Hi folks! This time you will see me restoring an very old personal weighing scale. I had a lot of good time restoring this beauty and I hope you will enjoy the video. The process took me almost 12 days. Thank you all for your support and enjoy watching! PS: More details about this bathroom scale in the description. Cheers!

This scale greatly deserved to be patiently restored: it was designed to survive several wars! It has just regained a new life expectancy of at least another century, bravo! The use of the mirror is something I've never seen before...

Im sure not much from this day and time eill last that long for future generations to clean up, repair, and reuse. Everything is do cheaply made now that almost everything we own is disposable. Things usef to be made to last. Glad there are people like you who will and enjoy refurbishing those old pieces. Thanks for sharing. You truly are devoted.

Almost 12 days! Wow! I can tell by the time spent that you really did love working on it. You could see day by day, the beauty emerge. Imagine something lasting 100 years! I suppose it resisted the elements and time because of the metal it was made of. It really did turn out beautiful and I was almost in a trance watching you do it! Thank you so much for doing this one and giving us a lovely, yet brief glimpse into the long ago past. You enjoy your Autumn coming on as well. ❤

That's true, but I'm trying my best to keep the original color even if sometimes I have to break this rule. It depends a lot if the item is mine or it is from a client. Thank you! 🙂

Thank you so much. Yes, the hardest is the newest project. I'm always jumping and choosing challenging things that I never did before, even though this makes me vulnerable a bit, and maybe sometimes things don't go as planned, but I know this is the single way of getting better at what I do. 🙂

Please don't be rude and read more about it. Did you observe that an 80+ kg guy stepped on it? Do you know what that means? A successful weld buddy. Lads around here on UA-cam are happy to keep 40-45 kg on a cast iron weld.
Preheating to 300 degrees C and a NiFe-Cl rod is more than enough.
