Hearing Band-Maid LIVE and in-person is a superior sonic experience because the instruments are more discrete, it's less complicated (by not having multiple studio guitar tracks, etc.), and no overall (mastering) compression. Akane can insert the double pedal in such tasty ways that your mind has trouble comprehending it. And this song is about a woman who is love with a cheating husband. She is the affair partner, and she wants the man, but knows he will never leave his wife. And everything she sees reminds her of him and their relationship. There is an acoustic version of this song as well. In this version she is angry spitting defiance at her situation, in the acoustic version she is singing her regrets and laments. I HIGHLY suggest you listen/react to the acoustic version from their 2018 Zepp Tokyo performance.
@KyleHammerREACTS Trust me, you will not regret it. The emotion that Saiki has in her voice as she sings is a gut punch. Very few singera can give that kind of performance. And Saiki is one of them. A few others would be Pat Benetar, Nancy Wilson, Dolly Parton, Theresa Straley.and I am sure forgetting others.
@kent-oveprestberg3578 Ann is also an excellent singer. But so is Nancy. However, Nancy has a lower range than Ann, like Saiki has. I believe Nancy is a Lyric Soprano where Ann is a Mezzo Soprano like Miku is. Ann just has more power in her voice that Miku doesn't have. I am not sure, but I think Miku has a half octave more range than Ann does, though.
The song is about falling in love with a married man and all the lies and deceit that entails. The song is an absolute masterpiece in my opinion. Now check out the acoustic version with just Saiki and Kanami. And have the tissues ready...

Tokyo Garden Theater is in Ariake, Tokyo..by the bay...I was at this concert (from UK)...Opening concert of their 10th Anniversary Tour.
