*I'm deaf in my right ear which is why I'm not wearing headphones. I know, it's a bummer not to get the panning sounds. It's also been a bummer to only have one ear my whole life for lots of other reasons, like, playing telephone growing up, I was terrible at it. But, I'll be ok, and I'm getting both channels in the earbud, thanks for your concern :)

Dude "smile" will be right up your alley. Also any of Chino's side bands like team sleep. The song "Ever" is one of the dreamiest/catchiest songs ever written.

Great vid as always man. Deftones song lotion is one of there most heaviest songs. Also chino has another band called crosses i think you would like them. Very 1950s horror movie sounds.
Jersh, please don't change a thing. The best reactions are felt, not verbalized. Not to take away from your analysis, as I find it to be top notch. I love that you listen and feel the song. A facial expression is worth far more than a verbal cue. Keep up the great work!
I don't know. To me, the facial expressions seem to be the same whether or not the song hits hard or not. The same wide eyed open mouth for most of the Deftones reactions just...they aren't that surprising.
@@Xeroforte no disagreement there Matt, however, there is authenticity in his consistency. I don't need to be surprised by a facial expression to know that it is authentic.
One of their most underrated songs, still great melody imo. *Risk* would be cool next. Keep 'em coming dude!

Total Request Live for a couple bucks per song reaction after the full Deftones' videos have culminated? I'd say there's about 8 widely regarded songs that you haven't gotten to.
there are about 4-5 mostly requested yet to come i think, for more obscure one offs that weren't as widely requested i haven't decided what i'm going to do yet, maybe live stream reaction
@@SuperJersh The thing is, many of these aren't really obscure the way the suggestions were made. Diamond Eyes' video has 16 million views. Bored has 8 million. Prayers/Triangles and Mein have 4 and a half. Phantom Bride was a moderate radio hit. A few others like Drive, Battle-Axe, and Risk are cult hits. I think live stream with a couple bucks (many would happily pay) per suggestion would make up the gap nicely.
bernman23 A lot of those are on the way :) as far as TRL paying for requests I won’t ever do that haha, the financial support is always optional anything I do for financial supporters will always be extra on top of normal reactions I do for youtube :)

During the production of SNW, the band were experiencing personal turmoil (divorces/addictions) as well as band issues which eventually caused the production to be drawn out longer than expected. It also them to nearly break up. To gain a sense of ‘peace’, Chino branched off to record Team Sleep’s debut full length and eventual tour. It caused even more drama because they were still in the midst of recording SNW.
So, it’s possible the song is a message to the inner-circle of family, band, band-crew about ‘sides’ during a low-point in their careers. Who knows.
