TRD Pro is a desert runner. Aimed at high speed off-road. It’s also more of an enthusiast trim. The Capstone or 1794 has all that leather and luxury you’re saying you prefer. Better towing also. Off-road trims sacrifice towing for a better ride off-road.
Jenna - Ive no use for all that Foo-Faw tech complexity and for $80,000 - heck NO. Plus they totally screwed up the styling on the new generation - it looks like a Chevy photocopy lol. I'd look for a 10-15 year old well maintained one & drive happy & debt free. My current truck is my 2002 Mercedes Benz ML500 (all SUVs are trucks) and it's refreshingly free of excess tech - runs like a champ - and tough as nails. Good for you at trying a full review ! Janna =) Thanks for the great review I love a great set of headlights and backside😈that color with a lift and 35" A/T tires would turn this rig into an off-road beast . Can't wait to see you build it out🤙
I really love that color!!! And I'm also loving how they upgraded the suspension and also rims and tires. Interior is definitely an upgrade, but being a 2021 second gen Tundra owner, as beautiful as that truck is, it won't outlast the previous gen tundras. I wish Toyota could have stayed with a 5.7 V8. I understand they're trying to make modifications for gas conservation, but it's only two to three miles per gallon, and putting turbos on an engine as good as Toyota is, you're putting pressure on that engine and wearing it down faster.
The hybrid does not completely shut off after that speed, it does kick in while on the freeway occasionally when just coasting along and can kick in for torque when you hit the gas. The intent of it is to mitigate turbo lag and add torque.
Awesome, thanks for watching! I'm glad you're enjoying it as much as I am. I never was really much of a car girl but the more I get the F outside, the more I'm enjoying the vehicles that get me to all the cool places I want to go. Any vehicle you want me to review next?
I have a 21, and was looking to upgrade. However, after looking at several 23 and above Tundras, I have to say that I am extremely disappointed with the quality of the interior materials. They seem to have chosen the cheapest, flemsiest plastic they could possibly find. Everything squeaked or rattled, especially the center console lid. I expect better from Toyota, especially for a truck that starts at $50,000.
I have the same truck in black. Wait till you hit 3-4000 miles and the mpg will go up. The engine has to break in. Your odometer only has a little over 530 miles on it.
These new tundras are attractive and I love them but to be fair ford with the 2011 f150 raptor started the huge FORD in the grill trend that now everyone loves. Also, not sure how wide this truck is, but the three amber lights on the front were required to be there on the raptor due to your width, it was requirement when a vehicle is wider than 80 inches. There actually many who feel it should be illegal to put them on front grill when a vehicle is less than 80” wide as it is miss leading to the original use of them. But that’s where those two trends started.
I want to know what did Toyota do to fix the Bearing issue in the V6 or did they? I would not touch 3 Gen Tundra until I see one go 3 or 400, 000 miles!! Just saying and plus $80G RIPoff
It's true, I was very disappointed to see that too. However, I did ask Toyota about that and I was told that it takes some time for new vehicles to "earn" their claimed MPG... It's rare they come off the lot with the correct MPG I guess. So we will see what happens over time.
Next review the new 4Runner. The 2025 model 4R is the kickoff of the new 6th generation and will share the same 4cyl turbo engine and 8 speed transmission as the new generation Tacoma. But it may be a while before you can get your hands on one though.

I might cause an uproar with this, but I don't like the Raptor. I drove it and it felt cheap. I know there are different strokes for different folks but I just can't figure out what all the excitement over the Raptor is about.
@@TitanGixxer because they make real trucks and it's been their bread n butter forever. Toyota makes great reliable sedans and used to make decent small trucks. But it isn't what it used to be.

Yeah, it really is a problem. I keep petitioning congress to extend the day to 48 hours so I can get all my work done but, alas, they won't. Something about it screwing up the number of hours our elected officials are allowed to work in a month - I believe they said it was a maximum of 2.

Do yourself a favor and stay away from these new tundras completely. They're not in a major lawsuit for nothing.
80k for a flashy lemon? No thanks. Dealerships are going to fill up their lots with these depreciating hunks of poop. Do yourself a favor and buy a slightly used v8 Tundra built before 2020. You'll have a truck that'll last x10 longer and cost a 1/4 of the price. You're welcome.
Hey, everyone has their preferences. I love the new truck, but I do respect the value proposition of the older ones. And let’s acknowledge that Toyota has one of the highest resale values.

@fandibus I would do some more research if I were you, and I definitely wouldn't take Toyota's word for it- they wanted to pretend it was limited to the 22-23's, but there have continued to be reports on 24s and even a 25 already. Believe what you'd like, the numbers just aren't looking real great for this gen. Plus, would you even trust that motor long term considering it was suffering from catastrophic failures at low miles? Once your truck is out of warranty, good.luck.
You never had it off road in this video. How can you comment on the capability Leaves on the road don’t count. Way too expensive and no more V8. Pass. And I’ve had Tacomas since 2001 and love my 2015 Sport but even Tacoma got away from V6. Shame on Toyota.
