I do appreciate these videos! So uncomplicated. Living sure wasn't that easily dealt with in reality, but the popular shows gave us the feeling that most people were good and problems could be fixed in a half an hour. The news about government or far away difficulties were given to us a half hour a day as well. We spent most of the time with the people around us. Working together on things directly impacting our daily life. I miss the simplicity of just being who we are individually. Hearing your own thoughts was "normal" because we weren't constantly under the assault of internet opinions. Thank you for offering pure entertainment.
My husband and I never had children, but in the late 1980's we took care of our friends' 3 kids for a week. It was a wonderful experience, and two of the three still keep in touch with us.
Nino is played by Gino Conforti, the Waterless Thunderware Cookware salesman from the MTM show. Donald's buddy Chippy is played by William Christopher, Father Mulcahy from MASH. Chippy is a creep. He has no idea about women. He was better off as a priest. Fascinating bits of t.v. trivia. You're welcome.
It was inconsiderate of the mother to bring the child's lemon tree without asking The kid inconvenienced Ann with her demands. She was well behaved but ruined her dinner party.
Chippy broke so many social rules! Coming an hour early was bad, but to a party hosted by a lady he never met?! And then putting his wife in the spotlight in an age where the hostess was the hardworking queen at every party! Heather did her best to compliment the hostess, though. It was probably heather who brought the hostess gift😅. People watching this in the 60 probably found this party even more cringy and disasterous.
They tried to dress little Caroline like Pippi Longstocking. Long braids and all. It didn't work. She was a non-brat, and a good kid. Never seen or heard from again.
In the checkers game between Ann and Donald, Ann did have a valid move other than jumping Donald's piece. She likely would have still lost the game, but it would have taken a few more moves.
When the Caroline character unplugs the refrigerator to plug in the lemon tree's heater the plug immediately falls out of the outlet. The characters carry on without noticing.
It was very odd that there was dialog about not knowing Ann had a child and her father being away and seeming body language of disapproval from Chippy and Heather and then the whole thing dropped into oblivion. What was the point?
I remember the styles of the 1960's and the 1970's. Not all of the clothes were "cool". Her dinner dress looks aweful , now 60 years later I see the great and the horrible!!

I love your analysis of why we feel drawn to "those good old days". So true. I couldn't agree with you more.
@@happyheart2871 However - there are BETTER shows like The Mary Tyler Moore Show .
Heather was no competition for Ann. Don definitely upgraded!

Caroline played by actress Cindy Eilbacher, was gem of a child actress.
Ann looks like she’s dressed for a Halloween party. She usually looks so stylish

This is a horrible dress for Ann. She usually looks so stylish and adorable.. poor Ann hurt her back.. she is so stressed . 😡
Ann's dress is beautiful.
I think that dress was chosen to make her look more clumsy and frumpy compared to her boyfriends ex.
i love Ann's dress it's beautiful
i love Ann's dress it's beautiful
@@michaelglass4701 Most of the time - her clothes are nice. But not here. P.S. Most of her clothes on the show -- were her OWN clothes in real life.
Wow--a VERY young William Christopher as "Chippy"... pre-M*A*S*H.
Father "Chippy" hahahhahaha
Do you have any episodes of That Girl from Season 5 (1970-1971), the last season of the show's run?🙂
Yes they do !!! 😊
The title is a reference to the Swedish porn film “I Am Curious (Yellow)”, making its controversial debut in 1967.
It was not quite "PORN" yet. It was soft core schmaltz.
Ann may be bent, but she still looks great. 😍
That is Father from mash
That chippy looks as old as dirt!!!!! Ann has nothing to worry about!!!!

I would wear a sexy dress to meet my boyfriends’ ex.
that orange dress is the only ugly one I have ever seen her wear.usually her clothes are mod & classy!that looks like a halloween dress....😸
I agree.
It's pretty awful.

yeah I thought the dress was a halloween outfit
The most horrible dress in history and Donald has his feet on the table WITH his shoes on.
I thought the same thing, I take my shoes off.
He took them off last week at Hoover Dam and Ann's father gave him grief for it.
