EASY HOMEMADE AVOCADO OIL MAYO | Homemade mayonnaise

- This avocado mayo is easy to make, and is so much cheaper and tastier than store bought! Once you make it you will never buy the grocery store stuff again!
Ingredients:
2 fresh egg yolks
1/2 tsp Dijon mustard
1 teaspoon white whine vinegar
1/2 tablespoon lemon juice
1/4 tsp salt
1 1/4 - 1 1/2 cups avocado oil
Method:
Add all ingredients to the immersion blender jar, adding the oil last. Allow ingredients to settle for a minute. Place immersion blender into jar and hold firmly to bottom of jar while mixing for the first 10 - 15 seconds. When 10-15 seconds have passed, and you can see that the mayo is coming together, slowly move the blender around to incorporate more of the oil. Keep moving the mixer until all of the oil is incorporated. The mayo can be stored in an airtight container for about a week.
If you don’t have an immersion blender, you can make this by hand with a bowl and whisk. Whisk together all ingredients except the oil, and SLOWLY whisk in the oil, a few drops at a time at first, and gradually adding more as the mayo comes together until all of the oil has been added and they mayo has thickened.

It’s just making a soup, could you maybe explain what exactly you’re doing after holding it at the bottom, because once I move it up and down like you do after the 10 - 15 seconds at the base it just mixes into a soup

To make it a little white I'd ad some water
Try adding actual avocado.. it will look better and taste better!

@@juzanajaafar2152 honestly I would use 1/2 of avocado. Or if you like thicker mayo that more of a spread type use 1 full. Now I would not use fl avocados that are more “ watery” taste but hass /haas. Those have more oil content. I am growing few in my back yard and “oily “ avocados are used for guacamole and lighter or Fl avocados are more for cut up in salads. Either way they are healthy and good for you! 😀

I don’t have an immersion blender. Can I use a frother or regular blender?
This isn’t avocado mayo. This is regular mayo using avocado oil. Avocado mayo is made with avocados and oil 👀
