Thrill was their first hard rock song (and it saved the band), but Real Existence was the REAL start of the rest of the band's career, IMO. Much more similar to what followed: the thrashy energy, the changed second verse, Akane going nuts, etc.
At this point; ・MISA is still using 4 string bass. ・MISA is basically barefoot inside the temple. ・Kanami using Addictone guitar. ・Miku using Rickenbacker guitar, playing more complex bits than before. ・Akane has a tiny hat on. ・Saiki still using mic stand. ・The song was provided to them. ・They are in second generation of their maid costume (battle armer).
There is an official live version of this too. And it's fckin epic! When you do "Don't Let Me Down" look up the lyrics after you have watched it. I dare you!
I would not say Thrash influenced more of punk and alternative influenced, but then again Thrash was punk influenced. Nowadays they've added more progressive rock into their songs or more complicated elements musically. "Hard rock punk prog" :)
The LIVE version is even better! But if you like Thrash try 'Rinne'. Not the LIVE on that one but the OMV. Same for 'Shambles' 'Blooming' and 'Unleash'. But usually the Official LIVE is the definitive version, just not on those songs.

If you haven't already heard "Don't Let Me Down", I recommend you watch the video, then look up the lyrics, then watch it again.
There are gems on their albums that aren't in the videos. I encourage everyone to buy the physical product. The live version of this is a face melter.
