Words of advice: on SATA questions, if you absolutely don't know it , DONT CHOOSE IT due to the +- scoring and STUDY FUNDAMENTALS.

So I took my NCLEX last month and failed. How do I know if I almost passed? I'm planning on retaking after the 45 days are up which is near already. It gave me the full 150 questions Most of it was medications. My CPR was 1 Above 11 Near 3 below

@@EllenDegenerate my biggest problem was timing. I was trying to get permission to test in a different state and by the time that came, the only date I could take it was in the middle of moving and I took it the day after I got home from my honeymoon and it was just a downward spiral from there.

hello, out of 7 ventilator alarms, the lecture only covers high pressure alarms and low pressure alarms. Is this because the Nclex only covers those two? Or is this an error?

7.4 is a normal pH so neither acidotic or alkalotic. You’re right, respiratory depression would lead to acidosis because you aren’t letting off enough CO2 which is an acid so if it’s stuck in your body/bloodstream you’d be in respiratory acidosis. If you watch the mark k lectures here on UA-cam they’re really great and helped me understand this concept better!!
Because in respiratory depression, you’re cells aren’t being perfused due to decrease in breathing. Decrease in ventilation leads to CO2 build up. CO2 is an acid therefore it leads to acidosis.
same here because first he said acidosis is less than 7.45 and alkolosis is greater than 7.45 but in the 1st half of the "FULLY COMPENSATED RESPIRATORY ACIDOS VIDEO" he said it's resp acidosis but the PCO2 AND THE BASE WHERE HIGH Shouldn't it have been Fully Comensated Respiratory Alkalosis?
This may be a silly question, but is this for the NCLEX-RN or NCLEX-LPN/LVN? It doesn't specify but by the looks of the questions it seems to be for RN. Thought i'd ask anyways.
I’ve learned it as 22-26, but depending on your country, the values might differ a bit. the questions will never ask for anything too close to the range anyways so it’s fine as long as you know it’s around 22-26/28 you’ll be okay lol

I figured it out - when we are dealing with acid base imbalances as ph goes up K goes down and alkalosis has certain s/ sx opposite to kalemias BUT for electrolyte imbalances not concerning acid base stuff- we stick to the other rules that Kalemias do the same, except for heart rate and urine output

I thought it was easy. My computer shut off at 87 questions. I took it Jan 4th graduated Dec 16th

look up a different lecture. That barely touched on it, as a a review.
Facing the NCLEX exams has been a real journey for my daughter too, and I get how tough it can be. Mrs. Taylor was my go-to for making it seamless.

You’re right, respiratory depression would lead to acidosis because you aren’t letting off enough CO2 which is an acid so if it’s stuck in your body/bloodstream you’d be in respiratory acidosis. If you watch the mark k lectures here on UA-cam they’re really great and helped me understand this concept better!!
Because in respiratory depression, you’re cells aren’t being perfused due to decrease in breathing. Decrease in ventilation leads to CO2 build up. CO2 is an acid therefore it leads to acidosis.
same here because first he said acidosis is less than 7.45 and alkolosis is greater than 7.45 but in the 1st half of the "FULLY COMPENSATED RESPIRATORY ACIDOS VIDEO" he said it's resp acidosis but the PCO2 AND THE BASE WHERE HIGH Shouldn't it have been Fully Comensated Respiratory Alkalosis?
This may be a silly question, but is this for the NCLEX-RN or NCLEX-LPN/LVN?
It doesn't specify but by the looks of the questions it seems to be for RN. Thought i'd ask anyways.
I feel like everything online is mostly for RN to tell you the truth .
Tweak the iv, delegation, ekg part and I honestly think it's the same thing.
And blood transfusion.

I’ve learned it as 22-26, but depending on your country, the values might differ a bit.
the questions will never ask for anything too close to the range anyways so it’s fine as long as you know it’s around 22-26/28 you’ll be okay lol

simple nursing says the complete opposite for hypokalemia,,,
I noticed that and so does mark k say - kalemias do the same except HR & urine output
I figured it out - when we are dealing with acid base imbalances as ph goes up K goes down and alkalosis has certain s/ sx opposite to kalemias BUT for electrolyte imbalances not concerning acid base stuff- we stick to the other rules that Kalemias do the same, except for heart rate and urine output
