As someone who's mostly played Minecraft during its beta and early release versions, the boats crashing into pieces still haunts me to this day.

i would make a boat but not a pickaxe when i spawned on islands and when i reached land i used the broken boat to make a pickaxe

The ender dragon does spawn in all difficulties, (i think in adventure too) but in peaceful the dragon will only shoot dragons breath, not do any body damage

i mean, he did kill a few blazes, but the achievements didn't go over (or does 1.0 even have achievements)

The feathers thing, yeah. Let's talk about that. I used to kill zombies for them instead of chickens, since zombies spawned more in the span of one night compared to the number of chickens I find in an entire day/night cycle. The good old days.

Something about the end being completely empty with only the enderdragon is haunting.
Fun fact: the reason you couldn't water bucket clutch is due to the older versions needing at least 2 blocks of water for fall damage negation...

@@Bruh..669 maybe its different but back in the day i could water clutch sometimes (only sometimes cos i was bad), also i think there was a glitch with a version of mc that let you clutch by placing a block at the perfect time

There's actually a speedrun category for exactly this, and it uses the fact he overlooked of how villagers trade eyes of ender from 1.3 to 1.8.

As someone who plays Minecraft in peaceful mode, this video was quite amazing. I really wish there was a way to beat it without having to downgrade. Maybe make it possible for Piglins to trade blaze rods or something....
you can trade with villagers for both ender pearls and blaze rods (cleric and alchemist)

@@whydididothatoops thank you for pointing out the obvious. there is a way to trade eyes of ender though (through the downgraded villager trading), which was ignored.
You can go to the nether in peaceful, mine gold, turn it to gold ingots, and you can pray for good RNG on a pigeon trade that gives you eyes of ender. It’s extremely rare, but very possible
You can go down to 1.8 and cause fewer issues
Another technique: in 1.8 and earlier, the clerics (in purple dresses) can trade ender eyes for emeralds

The first weeks I played Minecraft I was in peaceful mode only, which was good cuz I had spawned near a guard tower. And since I didn't know I could click "keep inventory after death" I would lose my gear and get panic attacks and stress from my GAD. Now I often switch between easy and normal when I do things to make the game calmer when I need to, and I always make sure my world will keep my inventory after death for my own sake. So a lot of improvements, and just gonna say, this is incredible!
I mainly played in creative for the first couple of years, but when I started playing Survival I did spend a lot of it on Peaceful difficulty.
Bro at 9:00 literally got an ad that was about pulled pork as he zoomed in on the pig 😂😂

just so you know, you could trade for eye's of ender directly from priest/cleric villagers from 1.3 until 1.8, they removed the trade in 1.9
thats what i thought there is no need for so much downgrading and op swords
because of this, WR for any% random seed peaceful is under half an hour
even Crafter Dark's description mentioned that and he didn't notice

Another fact is that some things are harder to kill in peaceful, but there are strongholds with libraries that I destroy, take the books, use the oak blocks to make bookcases( less inventory space used ), then take them back to base, and make my enchanting table. I take my time, enjoy the simple things, and sometimes peaceful is the best becasue it is still survival, so you recieve achievements, but get to explore more, and create using challenging methods to accumulate your necessary tools. Most of the time, I trade with villagers and find the tools, enchanted books via each villages unique villager trades. Yes. It takes weeks just to level them up and find the right villages, but it is worth knowing you challenged and did everything the hardest actual way. It truly is harder than getting all the best armor, tools and fighting uselessly against mobs who u can kill in one swing, to say “ i beat it in hard mode”…. Hardcore smardcore!!!!! Try beating it when it is done with ONLY what you and the villagers can explore, and trade for!!!! That my friends is beating it in hardcore!!!!
This is why I love peaceful. It's so much calmer, as an anxiety-filled person. It's also why I prefer playing modded over vanilla, and if I play vanilla, I play peaceful or creative.

Something that baffles me is the fact Peaceful Minecraft could be a thing to complete if they made Spawners drop a bunch of materials when destroyed, so if Blazes don’t spawn, at least you can break the Spawner for rods

@@Nyerguds No, play with some kind of difficulty. That is access to the whole game. Spawners dropping items defeats the whole point of the spawner in the first place. Either play with the difficulty on or don't have access to everything in the game, simple as that.
@@long_term_karma9899 but "Peaceful" is supposed to be the _lowest_ difficulty. The fact it blocks off part of the game is purely because of poorly thought out game design.
If you want proof of that, I'll refer you to Ilmango's way to get slime balls in Peaceful difficulty.
the problem is achievements. you would easily be able to get the achievement for killing the dragon with no difficulty, effectively removing its worth.
Being someone who's been playing the game since 2010, its funny to see peoples reaction to going back and playing the old release versions.
I remember when you accidentally looked at an enderman, then keeping eye contact so you make your escape plan?

@@aaatsa27 That was probably either a speedup of the video to get to the blaze spawn for 1 tick part ...or simply a lag spike.
In Release 1.0-1.2, you will see that happening if you approach a blaze spawner on Peaceful difficulty (and then blaze will spawn for one tick at random times). Try it yourself and you'll see, js.
Note: This was fixed in 1.6, so you can only see this behaviour of Peaceful Blaze Spawner from Release 1.0 to Release 1.5.2

If downgrading the world is an option, just downgrade to Pre-Classic and you instantly finished the game.
Pre-Classic used a completely different world format called .mclevel and it is nothing like the modern format. It would require some conversion, but I suppose it could work.

Getting the monster hunter achievement off killing the ender dragon is the funniest thing ever

Here's a little fun fact that I quite enjoy: theoretically, the ender dragon can be killed without any player interaction. It would just take a lot of creeper, time, and endermen

Idk about Java but with bedrock, the dragon is immune to both the warden and either

Honestly, to this day I'm still overly cautious with boats and lily pads. I never realised they fixed the crashing-into-sticks-amd-planks bs lmao just thought they made the speed threshold better.
Alot of the time when I play minecraft I'll play on peaceful, its just a more calming and relaxing experience, especially when you just want to build. Now, when I want an actual test and I'm completing challenges I prefer normal/hard difficulty.
Same. I do enjoy playing "normally", but there are definitely times when I just wanna play without having to worry about food and monsters and all that. It's just, well... peaceful.

depends on version of adventure mode, in some older versions you could break blocks in adventure as long as you had the correct tool with no need for can break tags

It's probably because when you go back to normal mode, the mobs that despawn in peaceful don't come back, but mobs just naturally respawn.
The ender dragon doesn't naturally respawn like other mobs and could cause a lot of issues
this is extremely cool and way more enjoyable an experience than what i'm suggesting but like it says in crafterdark's description, you can just trade for eyes of ender in 1.3

I'm fairly certain that you can get Eyes of Ender from some Villager trades - the Cleric, I think, but I could be wrong. To be fair, I think you need rotten flesh to upgrade the trades, but I think you can get that from chests in some structures.
Edit: I think it was the Ender Pearl trades, my bad. My memory from many years ago is not the best.

You can't trade to get Eyes of Ender in 1.0-1.2, because trading was introduced in version 1.3. (You can trade for Eyes of Ender in 1.3-1.8 and the current any% SSGP speedrun does that)

to be fair it would've been kinda hard to grind for it though since trading was so different back then
Fun fact: it’s not really impossible since there is a really small chance that the end portal you encounter is already fully lit, but the chances of that are so rare that you have way more chance to be struck by lightning

Chickens seem to breed really quickly and take up very little space. They are probably the best peaceful xp farm
3:30 we use the same background, epic, lol. I remember finding with some blue moody drawn mountainy google searches, it looks cool. The artist also has some smaller and vertical pieces, which I use for my phone background.
I just thought it was interesting that I have the same exact background as you on desktop, even though it’s not default.

Back in the old Minecraft water bucket clutches weren't a thing because water source that would break the fall needed to be at least two blocks deep while this is only one block deep

When villagers were first added you could trade with clerics and get eyes of ender, so you could beat the game in peaceful mode that way

They have never done this, they generate splash potions of weakness only since the hideout is used to show the process of curing zombie villagers.

Fun fact: The blazes appear for one tick, which is 1/20 of a second (or 50 milliseconds). It appears for 3 frames in the video because 3/60 simplifies to 1/20 (UA-cam displays the video at 60 fps).

man i fuck with this video. it's the most pacifist minecraft speedrun video i've ever seen on youtube, and it's also giving Sonic 1 glitched speedrun vibes at the same time. these are two concepts i haven't really seen anyone else consider while making a mcyt vid, and i think it's dope that you made one and somehow also managed to combine the two so well. thought out and funny asf too. good shit man
I remember hearing about that that peaceful mode spawner trick existing with skeletons quite a few years after full release. No idea when it was patched, but you could've probably avoided such a drastic downgrade for the world.

I used to be scared of mobs and dying. So, what I used to do is change my difficulty to Easy and block every hole to stop ghasts, wither skeletons, etc. Then, I farm the rods so I don't need to come back again.

When I first played Minecraft, I only played on Peaceful mode for a long while. I remember seeing the blaze spawn glitch in a Nether Fortress and being very creeped out by it. It must have unsettled me so much because I remember scouring that fortress and destroying every spawner in there, lmao
