  • In this episode, Savannah gets some well needed work done, ánd I am exploring the gorgeous Cape Town a bit more. I ride around the colourful neighbourhood of Bo Kaap and attempt to get to the top of Table Mountain. Even though it's unfortunately too windy to get to the top, I will explain to you why this mountain is flat!

I am originally from South Africa 🇿🇦, living in the USA 🇺🇸 for last 20+ years riding a Harley. Watching Noraly ride through South Africa make me so homesick and allowing me to look back and re-fall-in-love with the unique beauty of this Amazing part of the world. Noraly, thank you for all the trips down memory lane and for everything you do to promote riding, positivity, endurance and most of all South Africa.

Hi Noraly, I went to Cape Town in 1970, I was 21 and with my new wife on our way home to Australia from Germany, we were on a ship as in those days flying was far to expensive … anyway we went from Canary Islands down to Cape Town, I knew about Table Mountain & wanted to see it from the top. As soon as the ship docked we were off & got on the first cable car of the day ( they were just big metal boxes I remember ) when we got to the top we were reprimanded for travelling up with some of the staff ( who were black, we had never experienced apartheid before. ). After only maybe half an hour the cloud dropped but we got some photos, no one else got to see the view that day because of the cloud ! On our way back into town we saw the massive black / white division that was in South Africa in those days ….. I really want to go back and see S.A. & Cape Town again …. From your video it looks amazing …. Thanks for showing places in such detail and un-biased perspective …… your travels are an eye opener ….. cheers from Australia ( p.s. I bought my first motorbike in 40 years after watching Itchy Boots for so long & yes it is a RE Himalayan …..

To the SA Tourism Ministry: Let me tell you, until Norally, I never thought, SA has such a beautiful landscape, which I believe is kind of giving Swiss a run for it money! SA is my next destination for visit, pending approval by Covid-19. SA is a heaven which was grossly under promoted compared to many other places on earth. SA Tourism, stop Noraly leaving SA and request her travel a bit more in SA itself! It is unpaid advertainment for you! :-)

You can extend your visa - people do it all the time. The mountain is Lion's Head (for pretty obvious reasons) - the body of the lion is called Signal Hill, because that is where they have a signal gun.

David at Cape Bike Tyre/Overland Motorrad is fantastic, especially as his workshop is about 2oo meters from my house ! Very helpful and top class workmanship. Juanita is a lovely soul too. Glad you had a ride around our neighbourhood and enjoyed the sights we normally take for granted. Pity about not going up the mountain but yes, you will have to return to do it another time. Safe travels...

I could listen to you talk about geological formations all day long. So nice to see people talk so passionately about what lights their fire ☺ Actually, that could be a whole different line of videos, where you talk about specific geological intrigues for us to relax to 😄 but that's probably a lot of talking for you 😬🤷‍♂️ Stay upright young lady, safe travels.
