- In this video, I will beat every version of Minecraft in 2 days. All 20 Major Updates in less than 48 hours.
Since Minecraft's first release in 2011, Mojang has released 20 major updates that have brought tons of new mobs, materials, and tools to the game along with transformations to the mechanics, sounds, and textures. The game has changed A LOT, but I've never been able to experience it.
As a new Minecraft player, I have missed out on so much history of this game, which is why, today, I will travel back in time to complete every update we've seen, 1.0 - 1.19.

I would call this a Minecraft All Versions Speedrun, but it's almost like a step up from RSG (Random Seed Glitchless) because the versions are random to me along with the seeds. For many of these runs, this is my first time ever playing minecraft on their versions.

The way you explain how you feel out of place due to the small things is pretty much how I feel playing current minecraft while being used to the old versions 😅

Fax I used to play a long time ago and now there’s stuff like hit delay, new nether biomes n mobs no right clicking with a sword to block, etc shit feels like a whole other game

The chills came in when the Subwoofer lullaby started playing. Minecraft came so far, man.
So far, but has managed to keep it's roots so well! That moment when C418 hit showed me that they've had some things right all the way from the beginning.
Another thing that I skipped over in 1.0 was the squid, the look and behave almost the exact same. So while I was stuck on that ocean seed, I had them keeping me company 😂

Man, this was nostalgic.. i started in 1.8 and just seeing you speedrun reminded me of every world ive abandoned mid play, on so many dif versions.. GG's and cheers to 1.19 👍
1.8 trap been playing for a minute! I'm glad you enjoyed it dude! Every survival world gets abandoned at some point, starting the new adventures is just too exciting! Just don't do it in the hardcore world 😂

I've played minecraft since 1.5, but played it very little despite having owned it for so long. I just never really got myself going with a survival world by myself, i just hopped on to see the updates. I'm surprised just how many players are new

I started super early, I don't remember exactly which version because I was a kid...it was probably between 1.2 and 1.4. Also your 1.0 run immediately reminded me that you've never played a version without swimming, it's such an underappreciated feature!
As someone who has been playing since Infdev back in 2009 I feel out-of-place in newer versions still. So many different recipes I had to memorize that the crafting book felt like an insult at first... now it's a handy tool when I forget the newer things that I want to craft.

The first version i played was something like 1.5 or 1.6 and i was very happy cuz my uncle cracked the game and i played like crazy. The nostalgia i get from theese old versions is amazing

him in 1.0 checking if he can make a shield was funny to me just because I'm a Minecraft historian, shields aren't added until 1.9, the combat update
Thank you for bringing all this nostalgia! I remember my first nether portal was made by pouring lava buckets in the ocean.
It was so fun to go back and see all of this, I wish I remembered my first nether portal I built myself 😭 my first trip I used a friends portal, and I do remember being terrified of piglins, so that's something at least 😂

The rapid crouch and and sword blocking Is nostalgic it was a dance.. and sometimes a dance of trust with other players it was a great time. I love the shield but the old blocking mechanic will forever be in my heart
This video was worth the wait, Now I want to go and try to beat Minecraft on all the versions but try on HC!

I liked this video idea, might check out your other videos later because I do like hardcore gameplay. Also from what I know 1.5 was the redstone update and 1.6 was the horse update.

Contemplate how the Roman Empire fulfilled the role of the beast from the sea in Revelation 13. Revelation 17 confirms that it is in fact Rome. From this we can conclude that A) Jesus is the Son of God and can predict the future or make it happen, B) The world leaders/nations/governments etc have been conspiring together for the last 3000+ years going back to Babylon and before, C) History as we know it is fake. You don't really need to speculate once you start a relationship with God tho.
Can't get a response from God? Fasting can help increase your perception and prayer can help initiate events. God will ignore you if your prayer does not align with His purpose (James 4:3) or if you are approaching Him when "unclean" (Isaiah 1:15, Isaiah 59:2, Micah 3:4). Stop eating food sacrificed to idols (McDonald's, Wendy's etc) stop glorifying yourself on social media or making other images of yourself (Second Commandment), stop gossiping about other people, stop watching obscene content etc and you should get a response. Going back to the OG versions of Minecraft always spark joy for vets like me
so nostalgic been playing MC for years started on the phone then ps3, psvita, ps4, and around Minecraft 1.8 was when i finally played on PC.
Man the nostalgia... I first played Beta 1.8.1 cracked when 1.0 was current and then bought the game in 1.2.5 and played until 1.10 then came back during the pandemic to 1.16
I started with Beta 1.8 but idr how
I later mostly played 1.4 because that was the latest pirated copy I could find as a kid, stopped playing around 2015 and then picked it back up with a legit copy in 2019
I think whats different about the Blaze's thats hard to put your finger on, is the fact that they're a different shade of yellow now
They seem to be more gold now vs the more desaturated look they had before
I miss the old version, 1.0.0, The music, it was so beautiful, we didn't care that much back then, now, its a memory, historical, for us now, but then, it wasn't really anything special for us, now we look back and wish we could see it one more time, wish some of us can, but I am in bedrock, I used to play on Mac, I wish I could see it one more time. Don't take things for granted, we only have one chance, family, life etc etc... Life is like a game of chess.

Well, 1.10 was not a bad version for me, instead it is one of my favorite versions because it was the first one I played. Later I heard that it added only a few things, but these things were awesone (magma blocks, polar bears, husks, strays, all the structure blocks...)

ayo! Im an OG player ! Im have playing since 1.4 (before hoppers were added). Its so nice to see u discovers old version of Minecraft ! The best version of Minecraft, for me, is 1.8 (before the angry shield update)
I've started watching minecraft as a kid from 2011 and playing it around 2013. Played almost every version after release, and for every version I have its own memories. Don't play new versions much though, I think the last version of classic minecraft was 1.6.4. After that I consider minecraft as a minecraft with mods tbh. Luck working for every ore, raids, new colorful blocks and mobs, warden, it's all cool maybe, but just don't fit in the minecraft I remember. While nether and villagers really needed their updates and I think they are very cool, everything else is just a little bit too much for me. So I prefer casually playing 1.5.2 or 1.0 sometimes. This is bringing some good ol' memories.

You know 1.17 is a blessing for disguise for me I know it didn't add alot of features that were promised BUT THINK ABOUT THE ORE GENERATION, it was extremely buffed. In fact, I belive its the best version for mining (from my playthroughs at least)

also "there's something in this direction the game doesn't like" made me chuckle - 1.13 nuked performance, so the lag was expected
Also it was highly amusing seeing you think maps and pistons were added in 1.6 and 1.7, they were added in an alpha version and b1.7 respectively (Ok I could sorta understand the piston mixup)

I stopped updating Minecraft in 1.8.9, and I have barely played any newer versions. This was really fun to watch, and I got to learn about modern Minecraft a bit too. I want to try the newer versions once I get a computer that can run it, but I currently play Minecraft on a half baked potato. By the way, do you play on any multiplayer servers?
Aw man, yeah 1.9+ is like a completely different experience, you'll have so much fun getting to know it as I did with the old versions! Especially after 1.18, the game is too beautiful now!

I'm curious, do you still have the world file for your first 1.0 world? I've been playing minecraft since I was 7 (beta 1.7.3, baby) and I've always been fascinated with early world generation algorithm oddities. I'd love to see just how far this ocean goes, since the early world gen was known to do make endless oceans sometimes

@@SwitchBackMongo I used to love to hear the level up sounds as it was like my version of achievement. Since moving up to the later versions I more so have played maps rather than focus on my own survival worlds.

Yeah I totally agree with your thoughts on 1.17, lol. My friends make fun of me for thinking it for whatever reason, but 1.17 didn't implement any of its editions! It added a few blocks but I think only one or two were actually in survival...
The thing is, in 1.8 on Xbox 360, I couldn't trade with villagers. Actually, 1.1.8 might be the version I first played. Eh, I don't know anymore. But it is nostalgic watching a modern minecraft player deal with some of the older features I played my first time in the game.

and 1.6
I've also beaten* Minecraft Pocket Edition 0.9.5 twice as well
*(there's no ender dragon fight in 0.9.5 alpha so I just activated a Nether Reactor)
I'm also close to beating:
1.12 (running IndustrialCraft 2)
PS3 Edition
and I have a version currently on 1.15/1.16 that is almost complete as well...
