How To Grow The Best Wheatgrass - Top Tips for Growing Wheatgrass at Home hippocratesinst.org/living-foo... - You can spend as little as $1 per week to grow your own wheatgrass juice at home. All you need is a wheatgrass juicer and growing supplies.
Our goal at Hippocrates is to make following this lifestyle at home as easy as possible; as such, the Hippocrates store has everything you need to begin growing right away, including seeds, planting trays, juicers, hydro-sol growing racks, full spectrum lighting. You can get our "How to Grow Wheatgrasstwo-hour DVD" here: www.hippocratesstore.org/root/...
    Growing Basics
    1. Soak your hard winter wheat seed (also called wheat berries) overnight (8 to 12 hours).
    2. Sprout the seed in a jar for the next 16 to 24 hours, rinsing the seed well three times a day.
    3. After a very short “tail” is visible, plant the seed on top of the soil. Basic potting mix or topsoil will work fine. Peat moss is an important ingredient to look for in your soil so if you have to add it, the mix is one part peat moss to three parts soil, filled halfway up a two-inch deep tray.
    4. Water the tray and then cover the seeds to keep them from drying out for the first three days.
    5. During the first three days of growth, water once a day in the morning and really soak the soil (until the tray drips is a good sign you are watering enough). Then lightly mist your seed in the evening (lift cover off to mist seed).
    6. On the fourth day, uncover grass (roots should begin to take over your soil), water heavily once a day and keep the grass in the shade
    (never direct sunlight).
    7. For mold problems, increase your air circulation with a fan or air conditioning to keep the temperature between 60 and 80 degrees
    Fahrenheit (21° to 26° Celsius).
    8. Harvest grass when a second blade of grass appears on the grass blades, or when the grass “splits” toward the bottom of the blade. Average growing time is seven to 12 days, depending on the weather, but still always watch for the second blade of grass as you can never judge by how many days it has been growing or how tall the grass is.
    9. Only harvest once. Cut grass will store in the fridge for about seven to 10 days or longer in Green Bags. Then start the process all over again with new seeds and soil.

This man KNOWS what he's doing. After following his directions to the T, I harvested the sweetest wheatgrass. I made the mistake of adding 1 Apple and 1 whole English cucumber and it was almost too sweet to drink. Next time I'll leave out the apple and make that 2 cucumbers to dilute it more. It has a stevia sweetness when you drink it straight up.
I always assumed it was nasty but boy was I wrong! It is delightful. Your mouth and body will thank you.

Went through the program twice. Highly recommend. At one point had almost 50 trays of wheatgrass and micro greens growing in my condo. Been on the road traveling the USA for over 8 months. Going to try and grow in my van while on the road!!

I live in my van and grew some. Its winter so the grass was stunted a bit but other than that it is doable. I also got a manual wheatgrass juicer to have my morning shot.

God bless you guys!!🙂 I’ve been raw vegan for a decade. Although I enjoy juicing celery, kale, spinach, parsley etc., I have never juiced wheatgrass because I have a severe allergy to grass. Therefore I cannot consume & gain the phytonutrient benefits of wheatgrass. Please let me know if this info. is accurate, or whether I’m mistaken (i.e., for my entire life I have not been able to be around “grass” without experiencing watery, itchy eyes; stuffy nose; itchy throat & ears)etc. It was so severe, that when I was younger I got desensitized (i.e., an allergist gave me shots-injections- in order to lessen the severity of my symptoms. It was about 80 percent effective. Therefore, now, I only experience the majority of these symptoms in the spring.......Unfortunately, I am also allergic to trees. Really sad, because I really enjoy nature. Thanks for the video clip. 🙏❤️👍🙂

I just juiced my 2nd batch of wheatgrass according to Hippocrates instructions, amazing flavor. The 1'st batch grown by other instructions, white mold had grown a lot, plus did use direct sunlight, no fan, grass hardly grew at all, had to throw it out.
I did the hydroponics for both batches.
However, the batch with Hippocrates on juicing day had the same white mold, not as bad, and I noticed these gnat like bugs kept getting into the grass. I'm guessing the trick is to grow and harvest quickly. This time I used a fan and a grow lite big difference.

In Ann Wigmore's book, she does it differently. She says to use a cafeteria tray or a gravel tray without holes. If you use one with holes you're going to need another tray under it to catch the water. She also didn't sprout it first. I wonder why they do it this way it seems like more work. Can I grow them on my indoor front porch where there are lots of windows, or would that be too much light? I guess that would be direct sunlight. I just have more room there.
