*I'm deaf in my right ear which is why I'm not wearing headphones. I know, it's a bummer not to get the panning sounds. It's also been a bummer to only have one ear my whole life for lots of other reasons, like, playing telephone growing up, I was terrible at it. But, I'll be ok, and I'm getting both channels in the earbud, thanks for your concern :)

I think you hit the nail on the head with your interpretation. If i remember correctly, this was also right around the time the band's future was uncertain. I think they were on the verge of disbanding.

When I come to think of that, I think Chi's accident may have had a part in putting them back together, after all.
@@joaov_ds he got the band to stay together before he died and when he died they basically became cemented together and didn’t disband

The lyrics are even more cryptic than most Deftones' songs. That's a possible interpretation. I take it as he feels alone and there's a hole in him. He's the Earth because he's so fat here.

You see in my mind it isn't that old but perhaps it's because I am!
That 2000s era poor CGI really doesn't age well at all! Also some very unflattering extreme close ups of Chino at a bad time in his life!
Chino's vocals and Stephen's riffs, even Abe's drumming get called out often. They all make their sound what it is, but people tend to forget Frank Delgado. Deftones songs without synth-work/samples and whatever else Frank does would sound bland and boring as he is the main guy for setting up the mood of the song and it's ambiance. Kind of an unsung hero
