiling in the tank, and leaking out the bottom. Car wouldnt start. On my car I replaced the radiator. I replaced the thermostat. I replace the water pump and the sensor for the temperature gauge now after all of those things all of the water goes from the radiator to the reserve reservoir in if I drive my car after period of time. The temperature gauge rises to hot, but then comes back down.

If there is signs of leakage on top of the expansion tank as well as the engine overheating would that be a faulty cap?

Boiling means air is getting in system somewhere, more than likely the engine.
truth. flushed coolant recently at the shop and it boils and overflow inside reservoir. massaging the hoses worked well.

I think the transmission cooler problem is there, or the gasket cap or thermostate valve

Same thing hapened to my Corolla i foundout that there was a little radiator plastic tube broken , you may have tube broken or some bug leak

Because the small cars is over heating you should remove radiator cap.

What do you guys use for coolant reservoir tank leaks do to minor crack/holes?
If you can access the hose and the crack with hands than there are are tape avaiable designed for high heat and water/coolant resistant. use them.

Mine overflows after 15 minutes of the engine running. ( coolant cap is off and still over flows) temp gauge stays at normal 1/2 temp
U have air in the coolant system, get an OEM radiator cap and burp the system
I have an 03 Subaru forester, overheated today steam coming out the radiator cap, and coolant bubbled out. Could it be thermostat, water pump or?? Really hoping it’s not the fucking head gasket, I paid 4k for the thing not looking to do that again :(

I have a 2012 cruze....Mine did this every time I took off the coolant cap............Believe it or not I found a simple fix.....Anytime you have to take off your coolant cap...Take the neg cable off your battery...believe me it works.....No bubbling over.....
I don’t have a radiator cap and I have this issue of boiling coolant, I got a new water pump /thermostat assembly put on I switched to a new coolant sensor, my motor sounds fine as it always did and I don’t see any smoke at all but yet I can’t seem to figure out this issue on a 2015 Audi A3

On my car I replaced the radiator. I replaced the thermostat. I replace the water pump and the sensor for the temperature gauge now after all of those things all of the water goes from the radiator to the reserve reservoir in if I drive my car after period of time. The temperature gauge rises to hot, but then comes back down.

If it's a Diesel it could also be EGR Cooler.

Wife's truck, coolant boiling, just replaced water pump and thermostat. No heat, idk what her issue is, it's -2 outside so lol gonna have fun looking this up

Put thermostat in,coolant,noticed since put new cap on it overheats bad and blows cold need fix it but does lek underneath water pump.....how fix problem before winter in 1997 Chrysler ciruss lx 2.5 ltr 6 cyl
