Absolutely, I see massive discounts on Tundras in Ontario-$8-10K off for Limited trims and even more for higher ones, before negotiations.Dealers have multiple Tundras in stock, unlike other models. I used to like this channel, but it seems they’re now making Toyota marketing videos after the Tacoma’s failure. The new lineup is just nice toys, not real machines. People buy them as they do Nissans with CVTs, Hyundais with failing engines, or American brands despite reliability issues. It shows how uninformed buyers trust brands. Toyota seems to bank on this, as they should , it is a business after all. I’d pick a previous-gen Toyota truck any day. The new hybrid and turbo models lack long-term value, and I work too hard to waste my money like that. If I needed a truck, I’d go for a Frontier or a V8 F-150-simpler, reliable, same fuel economy, and better tech in base trims. Toyota isn’t about value anymore; they just sell their name
@andy… Not bitter at all but if you watch the 2023 Tundra TRD Pro video doing ditch crossing and off roading on this channel then you will see it didn’t do well at all. It peeled off a front bumper at ditch crossing and struggled at other points of the course. Another channel bought a long term TRD Pro when it came out. Tested off roading and it struggled. They got rid of it in record time for them, within three months I think. The resale value of the newest gen Tundra is literally lower than the previous gen Tundra. ON THE SAME DEALER LOT at THE SAME TIME, selling side by side with same mileage on them.
Once they get all the engine issues straightened out this will be a good truck to purchase but after watching all the engine replacements on these I would wait a few more years. Some tundras are actually on their 2nd and 3rd engines.
This generation has been out 3 years and is still having problems. Between turbo wastegate issues, broken axles, and “metal shavings” causing catastrophic failures, the design is either flawed or Toyotas manufacturing team is incompetent. Only fanboys think this is acceptable, but fanboys (of any brand, not just Toyota) also don’t have brains…so there’s that.
I’ve had all three generations of Tundra, I currently own a 2023, not in the recall range. The only thing I have heartburn about is the looming anxiety over the engine. Every I look into getting rid of it for something else, including going back to a 2nd gen, it just doesn’t make sense, financially of course but for the one or two quirks, mine has been solid. I got a SR5 premium off road so I could have the nice interior, but none of the extra tech, just the meat and potatoes. My 2007 I bought from a lease turn in 2011 and drove it for 12 years, this truck is far superior to it. We are about to watch GM recall over 800,000 trucks over the 6.2 engine failures, that does cover a larger range of years and doesn’t excuse the poor reliability of modern trucks, but 3rd gen owners should coin their blessings that there are few things that are issues with these. Only owners of 3rd gens know this, the rest are critics with zero first hand knowledge, or disgruntled owners/ex owners. As we always said in the technician world, one happy customer tells maybe tells a friend or too, a dissatisfied customer tells the world.

When Ford, Ram GMC, has an issue, that's kinda the norm people would expect. Nobody's surprised. But when Toyota has a critical issue, it's gonna get scrutinized under a microscope. I talked to a Tundra owner and asked him why he chose a Tundra over some other options from the American big 3. He said he was aware of the engine issue, and luckily, Toyota is too. He was disappointed that this was happening to Toyota, but at least Toyota owned up to it. If he bought a Tundra he knew he was covered, but if he bought an F-series/Sierra/Silverado god knows what the F is gonna go wrong and how many times he need to pay out of his own pocket to fix them
No, the interior in my 2024 is much cheaper material. It is holding up fine, but just a cheap look and feel. I am really impressed by the powertrain and mileage.
Tundra prices in Canada have skyrocket. I bought a 2021 Tundra with leather for 56K and now it's 76K. You can only get a SR5 Tacoma now for 56K. Toyota lost me because I bought a 2024 Trail Boss diesel to replace the Tundra. I looked at a used 2022 Tundra to see how it was holding up and it was falling apart. QC is gone at Toyota.
I liked mine, but there were still quite a few quality issues even for the 2024 MY. And they need to do something about the excessive wind noise. Cheap door seals and single pane glass are a pass for an $80k USD truck. Cooled seats are useless. Fake engine sound is too loud and can't control the volume. Buggy AA/CP. Other things like that do add up. And at this price point, Toyota can do better.
Dealers have slashed prices just to move inventory, offered huge deals to trade in 2021 and below models so of course it’s huge sales to an already low selling truck. No interest from me and my 2021 until they add any kind of v8 or inline 6 option.
The v8 Tundra 2018 and up are selling like hot cakes with low miles, I was offered what I paid for my 2019 (6 years ago!) and 90k miles, yes the dealer offered me 45k as a trade to get their 2024 TRD Tudnra that has been sitting for months on the lot. They had over 50 Tundras just collecting dust. I do not believe the Tundra sales numbers coming from anyone, there has got to be cooked books here and they are counting dealer sales or something. I test drove and rented 3 of them and didn't like any compared to my 2019. The turning radius alone was a deal breaker. Just for info, I have a Shiftpower plug on my pedal set to 35% and my torque is just as good as the new engine.
Just purchased recently, went with a 3.0L GMC Sierra, but really wanted to go Tundra. Test drove one, was smooth as butter. However, they were pushing their financing incentives heavily, with probably helped with their sales, but you had (according to them) to purchase at TSRP, and I pay my trucks off quickly. So, my guess is, many purchased with great rates, but will be upside down quickly.
Good to avoid that dealer, they are a liar. The Tundras in my area - negotiate the best deal you can get and you still get the financing from Toyota at a low rate. My 2024 was -3K from the dealer (this was a year ago) and -2K from Toyota AND I got 1.99% for 48 months from Toyota Financial.
Who in the world is investing this kind of money on a vehicle? Taking a second mortgage? I know folks CA do not have this kind of free cash. Here the US the interest rates for a new vehicle are horrendous.
Based on consumer reports the 24 tundra os dramatically improved in reliability and I would expect the 25 to be even better. Curiously though, all the other truck manufacturers have also been working on things and the most reliable is, amzingly, the Ford F-150. Behind that is likely the chevy silverarado and the gma sierra although they need better data separation to see/explain that. Ram looks to be about average.
The looks there, the engine is not. Tundra fans, real tundra fans, want a v8. If they put the v8 in this truck, and brought back stuff that made the tundra amazing like reclining rear seats and other tundra goodies, then it’d be a tundra. This is a f150 and Chevy wanna be with turbos.
@ really? Like how the Tacoma just went turbo too? Like Ranger already had. lol Toyota is not the same anymore, had the crown for best trucks and decided to go for sales over reliability. Have your sales crown wdgaf?
Only stupid ppl will buy these crappy Toyotas. Stop buying and they’ll stop making these turbo engines. Simple economics folks. Bunch of betas drive these vehicles.

Great! So they are responding to the problem with the 3.5 twin turbo. But why didn't they first learn something about reliability from the company that's sold millions of 3.5 twin turbos in trucks for almost 15 years?
That so many people are buying from a brand that literally gave the middle finger to people for almost 2 years, before being forced into a recall is an indictment on how bad the choices are across the board.
Nice truck, and I have owned a number of Toyota trucks, but now with a 2024 F150 Raptor 37 package, the Tundra just doesn’t compete on capability, tech or comfort. Reliability is below the 3.5 Ecoboost from Ford which has been more or less perfected.
You guys nailed it. Yes, there were clearly issues with the new TTV6, but Toyota handled it in a manner that sought to make the customer whole as best possible. That buys tremendous loyalty from existing customers while engendering them to prospective new customers.
Engine problem, no 4A, no underseat storage for hybrid, no power on board with hybrid, very basic tailgate, worst leave and departure angle, no second glove box on the dash, etc. Worst truck in the market, oh and the interior is lacking a lot of feature and the pricing is a joke

Dealerships are full of these in stock When a vehicle is just sitting on the lot the temptation to buy is there If one went back to the previous gen then there were never many at dealerships
My problem with this truck is it is the ugliest front end vehicle on the road. It is the ugliest front end of any car of any SUV or truck that I have ever seen. It has a face only a mother could laugh and I think this mother even thinks it’s baby face is ugly.
Wouldn't take a new tundra even if you paid me. It's proven to be one of the biggest pos complete junk .Don't care that it's a Toyota junk is junk ....
You should always end the video with "Not as fun as a RAM 1500, but fun enough" --- I'm also addicted to the RAM box, the perfectly rectangular bed, and the multifunction tailgate. If I never used the truck bed, Tundra would be great.
As consumers we should NEVER compromise. Be critical, especially with over $100,000 CDN at stake. No truck is perfect but personally I would not jump into a Tundra deal until I was certain that the engine issues are resolved, which may take years. I would also never consider a used one 2022-2024, ticking time-bombs as far as I’m concerned.
Your dad is absolutely correct on finding problems and correcting them in the proper manner. That is exactly why I buy Toyota. Trucks have problems, is how you fix those problems is what sets them apart
Tundra still doesnt have the feature other trucks do for lower cost. Toyota can bank on relaibility andmore to cover for lack of options and inflated prices. Ive had 3 toyotas and dont see me buying one again with the business model of the last few years.
It might be a nice truck, I just find it very unattractive, and I don't care for the dash layout. It's a great color though. I think Ford has the cleanest looking half tons right now.
As with Kia and Honda, Toyota will find a way to weasel out of recalling every model year, and covering every issue that has or will arise. Plus, they will put time limits on recalls. If you rarely drive your truck, then issues may not arise til after recall period is over.
It’s very obvious the Ford & GM people that are bashing Toyota in the comments. Only difference is that Toyota actually owns up and fixes their mistakes. GM has had faulty failing “active fuel management”, transmissions & apparent even engines for well over 10 years and they will NOT repair anything because they go out between 90,000 & 120,000 miles. Ford has 2.7 ecoboost that are dropping valves and they will NOT do a recall. They say to bring your 2.7 by and they will inspect it yet their inspection doesn’t involve anything other than looking under the hood. FYI, you can’t predict a valve dropping without removing a valve cover. They also had spark plug and cam phaser problems with the 5.4 Tritons yet did nothing. And let’s not forget the Dodge transmission failures of the 1990’s. Most of them didn’t even make it to 60,000 miles yet they did nothing. Anyways, look in the mirror before you start bashing Toyota.
Man you guys just lost me! I am unsubscribing. Your are bought! Everyone knows it’s an absolute dumpster fire you’re doing damage control for Toyota and that is sick and wrong. Goodbye
I thought the front end styling would grow on me. It hasn't. They look good jacked up with big tires on them, but I still think the front end is out of proportion. They have taken the grill size over the line. JMO

Who in the world is investing this kind of money on a vehicle? Taking a second mortgage? I know folks CA do not have this kind of free cash. Here the US the interest rates for a new vehicle are horrendous.
People who can afford it
I still don't like the look of the new gen Tundras. Only ones I've saw that look good are ones people put aftermarket parts on.
Not enough time to tell yet
thats just purely false the 2024 and 2025 are still blowning up / having main bearing problems check out any tundra forum
@@vfate9786the amount of engines that have actually failed is less than .5%, probably the same as all the other manufacturers.
I saw gladitor and Wrangler selling for 130g in Canada
Have they lowered the pricing??? I don't see how they could have increased sales without lowering pricing.
Do YOU HOMEWORK PEOPLE DONT LET THESE DEALERS SCREW U & SELLS R DOWN...(OVER PRICED)
You guys need to STOP kissing Toyota's ass after that clutch crap!!!!!!
I bought my 2025 Tundra trd pro in same colour and boy I love it
Seme color off my 25 TRD pro love ❤️
Nobody is paying sticker, not even for a Toyota.
Like the Ranger and Colorado wanna be Tacomas.😊 Highest selling midsized truck in 2024 and will continue.
@ really? Like how the Tacoma just went turbo too? Like Ranger already had. lol Toyota is not the same anymore, had the crown for best trucks and decided to go for sales over reliability. Have your sales crown wdgaf?
Tacoma highest selling midsized truck in America over 20 years. 😅 Like i said and will continue.😊
Only stupid ppl will buy these crappy Toyotas. Stop buying and they’ll stop making these turbo engines.
Simple economics folks. Bunch of betas drive these vehicles.
@@highplainsdrifter9849 and like I said, no one gives a rats ass. You have it. Less reliable now anyways. Already seen two in the shop 😊😊😊 your cringe emotes. Beta male.
UNPREDICTABLE! Is more like it and that’s why I bought an 10 year/100K extended warranty for my 22’ (engine a 2025).
Great! So they are responding to the problem with the 3.5 twin turbo. But why didn't they first learn something about reliability from the company that's sold millions of 3.5 twin turbos in trucks for almost 15 years?
Fords 3.5 eco boost has had its own problems and apparently the 2 engines are quite differently built.
That so many people are buying from a brand that literally gave the middle finger to people for almost 2 years, before being forced into a recall is an indictment on how bad the choices are across the board.
Exactly!
🤔🤣🤣🤣
Engine problem, no 4A, no underseat storage for hybrid, no power on board with hybrid, very basic tailgate, worst leave and departure angle, no second glove box on the dash, etc. Worst truck in the market, oh and the interior is lacking a lot of feature and the pricing is a joke
THESE 2 GUYS ARE BLOWING SMOKE UP YOUR BUTTS TUNDRA & TACOMA ARE (NOT SELLING) THEY R OVER PRICED THAT Y THEY ARE AVAILABLE 2022 & BACK IS THE BEST TOYOTA TRKS U CAN BUY
Toyota Tundra 100,000 recall. Worst sales on Toyota trucks ever. Ruined the Tundra and the Tacoma. Who can afford these?
Yeah you should show a little bit of respect to people and stop lying Tundra sales are not hot at all they can't even tell them!!!!
I love my 2024 tundra limited TRD off road 4x4 it came with the 3inch lift from factory and I am well pleased with this truck just fantastic rig in every way
Dealerships are full of these in stock
When a vehicle is just sitting on the lot the temptation to buy is there
If one went back to the previous gen then there were never many at dealerships
I liked this video until I seen it didn’t have a V8
My problem with this truck is it is the ugliest front end vehicle on the road. It is the ugliest front end of any car of any SUV or truck that I have ever seen. It has a face only a mother could laugh and I think this mother even thinks it’s baby face is ugly.
true, here in Vancouer I am seeing more new tundras and also taoma's
Haha they wish Toyota still sitting in lots or trade in California but the Nissan titan all gone and sold v8 💪
I wish Toyota made trd pro with 6.5ft bed too. Anyway such a cool truck
Wouldn't take a new tundra even if you paid me. It's proven to be one of the biggest pos complete junk .Don't care that it's a Toyota junk is junk ....
They’re not selling at all here in NJ. Matter of fact the local as l dealership is closing up.
I cant believe people are buying them with the engine disaster that model has. This isnt the Toyota of old we all loved.
Buy any truck with a turbo engine and you will only have regrets. Don’t forget if it’s not made in Japan quality control suffers too…
Japan build quality isn't any better than anywhere else now. It's the same manufacturing and assembly process everywhere. Only difference is suppliers
That isn't true in at any of the Toyota dealers near me, they have lots of 2024 models sitting on the lot, so they are no different that many mfgs.
1200 payload.. A Ford Maverick and Hyundai Santa Cruz can carry more.
Well when it comes to real trucks Toyota never even enters the chat
Nagyon SUPER videó lett ez is mint a többi👍❤️❤️❤️Szia👍😊
nice truck but way too expensive … also dislike that it has no 4 auto
I will wait for the 2026, and keep my 2018 for now.
Nah im waiting for the 2030 so im keep 4runner 2018 😂😂
😄 “Toyotas a consistent performer.” Funny they didn’t mention 100,000 engines being replaced. I guess the money was too good to pass up this year.
You SHOULD WATCH THE VIDEO before you cock off! They mention it several times! WOW!
Covering up Toyotas failures
Kindly read description on this video. Also watch this part 4:48 where they mentioned it.
So what’s it like to be bitter because your dead broke and can not afford one. Poor bitter dead broke loser.
they fixed the blowing up engines?
It might be a nice truck, I just find it very unattractive, and I don't care for the dash layout. It's a great color though. I think Ford has the cleanest looking half tons right now.
As with Kia and Honda, Toyota will find a way to weasel out of recalling every model year, and covering every issue that has or will arise. Plus, they will put time limits on recalls. If you rarely drive your truck, then issues may not arise til after recall period is over.
Made n Mexico and over PRICED
Why no tow hooks in the front?
Color looks amazing. I hope Toyota fixed issue with this engine. Great review. Greetings
That truck montage in the beginning has some fantastic 80's romcom hook up scene music lol.
The public isnt educated because they are assuming by default Toyota makes the 1 million mile and that was true in the previous generation.
My 2022 Tundra Limited 4x4 the engine blew @ 28,000 miles. Totally lost my ass on that truck.
Excellent episode as always!!! 😁
Great sarcasm bro😂
Man you guys just lost me! I am unsubscribing. Your are bought! Everyone knows it’s an absolute dumpster fire you’re doing damage control for Toyota and that is sick and wrong. Goodbye
No doubt so disappointing
I thought the front end styling would grow on me. It hasn't. They look good jacked up with big tires on them, but I still think the front end is out of proportion. They have taken the grill size over the line. JMO
Can you realistically tow 11000lbs with only a 1200lb payload capacity???
Nope
Realistically, yes. Technically, no.
Tundras n Tacomas are stacking up on dealer lots everywhere! Every dealer I've seen... cannot sell Toyota Trucks right now...
Not sure about Tacos, but Tundra sales are way above any year with the previous gen.
@gooldenwending it's hard to believe...with dealer lots so full...
@@warrendonaldson4144 or maybe they’re just making a bunch more to meet the demand? Sales numbers are pretty straightforward metrics. Just counts of sales.
Who the hell can afford these..i make 150k a year canadian and i cant afford one of these lol
Theyre also HIGHLY stolen in ontario, insurance rates on them are really high
Where I live, the dealer lots are full of Tacomas and Tundras! Nobody wants them, they are garbage!
Nobody is wanting that damn truck anymore 🤣🤣
is that why they are having record sales?
@Billsfan1972 just remember, a .0000001% sales increase year over year is also considered record high sales.
Sales aren’t hot
🤣🤣🤣Who paid you???🤣🤣🤣
Still a crappy vehicle. Nothing has changed. There’s still reported engine failures.
They changed the engine manufacturing process in jan of 23. The engine problems were caused by not getting machining debris cleaned out of engine block during manufacturing. Toyota engineers investigated the issue for over a year.
Isn't toyota the one with metal shavings in engine?
No auto 4wd.
I’m sorry guys but you are not fooling me. My coworker bought a 24 limited over the summer and he has had nothing but trouble with it. No thanks on a TT GDI engine. V8 Yes.
140,000 on my 2014 f 150 3.5 ecoboost put on every miles and on original turbos lol
Garbyge engine
Wait..they shifted all Tacoma production to Mexico??
Now you understand why your new Tacoma you just bought last month has great build quality. 😃
They been in Mexico for years
Been there a long time. Nothing new.
I’ve seen Mexican built tacoma trucks with well over 200k
