This series has been such a nostalgia trip lol I can only imagine the hilarity that would ensue with a Turok Evolution playthrough. Hope to maybe see that someday
I know it's the end of the campaign, but I would totally be down to see a few vids where it's just you playing against bots in multiplayer. Love your vids!
I remember playing split screen with my cousin all the time. I don't know when this game was out 15 years ago or more probably but when I discovered this channel it was the definition of nostalgia
even spyro had them!! it's not just the on rails shooters but any janky minigame with limited mechanics is just bound to cause frustration. maybe that's why i love the first spyro so much, it's fast paced and you never need to wait for the next segment.
I remember I always used to set up literally every trip mine you get from that armory where Rook spawns. He'd run into them and die immediately. Every time.
Here's some advice for Countdown. 1: I'm playing on the Xbox version which I think is the best version. So my experience with the controls could be different. Speaking of, I use Moonraker configuration. 2: Get AIMS before you enter the computer room. When Dwayne "The Rook" Johnson talks to the Phoenix commandos, keep the gun grenades handy and only fire them from a distance. Because they too use AIMS and you get grenades when you pick them up. So they basically bring the doom of their own allies into battle with them. Similarly, only engage Rook at a distance and use all the grenades you have against him. Finally... 3: Headshots. Lots of headshots. If you are good at headshots, use them as much as possible. I cannot recommend them enough especially with Samurai. Going back to the Xbox version in particular, yes, you can zoom in with that weapon, as I found out playing that version. Plus you'd look really cool lasering people in the head.
I'm reminded of the reload animations in Agent Under Fire. In the early levels you have removing/replacing the mag and charging the gun, but by the end you just vaguely wave the gun offscreen to reload. Either they got rushed or they ran out of money on the animation budget.
Agent Under Fire had a really, really short development time. At the absolute most it was something like nine months from when the team's previous project (a PS2 port of the PS1 World is Not Enough game) to the game's release, including the going gold (generally 1 month) and final QA pass process. It's amazing the game was as good as it was. Sub-year long development cycles that aren't tiny or effectively a new set of levels for an existing game generally turn out to be horrible.
@@kanrakucheese Likely a lot of the assets were already made and just repurposed from the prior TWINE port. Nigel Blok looks like a slightly changed Renard and Malprave a slightly changed Electra King. So the dev team more or less just had to make new levels. About the only thing that seems to suffer in the final product is the presentation, since a new story and cutscenes would’ve been the thing that couldn’t be repurposed. So that’s why there’s no gun barrel opening, pre-titles sequence, title song, or some of the other Bond flairs that were in Nightfire. Still impressive that Agent Under Fire was awesome, though.
I was never able to finish the last mission as a child and in fact this is the first time I've ever seen it, what nolgastic feelings this mini series has given me
Dude, let me tell ya, you're content is great. Super chill, and reminds me of 2017 Call Me Kevin. I absolutely adore 007 Nightfire, so it's great to see a full playthrough that I can watch before bed. I sense an explosion of subscribers coming your way soon, so wishing you well before the comments get too full for you to see this!
"James bond just dies, imagine. They should do that in one of the films." If only he waited a little longer to make this video, then he would have known.
I remember playing this game on my brothers console, but the second I heard "Transmitting Access code" I had like a memory wormhole and was sitting there as a 10year old playing it again!
When Micky blesses you with an hour long video, you know it's gonna be a good day. And man, this vid had so many great moments! From «I'm going to die!» to MILF-boss Kiko, Alura-Stanning (which I'm all for), A4 paper manufacturing, Rook holding the line, Alura's Facebook, «Hey now, doing okay now»... What a way to end the series! Frustration and all (and believe me, I felt that grenade to the door. I felt it worse than a cobbler in a wool factory [I dunno]). P.S. You're after making me want to play through all my old games, Mick. Tomb Raider, James Bond, Harry Potter, Spyro, Morrowind... If only I knew where my copy of PoA was... Well, I'm off to play some Jak II (those fucking side missions...). Cheers!
I’ve loved the whole series. Oddly enough you’re hitting all of my GameCube nostalgia (assuming you’re gonna do Goblet of Fire at some point too). The other Bond game I really enjoyed was The World is not enough
Didn't even notice until I was 50 minutes in that this was an hour long video. Props for the dedication and for keeping me engrossed that long without me knowing it
If you played jak and daxter, beyond good and evil and the rayman games then that would complete my childhood nostalgia trip! Love the videos either way!
Having never played this game before, I don't have any nostalgia for it, but it's been a great series and I'm looking forward to the next one! Cheers Micky D!
For some reason I don't really remember the last few missions (aside from the final mission in space). I was never able to beat the last mission when I was really little so I had to return to the game a few years later to beat it. These videos really took me to a trip down memory lane.
Ah Mr. D I am sad to see Nightfire go away. I hope to see Agent Under Fire in the future but I would also be interested in you gathering some mates and trying the multiplayer.
Not going to lie it’s nice how your channel has a wide variety of memes and games. Keep doing you Micky D and maybe you will be known as the channel of hidden gems of games like James Bond, morrowind and of course Harry potter. Be safe and keep making content you love. I am sure us fans can’t get enough of it.
Thank you for the Nostalgia trip with this series dude. I must admit while I loved the PS2 version for the car missions, Equinox on PC is far more better as it actually let's you explore the Space Station rather than a timed headache of disarming missiles.
So the gun with yhe grenade launcher is called the Heckler & Koch XM29 OICW Apparently it was horrid to use due to how complicated the grenade launcher was to use and how bulky it was.
The first mission is easily the best in the game. It feels like a completely different game tbh. Like all their ideas went into that. And the rest were like mehhhhhhhhh
ahh man the flying mission was cool 14:20 lol dudee I remember that the multiplayer rc helicopter, so cool 25:55 lol 47:18 sitting here like "does he remember you can charge up this gun"
You can actually take out the laser tripbombs in Countdown by using the camera to photograph the beams. Works at any range, so you can do it safely without expending any ammo.
@Kanraku I found it out through less than savory means - I took pictures of Kiko during "The Exchange" level, and noticed that it physically pushed her back. Logically, that means that it interacts with objects in the game world, so I tried it on trip mines, and it worked, 'pushing' the beams and setting them off.
the “im going to die” parts had me dying. i also can’t believe i was the only one who felt the same way about the “on the left” line too 😂😂
This series has been such a nostalgia trip lol I can only imagine the hilarity that would ensue with a Turok Evolution playthrough. Hope to maybe see that someday
God yes, please micky consider this
Couldn’t agree more !
THAT would be cool, a game I actually played as a kid
Turok was awesome. Forsaken 64 was okay, too.
Also, should try to play Treasures of the Deep on PSX...that game is infuriating.
I know it's the end of the campaign, but I would totally be down to see a few vids where it's just you playing against bots in multiplayer. Love your vids!
Aww man, him vs bots in gun game!
The multi player with the bots was so amazing in this game they really felt like playing other people online
I remember playing split screen with my cousin all the time. I don't know when this game was out 15 years ago or more probably but when I discovered this channel it was the definition of nostalgia
I wish games still had multiplayer modes with bots.
Just how I imagined back in 02’-05’, coming back from school and turning on the PS2 to play this game. Thanks for the memories, Micky D!

Not gonna lie I like the 1st mission in the helicopter, makes it good to jump into the story, plus you snipe at distance (sort of).
I remember I always used to set up literally every trip mine you get from that armory where Rook spawns. He'd run into them and die immediately. Every time.
