    This is very dangerous sport for a newbie. I wrestled in the bar after 1 liter of beer. The guy was much bigger than I. I had a strentgh workout earlier that day at the gym so I was kinda warmed up. This guy knew the tricks and he damged my left shoulder a little bit. Now I have problem riding my bike. Probably I should avoid this bar activity in future.

    Please like this comment so others see it:
    I cannot stress this enough: MAKE SURE YOU KEEP YOUR SHOULDER IN LINE WITH YOUR HAND. YOU CAN VERY EASILY BREAK YOUR ARM IF YOU DON'T.
    This past weekend I was in an arm wrestling competition and in our final match my opponent's humerus literally snapped in half. It was horrifying. We were 15 seconds in, and he was in a defensive position (I was starting to pin him on my side). He rotated only at the elbow to try to bring his hand back to the starting position and created a lot of tension on his humerus. He needed to bring the whole shoulder down with the hand as well and lean *with* his arm, not isolate it. I learned from the ER doc this is incredibly common for amateurs. PLEASE PLEASE take my warning. :( I never want to see this happen ever again.

    1.5x times your weight only work if you have trained rotator cuff and proper wrist to begin with + a decent back pressure or big hand or both

    if that specific type of movement was in everyday bodybuilding I'm pretty sure the bodybuilder would've won regardless of whether he trained for hypertrophy or strength. Neuromuscular connection is very strict and that's why specific movements need specific training like arm wrestling

    Im sorry It's called arm wrestling but the rules allow you to basically use your entire body it just seems confusing to me. It's not really testing your arm strength when you use your feet your hips and your whole body. But hey i didnt make the sport up, the rules are the rules. Good video learned alot more about the sport of arm wrestling!

    • @bitchnigga880
      @bitchnigga880 7 місяців тому

      Then it simply shouldn't be called arm wrestling lmao 😂 that's how I see it. I think using techniques in arm wrestling is cheap. Just use your arms instead, really isn't that hard.

    • @Hello-jh1rq
      @Hello-jh1rq 5 місяців тому +2

      Well it's called football but you don't just use your feet 😂. If your arm strength is not enough, then your arm will simply open up and stay in place when you go down with your body.

      That was the whole idea of this segment, to create awareness about arm wrestling. I agreed to do this for CNA as i felt Valen has done Sg so proud, and him and his sport should get more exposure. It was never about fooling people, its just an inter-sports collboration.

      Don't waste time. This sport is not popular as it will easily cause injuries. Don't make much money too. Many of the professional armwrestlers from USA and Russia have injuries from this sport.
