Mrs. Hollinger bursts into Donald's room without knocking, and jumps right into his conversation with Ann. She made a point of telling Ann that an old girlfriend of Donald's would be at a party at their house that night. The dragon's claws came out early.
What season? I have not seen that episode yet. Could it be possible that this episode was meant to be a predecessor to that episode? The hair styles of each season will definitely give the answer.
@@johnny-beckerNo. Not out of sequence. Ann’s hair was the flip, bangs in the previous years. Don’s hair was growing starting about middle of 4. Going from my senile memory so…….. .
She could have aggravated me for all these years. Major crush since the beginning. Girlfriend at the time (now ex wife) did not like me watching this or my other squeeze, Jaclyn Smith. Should have been a sign but as it’s known “young, dumb (you know the rest).”
For years, I have never figured out why Mr. Hollinger Senior, during the party stated to a guest that Ann was in prison and that it had to do with her first husband. Can somebody please explain what this has to do with the story or why he would say such a thing?
@@randilevson9547 Look what up? I suppose it is supposed to be a "joke", but this "joke" is not the type of humor typical for this show at all. It is surprising that this dialogue was used so carelessly.
I weighed 90 pounds @ 5' 4" when I graduated from high school. Gained 10 pounds 1st semester of college. It was the age of Twiggy. We would all be better off if we were on the thin side.
I've Always liked this Show. God Bless Ms Marlo Thomas.
Saying "That Girl" in the intro of every episode is quite the challenge without being repetitive. They keep finding new ways!
Don's dad in this episode is so sweet! What a great toast. His mom on the other hand is like Lew!
What a great toast! LOL
Ann is so gorgeous. Love her halter dress
Ann really has no right to complain about Don’s mom not liking her when he’s been putting up with Lew’s asides for five years!
Ah good point!
Ann had previously met Donald's parents for first time in Season 1, but here she says she is meeting them for the first time.
The most adorable couple! ❤
Love this show ty for sharing

Frank Faylen - Dobie Gillis' dad! William Christopher X2
The writers got sloppy. Don's parents and Ann met at Thanksgiving in a previous episode.

Yes they met when Donald's parents came to NYC!
Season 2, episode 11@@johnny-becker
In previous seasons, Mr. Hollinger's first name was Harold. Here his first name is Bert.
Don's mother has some sharp teeth
She has had a lot of practice. She was also Darrin's mother on Bewitched.
17:08 William Christopher if I am not.mistaken, M*A*S*H's Father Mulcahy
I admire Donald Hollinger for staying with that aggravating girl!!!!
Didn't know Donald's mom was still alive

@patriciamorgan2669 she is quite aggravating. "That girl"" is hard to live with.

Yeah, I thought that was strange too. I suppose the joke was that he was drunk and saying wild things to mess with them?
It's called a joke. Look it up.

We already met the mom and dad before so whats with " your mom doesnt like me" stuff? Same mom, new dad.
That pinkish color is a surprising choice for a boy’s room in the 1950s and ‘60s
Why is Don's sister Sandy not there? Cloris must have been taping a Mary Tyler Moore episode.
No food, no offer to get a drink
Dons mom is a lousy hostess
wasnt their plane landing at san fran airport??
Apparently Herbert T.Gillis got remarried...and Father Mulcahy before he became a priest....
Would it have killed her to wear a bra?
Dress not designed for one. Ex had one same style. There’s a liner type thing in it. Ex wore it to a wedding and the bride was not thrilled about it.
Marlo looks a bit too skinny in this episode! And I know it was the look of the time but I don’t love that fake tan on her arms

Don had a pink bedroom?
Probably more the horrible lighting, color from that day and the way it projected especially after all these years.
Maybe it got repainted after Don moved out. 😊
