Your detailed video saved my bacon in reassembling my 702XP! I'm an expert on disassembling and reassembling and trying stuff until I found you. Now my gun is back in the pink! Thanks.
Glad to hear! Good job! Thanks for watching!
Thank you for taking the time to put this video together. Great job
Thanks for watching!
Thanks for the diagnosis and repair video greatly appreciated
Glad to help! Hope you got it taken care of
First thanks for putting the video together
I have a older 701 xp 2003 . I replaced parts and orings when I try to fire it air come out the exhaust pot on the rear of the gun. I’m lost as to why. Had it apart a couple of times. 😢
Is the rubber band style ring around the bottom of the cylinder? Also the hard plastic piece at the end of the head may be cracked or bad? Most times something is missing or broken in the head valve, outer o-ring on cylinder or trigger when this happens. Make sure head valve assembly pushes in and springs out freely, if one of the o-rings is pinched it causes this also
did a rebuild on a senco framepro 600 now it just blows air out the top when I pull the trigger?
Double check the trigger and head valve o-rings. Did you use OEM parts or aftermarket?
Incredibly useful video! Thank you!
Giving my sfn40 a tune up.
@@ascalia9 Needs a good one I am sure
Awesome! Thanks for watching!
Thanks for that, helped me work out an issue
Awesome! Good job getting it taken care of. Thanks for watching!
ild 2 of these and when done, both push air out the twin small holes on the top of the gun above the trigger. I'm guessing I assembled something wrong?
Sounds like a head valve o ring not sealing. What oring kit did you use?
Thanks for making this video! I’ve replaced all the o-rings I can but am still rather stumped.
When I pull the trigger I get a blast of air coming from where the trigger pin ends. There are two holes at the end of this area, basically a left and a right. This is not the exhaust port.
When I pull the trigger air is released and that is basically it.
I’m not sure if this is an o-ring issue or something internal at this point. Any thoughts would be much appreciated.
Normally and issue in the head when this happens. Make sure one of the Orings isn't pinched. Did you use an OEM or aftermarket kit?
@@IndRepair aftermarket. I’m thinking some of these o rings were not correctly sized. I saw you linked an o ring source in another comment.
Would you believe an o ring to be the issue more than any other possibility?
Definitely!
Hi! Were you able to repair your nailer? I have the same problem.. The valve seal amd top bumper were destroyed. After replacing them with oem parts i went to test it and all ai got a blast of air when pressing the trigger thru the two ports on the lower back of the head.. its a Senco 701xp. Any help will be greatly appreciated.
Great video. I just rebuilt my 701xp and somehow lost the return spring for the piece you bump on the board to fire a nail. I'm having a hard time finding a replacement.
Kb4249 should be the spring you need
@@IndRepair thanks
Thanks for making this video. In have a circa SN325 from around 1991 that I took out of moth balls. I did some repairs to it and its up and running again! I have attempted to run some of the 12d senco brand nails from the local lumber yard. 8d run great, 12d look like they are a touch too long. These nails are 34 degree. No one can seem to tell me if the new nails will function properly in my old SN325. Any advice would be greatly apriciated.
Sorry but I am not sure about nail choice unfortunately
Sir could you tell me what the grease and oil that is being used in this video. Thank you
We use Chemplex 710 grease amzn.to/3zAzTe4 and Paslode tool oil amzn.to/4dASBji
@@IndRepair thank you again...
Glad to help
Hi, thanks for the video.... Parts are not available for my northern tool framing nailer. Any chance of using o rings to get it working? Plastic parts in rear of tool failed. Tool is prob 25 yrs old but less than 100 nails through it. Thanks...
O rings in most nailer applications do not have to be exact so it is possible if you can find the right size it is possible. You can get assorted sizes for pretty cheap or measure and order 1 by 1 online
@@IndRepair Many thanks,.... Worth a shot, otherwise have to go in the dumpster. Challenge is... Ill have to replace plastic form fitting parts with o rings.... Thanks for taking time to reply...
Great video. I have a 701 xp that will double fire quite often, especially if I don't have the gun placed firmly on the wood surface. Any idea what is goin on with it?
Double fire is trigger or head valve o-ring issues almost always
Great video! I do have a question for you. I have a nailpro 600 that has an issue that has me stumped. No air leaking until trigger is depressed from two holes in the top cover, not exhaust. It fails to fire any nails under these conditions. Any help on where to look for problems would be great!
Hello there! Bad trigger o-rings or o-rings in the head are the only reason this will happen normally. I believe once I found a driver through the side of the cylinder and had this same issue also. Thanks for watching!
Good day, great video. I have a Framepro 700xl, I got it used. The plastic retainer BF0204 is breaking off pieces. Any idea why this might happen? Thanks for any help
Normally the o ly reason this happens is because the metal piece at the top of the cylinder is missing. Can you look up the parts diagram and confirm everything is actually there? I would bet something is missing
Thanks for sharing. Where in Illinois are you located? Thanks
Thanks for watching! We are in Bloomington, Il
Wonder what causes one not nail and air shoots back at your wrist pretty forceful?
Broke piston possible
@@IndRepair I'll check it out and see. Thanks for the reply back.
Good stuff!
I have a Bostitch nailer that fires 1 round when plugged in. Swapped trigger unit completely first. Do you guys think its just head valve o rings?
... Should have also said, nailer works great otherwise, is not bump fire. Its just the first time you plug it in have to make sure no nails in the magazine or goes shooting across the room.
Head valve issue is the most likely cause for sure! Thanks for watching!
Very well could!
Fantastic video. Thank you... Where can I buy a complete rebuild kit for a 702 XP? Opened it up and all the plastic rings were broken apart and in 100 pieces.
Thank you!! They sell the YK0243 and YK0244 rebuild kits online but do not sell a complete kit. I used to get aftermarket o-ring kits from www.theoringstore.com/ It does look like it shows them being out of stock but they show the 701xp rebuilt kits available and they are mostly the same kit. This is the only place I have ever gotten kits from that actually worked for these nailers. Every other place selling them the sizes do not match up
I am struggling a little bit trying to get my gun to work. All new seals etc. Pull trigger and air leaks out the hole behind the trigger rod in the end cap. Any ideas?
Many times there is a seal pinched or missing in the head valve when this happens. Also make sure your piston can move up and down freely
After rebuilding a frame Pro 702 XP and a frame Pro 600. When plugged up I have no leaks but when I try to fire it air comes out the hole above the trigger assembly what did I do wrong
Did you use an OEM or aftermarket kit on this? Sounds like a head valve issue...
Mine is doing the same! Any luck figuring it out?
@@kashfoster7851 Many times the seals in the head valve. Have you checked the o-rings or done anything to the nailer yet?
GOOD VIDEO SIR ...
Appreciate it
Senco pro finish nailer drive pin so stuck in the out position
Probably head valve or jam issue
Got a senco sn1 with a broken seal bought it replaced it but it won’t fire , is there a special position for the piston during reassembly ?
No, some of the older guns do need to be reset after reassembly. Remove all nails, push trigger safety into wood, pull trigger and hold it in while you hook up air. It should cycle soon as air is plugged un. Hope that helps!
Hi! I have a 701xp that doesn't leak but when I pull the trigger only air comes out. No nail. I installed a new o-ring kit and nothing changed. Do you know what might be wrong?
Is the piston/driver free to move up and down?
@@IndRepair Thanks for the reply! Just got it going a few minutes ago.
After taking it apart a dozen times over the last few days, it finally clicked that when I put the trigger assembly in the cap (instead of the gun itself), I could depress the pin with my finger and see its "head" pop out about 1 mm through the back side of the cap. When I would assemble it and pull the trigger, only air would come out of the hole where I had previously been able to see the "head" stick out when depressed. I popped the finger part of the trigger off and it fires every time when I depress the trigger pin directly.
I'll see later if I can adjust something to be able to re-install the finger part, but at least I'll be able to use it now. Thanks for the video!
Awesome! Great job! Thanks for watching!
@@vanhala7 what did you do to get it working?
@@joepski3418 Just a replacement trigger is all it needed
