Ray just pointed at the backdoor when he said "it doesn't matter what they think over there"!!!! Very confusing because I thought the parents lived across the street from Ray and Debra.

Robert was still traumatized from his divorce, and wasn't ready for a commitment. Hell, even Ray tried to tell the family that, but they either ignored him or believed Robert was gay.

Maybe every guy secretly wishes he lived in a cabin out in the forest, by a stream. Alone, but possibly not lonely. Then a fine woman comes into his life with a lasagna, sets the table, has dinner with him, does the dishes, and then leaves so he can go back to his fishing.

Lol, please. Marie is one of the main reasons Robert had problems in the first place. Hell, Ray, too. With Robert, she rarely shows love and respect, which had him so unsure about how to be in a committed relationship. With Ray, she was overly affectionate to the point of smothering. Ray even admitted in therapy that he wanted to have a wife who was just like her.

this is how it starts: we grow up as children watching men get de-masculinized, yelled at, and hit by women and then wonder how all the modern grown men are so soft. I wonder....what could they have been watching as kids to make them like this? Shows like this.
Even as a kid, I never liked shows like this because i tried to put myself in the shoes of the characters....and the least comfortable characters were always the men. The men never won. The men were always laughed at. So stopped watching. I dont want to be laughed at. I dont want to be a loser.
BUT....if parents dont limit their kids input, you get broken adults. This show is fine if you're an adult, b/c you can differentiate reality from entertainment. Kids, on the other hand, are looking everywhere for guidance and clues on how to grow up. They might grow up to be a punchline.
Peter was the worse on the show.
