My husband and I stayed in Hikifune for 2 weeks in 2019. We loved that there were hardly any tourists, so we got a feel of everyday Japan life. We loved the convenience as well. Up ahead this street there was a nice supermarket which was across our place, the food places all around were cheap and amazing, and Hikifune station was a treat. I would stop by Tullys for coffee and hop on to head to Oshiage for skytree for our connection, only a 7 min walk from our place. The Cherry blossom trees along this street were the cherry on top. Thank you for taking us back today.
Omg that’s so cool about Kanae’s performance!! She looked amazing in the dress rehearsal! Wow! 🤩 I hope everyone has an amazing show! I could see the Sky Tree through a little gap in buildings from the top floor at the Westin in Yokohama, Minatomirai! That thing is so tall! Amazing!
Hi, john. Great video as always. Love to watch you walking around Tokyo. I rented an apartment through Airbnb 5 minutes from there near Oshiage station. I loved the location near the Skytree and there was a train that went straight to Haneda airport. Very nice neighborhood.
we stayed at an AirBnB at Hikifune couple months ago, it's quite convenient and has direct train access to both Narita and Haneda, and we get an entire house to ourselves instead of a small hotel room. wouldn't mind staying there again next time.
Congratz on your wife's show. And it seems you're still looking for the illusive ramen in a can, good luck with that John! 😂 Hikifune gives me a mix of a western and japanese place, is that maybe why some expats like to move there aswell? And the sidewalks are very big!
I stayed at an Airbnb roughly around this area 7 years ago. I loved it. I'm returning for my 2nd trip in September and looking around this area again ❤.
Hi John and Mr Leo thank you for showing us around Japan and the neat places and food. Watching from Oklahoma. 😊 BTW I have two pet fancy rats one is named Splinter after the sensei in ninja turtles.
Love watching the the trains . I know I’m weird LOL but, I would just sit there somewhere and watch the traffic and trains. And go to a mix of different places in Japan. Wanna try their food and treats and pick up some souvenirs.
Before Leo was born you once said that you wanted to leave Tokyo and go live in a smaller city or town. is that something that's still on your mind or have you decided to stay?
Hello John and Little Nephew Leo and Kanae. 👋🏻👋🏻👋🏻🩵 so interesting to see Kanae in her play and so inspiring to see Skytree. Did they add on to it? Love looking at Japan. Thank you for sharing.

My favorite area. If one day I can go to Japan and stay for 2-3 months I’ll stay in this area. I visited a few years back and I loved it, loved it!
That is awesome that kanae gets to shine. 🎉

Thanks for video

Sure, it’s still a good possibility, sooner than later. It’s not just me though, it has to be a mutual decision.
Hooray for Kanae and Leo 🎉
Wish im there to watch the show 😃🤙

It’s a cool area, authentic, - Japanese urban suburb of Tokyo feel.
